Just got this today and I was having an issue with the base screw not being able to do the full 360 tighten, the fact you showed you could pull it down and move it across is huge and just solved my issue, thanks dude!
In case anyone comes across this comment. I had the same issue. Dont press the button just move the handle, was spinning forever before I realized it was just to reposition the handle
i know im really late but i hope you can help me, i am planning on getting the el gato arm and hyper x quadcast mic aswell however im not sure if i have to get special parts as i want to mount the mic horizontally.
Looks lit the post on the arm is 9/16 of a inch (14.30mm) and the desk clamp hole is little bigger then that. I tried my best to measure it with a tape measure. 😂
@@vecsor3744 you can look for a universal shock mount that works with a Quadcast. I did happen to find an adapter that could also work. amzn.to/3JDgH10
@@MrDarkcore so I need the screw adapter for my hyper x mic and the same boom arm so can u send me a link to the one you have or find one I’ve tried and I can’t but u have one so it would be easier I would be so grateful
If your interested in the mic arm, here’s the link! amzn.to/3ykkdb4

Glad I was able to help!
6:20 bro got a lil too excited
Always excited! 😂
Looks good, such a good upgrade over the traditional mic arms I am used to seeing!
I just like how easy it was to setup over some of the other arms I have used before.
im having troubles with desk clamp, i been rotating that for 20 mins now, no luck, it wont even go down,
Hmm, did you somehow strip the treading?

the adapter for the mic to fit on the threaded bar, did that come with your old boom or in the box with the quadcast ? great review :D!
It came with the Quadcast.
Thanks for doing this, just got mine today💯
No problem, I hope you enjoy this arm also!
Does it block your monitor at all
That lavalier mic is a pain to make sound decent in these videos. lol

The Quadcast shock mount has a wing nut that lets you have the mount sit vertical or horizontal. If that’s what you mean.
I just got this and use it to on my shure sm7b, do you need to tighter the back with the Allen key on the base ?
I didn’t, that screw just slows down the spin when you push the arm out of the way or used lock it completely in one position.
Whats the diameter of the desk mount hole where the arm is inserted? Or the diameter of the arm that is inserted into the desk mounting?
I will check this when I get home from work since I am not even sure on this. 😂

@@MrDarkcore Thanks! I actually already ordered it, I just plan on mounting on wall. So just figuring out my options.
Czy to ramie ma trzpienie, ktore wklada sie w uchwyt na biurku w calosci z litego metalu, czy jest to rurka?
Are you referring to pins in the desk clamp, or the actual metal tubing?
@@MrDarkcore I'm thinking of the arm, is it a full metal pin that goes into the desk?
@@rafirafal if I understand correctly, the pin your referring to is the top of the desk clamp and no it’s doesn’t go through the desk.
Nice review!
Glad you enjoyed it
Will the adapters that come with the boom arm be compatible with the hyper x quadcast s?
Yea, I am pretty sure it’s the same as the original Quadcast.
The company showed it was compatible. Thanks for the help. Getting the quadcast s at chrsitmas@@MrDarkcore
I need some help😢 where can i find the shock mount adapter by itself?
What microphone do you have?
@@MrDarkcore the same
It should’ve came in the box, they are hard to find a replacement for if you lost it.
@@MrDarkcore 😔 yeah i lost it thanks tho
What website is the easiest to find those at?
Why is there no star or nova??
Idk 😂
@@MrDarkcore so messed up
@@ubern00b23 what, seeing me isn’t good enough? 😂
Thank you!
No problem!
Where did you get the adapter to work with the arm from
Are you referring to the adapter that came with the Quadcast?
is the shock mount necessary or can i connect them both without it? since i lost the shock mount lol..
sorry i didnt lose the actual shock mount just the thing u connected
Ya, you need that to connect it to the boom arm. Finding a replacement one is difficult also.
@@MrDarkcorebut if i buy a whole new shock mount that fits the quadcast it would connect and work right?
Ya that would work.
@@vecsor3744 you can look for a universal shock mount that works with a Quadcast. I did happen to find an adapter that could also work. amzn.to/3JDgH10
For me it didn’t come with the tail to connect my hyperx with the army
The connection rod?
Need help with something
What’s up?
@@MrDarkcore so I need the screw adapter for my hyper x mic and the same boom arm so can u send me a link to the one you have or find one I’ve tried and I can’t but u have one so it would be easier I would be so grateful
The only one I could find is ones that person 3d printed since HYPERX doesn’t sell the mounting adapter alone.
@@MrDarkcore no not the mount adapter no the thing you screw in to the boom arm and the holder to hold the mic I’m trying find lost mine
So, your looking for a tread thing that increases the size of the connection rod?
