@@theawfulangler You'll love it here. You're a skilled angler & I'm sure you'll learn real quick to catch Walleye, Pike, Large & Smallmouth Bass. You'll have a blast.
Really looking forward to it. My master plan is to try and convince the wife to settle down there for a while...but I plan to make the very most of whatever time we get while we're over there!
I fished it on day 1 of the EOBC and couldn't believe how much had slipped. Unfortunately, the nature of the cliffs on that coast it will just keep going..myou can't stop mother nature!
Cheers Andrew! Yeah it's not a bad spot, have to be careful of the tides and weather as the cliffs can be treacherous and most tides will push you off the beach
It all depends mate, the whole of the holderness is sand, so only takes a bit of choppy seas to completely change the layout of the beach. When I fished Cowden last, it was a steep bank on to a gradual beach, so great over high water. That said, it could be the complete opposite by the next weekend 😅
I like your blog until you kept the bass personally being an angler myself me and my mates have put back bass at up to 4 pounds our main reason for that is because they are a very slow developing fish a four pounder would be about six to eight year old so if you keep the schoolees your doing more harm than good something to think about mate
Appreciate the comment, mate. I look at it in a slightly different view. The more mature the fish, the more offspring they produce. And seeing as its only to feed me and the Mrs, I prefer to keep smaller ones (legal of course) and return any bigger fish. Also I only keep what I know will be eaten fresh, one or 2 max, I don't believe in filling the freezer. Just another perspective, mate 👍🏼
Hey John, do you mean the bass? It was a rush to try and get the gopro on and catch my rod on the way down the slope. So yeah bad angle, apologies. I've since upgraded the gopro so I can actually check the angle on my phone now 👍🏼
Just found the channel, great videos, nice and simple, I had my pb from Hornsea was a 13lb smooth and last chuck for me a 4lb 9 codlin. Great session.
Sounds like a great session that. I've seen a few nice cod coming out lately. Seasons are all over the place
Loved it
Cheers Paul 👍🏼
Interesting video.
Glad I live & fish in Ontario, Canada.
How's the fishing over there mate? In the next year or 2, all being well we hope to take a year out to tour Canada and America

Cheers Phil, if I let fishing stress me out, I may as well stay at work 😅
What a session!!! That Bass was a belter you'll get some nice fillets off that👍
It was a great session that's for sure. That bass was cooked whole, wrapped in foil, with a touch of lemon and salt and pepper!

@@theawfulangler does the beach shelf off pretty quick, or is it pretty gradual? Looking for a new place to mission to for a few days out 🙂
