    Modifying Roller Weights for CVT Touning
    The variator is the key component in the transmission and it's effectively and automatic gear change system which continuously varies the gear ratio from low to high, depending on the speed of the scooter. The roller weights in the variator determine how quickly the gear ratio moves from low to high during acceleration and what gear ratio is used at any given speed.

    What’s up brother thanks for your vids once again I change my variation to dr pulley 14.5 sliders I think I went to heavy I have a eagle 150 gy6 my top end speed is good but when accelerating to 30 I’m pulling 5500 rpm’s if that’s true rpm on scooter I’m hearing that sliders are a gram nore then rollers is that true and if I change clutch spring to 1500 will it help me accelerate better or should I just get 12 sliders my friend I want this mopad to last as long as possible didnt know if higher rpm’s will mess it up thank you for all your info be safe

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, Dr. Pulley sliders generally feel heavier than rollers. Your current setup might be a bit too heavy, affecting acceleration. Switching to a 1500 RPM clutch spring can help with better acceleration. If the 14.5g sliders seem too heavy, trying 12g sliders might give you a better balance. Higher RPMs can stress the engine, so find a setup that offers good performance without consistently high RPMs. Thank you for watching my video and ride safe

    Why do i have to put a lil gas on my spark plug for it to start sometimes? How do i fix that or whats the problem?

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Sonny check the gap at the spark plug to make sure i not to wide also if you can find a irridium spark plug amzn.to/3yZpjHK or a better quality also there is a possibility that your carburator is a little dirty at the carburator jets but if your scooter is a gy6 could be that the stator is not producing a lot of current for your scooter

    • @kotabear1162

    Why do you think I keep having issues with my belt snapping? I just changed one, got a couple of miles and the same thing happens. My bike will stop going, but still runs. What do you suggest I look into?

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello my friend make sure your belt is the right size for your scooter plus few company make the belt little wider and that doesn’t let the belt go deep in the clutch plates and will slap and grind on the lower side of the cvt cover and at the end try to choose kevlar belts but sometimes they say is Kevlar and they are not really high quality I like gates belts made in usa but few years ago they had better quality. Thank you for watching my video

    • @johnsurguy9043

      I'd make sure there's no cracks or flare in your variator, buy Kevlar belt, much more resistant to snapping to those junk 10$ belts

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello my friend the best thing you can do is to open your cvt cover and remove your variator and check the weight that you have a the moment but for a 50 cc I will place a 6.5 g and for a 75cc a 8g amzn.to/3wsfQdr . Thank you for watching my video

    Hello I wanted to know which roller weight should I go with for a 2006 150cc tank I replace the stock 24mm with a 26mm and a racing cdi box and coil and filter it can get up to 65 till it starts to scream and vibrate i have a new 2000rpm clutch coming someone told me to go 11g weight if I want more top speed without sacrificing too much acceleration but someone else told me based on my set up I should go with either 12 or 14

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Choosing the right roller weights for your scooter can be a bit of trial and error since the ideal weight can depend on several factors such as the engine's power, weight of the scooter, and riding conditions. Based on the modifications you have made to your 2006 150cc Tank scooter, it seems like you are looking for a balance between top speed and acceleration.
      An 11g roller weight would likely increase your top speed while sacrificing some acceleration, but it's difficult to say whether it's the best choice without more information about your scooter's specific setup. However, since someone else has suggested using 12 or 14g roller weights, it may be worth considering these options as well.
      Here are some general guidelines that may help you choose the right roller weight:
      Heavier roller weights (such as 12 or 14g) will provide more low-end power and acceleration but will reduce top speed.
      Lighter roller weights (such as 11g) will increase top speed but may reduce acceleration.
      If you are unsure about which roller weight to choose, it may be helpful to test different weights to see which one works best for your specific scooter and riding style.
      Ultimately, the best way to determine the right roller weight for your scooter is to experiment with different weights and find the one that provides the best balance between acceleration and top speed for your specific setup. You may also want to consult with a qualified mechanic or scooter tuner who can provide more personalized advice based on their experience and expertise.

    I have a 150cc gy6. I weigh 270. What would be a good roller weight for better top end for me

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Selecting the right roller weights for your scooter involves some experimentation and might require adjustments based on your specific preferences and riding conditions. Generally, the goal of adjusting roller weights is to find a balance between acceleration and top speed. Since you're looking for better top-end speed, you'll want to go for slightly lighter roller weights.
      Keep in mind that roller weight recommendations can vary based on factors like scooter model, engine tuning, tire size, riding environment, and personal preferences. That being said, for a 150cc GY6 scooter with your weight of 270 pounds, you might consider starting with roller weights in the range of 10-12 grams.
      Lighter roller weights, such as 10-11 grams, can help improve top-end speed but might sacrifice a bit of low-end acceleration. On the other hand, slightly heavier roller weights around 12 grams could provide a good compromise between acceleration and top speed.

    How do I stop my front brakes from squealing on my 150cc scooter?

    • @VirberelloScooterTips
      @VirberelloScooterTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Sonny the best way to stop that is to place a little lube on the rear side of the pad like this one amzn.to/2VSIowF only on the rear not on the front part of the pad or your scooter will never going to stop if after you do this your break are still making noise att that point the compaund of the break pad they are getting to dry so you will have replace the brake pads .
