Couldn’t agree more - I bought the DCD805 and DCF850 impact driver (badged as an XR tool here in the UK) as a combo with Powerstack batteries and it’s the reason why I don’t have 12v equivalent tools. It’s a great combo. Would love to see kickback protection on the drill too.
It was always strange that the 850 wasn’t badged as an XR everywhere. And yes if it had kickback protection I really feel it would be a singular drill for a lot of people.

I still love my DCD800. It's been a workhorse and reliable in my shop. I love that it can spin up to 2000rpm. I use the 5.0 powerstacks with it though.
Absolutely love my DCD805, bought it based off your recommendation to replace my DCD996 and was blown away that it really does have the power of my old one while being much smaller! Have been drilling 3 5/8 inch holes through roof’s doing new flu’s at work and the other guys have been surprised by the little beast.
@@serdar-ors I’ve used it to install thermostats on the wall and works ok. I just use the variable trigger to try and not strip out the screws but if that was your main use there’s better options

I bought the DCD805 because it is my only drill and I need the hammer function sometimes. I really like this machine and performs much better than my previous Bosch drills. Great video!

I have found that the BPM on the DEWALT XR DCD 805 are about the same if not a little bit stronger then the MILWAUKEE M18 fuel GEN 4 have done testing on my TH-cam channel
DCD800+1.7 powerstack is my favorite drill/battery combo for almost all tasks. Would like to see the DCD800 vs. Flex Compact. I had some flex stuff (that I loved) but realized I prioritized weight and size over raw power. Never used one of the compacts though, would like to see how they compare.
I bought it when it was first released in 2022 to replace my DCD796. It beats DCD796 in power with its small size(similar weight though), and so it become my go to drill everyday, paired with DCF850. For heavier stuff or drilling a wall, I got my DCD999. Great videos as always.
The DCD805 "Type 2" sold in the UK today, actually DOES have "anti-rotation" (active anti-kickback), as well as a slightly different clutch (with only 14 torque settings). The DCD800 doesn't appear to be sold here (and is not listed on DeWalt's UK website), but the same instruction manual covers both the DCD805 and DCD800, which suggests that in some markets at least, it is possible to buy the DCD800 with anti-kickback. DeWalt's US website still only lists the "Type 1", so either they're being slow to update their website, or the "Type 2" is a regional variant not (yet?) available in the US.
You sold me on the dad 800. I’m also going to get next the dcd 1007 for its massive power and I have this thing for sheer power and be able to use on concrete whereas you can’t on the dcd 800. Yes the dcd 1007 does have anti torque setting and an arm to prevent broken/slashed.
The thing I appreciate about your comparisons is you don't abuse tools. I owe the dcd800, dcd998 I rarely use the 998 because the 800 is so powerful. It people use a tool for the right job it will work well.
Thanks. That’s my philosophy too. I get that it’s not possible for everyone but at the end of the day I bought the vast majority of these tools and I don’t want to break them. I get that it leaves the durability part of a tool up for debate but I don’t have interest in pushing them until they break.
@TinkerWithTools Spot on, at the end of the day, most of us using these every day will be using them repetitively but not absolutely abusing them. Ridiculous destructive tests actually put me off reviews from other channels as they are so farr off the mark and no real relevance.
Thank you for this video! Im still very impressed with the dcd800, and for my line of work (HVAC Tech), the size is very appealing. I run M12 fuel 99% of the time, and m18 fuel hammerdrill when I need to use the 2 9/16 hole saw for copper lines. I've been back and forth on trying the dcd800 with the 5ah PS and dcf850 with the 1.7ah PS. Instead of my m12 gen 3 impact/ hammerdrill. The m18 is great, but I have a fuel sds plus for mssonry tasks. If the dcd800 can handle a 2 9/16" hole saw. I could possibly only need 1 drill for everything. Does the 5ah PS give it quite a better competition times? Sorry, I dont wanna be the battery snob comment. But it would give it a better chance against the 6ah forge.
When the 5ah power stack battery released I tested it and yes it performs better and it possibly would have been more competitive but the fact that on smaller tasks it was competitive and even beat it M18 a few times tells me it was competitive enough especially given the point I was trying to make. (Being that the 800 with the small power stack still delivers on performance but then also keeps it lighter).

Makes them fit nicely in my veto. Plus the dcd800 could possibly eliminate a flashlight as well. You're right it's quite the unicorn.
Yeah the battery size is still the main competitive advantage of 12v tools along with weight overall. I am on enough platforms that I am not sure if I am the best person to give you advice about jumping platforms. 😂
I had one of my DCD800 is very good fast and strong. But for hole saw is seeming unsafe. I did drill my dcd800 with hole saw 2 3/4” was struggled handle and hurt my wrist. Depends on materials. I haven’t tried less 2” hole saw yet
Just got a DCD800 based on this video. I genuinely hoped the first impression would be great, because it looks like an awesome tool. Unfortunately it's got pretty awful chuck wobble right out of the box and the direction switch feels awful as well, one side basically has no button travel / feedback when going into reverse. I'll return it, and hopefully get a new one, but so far my confidence in DeWalt isn't high.

I've really enjoyed using the DCD800 & 805. One thought that i don't think i've seen anyone else mention: because of its larger size, operating the clutch adjustment ring can be significantly easier on the 805 than on the 800 - the yellow plastic trigger housing prevents you from being able to wrap your grip all the way around the clutch ring on the 800. I end up grasping comfortably around the 805 ring, and having to more deliberately position my fingers to "pinch" the 800 ring- not a big deal, but i found it annoying enough to size up to the 805.
Excellent point and one Ive made, in reference to the DCD 794 VS 799. The 794 is so light and compact, but the clutch ring is hard to turn, vs the slighter bigger 799. 799 same drill, but more UWO and Tinker With Tools bore this out in testing. That’s a great video
As an electrician I love the 800. I don’t need the hammer function because I have the atomic SDS which punches 3/8” holes into concrete no problem, and it’s rare I need to make a hole through wood bigger than 1 1/4”. If I’m drilling big holes through metal I’m usually punching a half inch hole then using my KO punch.
Yeah, DCD800 is always my go-to drill when it comes to anything serious! Perhaps DeWalt can release a top-notch replacements (for those aging 999/998 etc.) based on 800 series. Milwaukee did that with similar size. So, why not from DeWalt? Yeah, sure, as a DIY... I can also take cheaper route by taking Ryobi or Kobalt. But they are just too large for my tiny hands =/ Not to mentions DeWalt's big brothers as well.
I have the dcd805 and love it, question though. As far as power stack batteries, I only have two 5AH, I don't have those smaller 1.7. in your opinion is the power output on the 1.7 noticeably the same or about the same as the 5AH? I know technically speaking the 5AH under a time trial is probably faster in terms of drilling or fastening, I was just asking for your opinion based on noticeable usage
For me the 1.7ah is basically same power output at full charge as a 5ah XR where as the 5ah power stack is more similar to a 6ah XR. But for anything that isn’t going to have long duration or repeated use (drilling pocket holes or shelf pins, driving a few fasteners in my home or shop) it’s a great option I feel like. If you have a lot of more demanding work though you will need to go to a bigger battery. I don’t think I would ever put it on a circular saw for more than maybe a single cut for example.
hello, thanks for this good video. i am thinking between bosch GSB 18v-90c and dewalt 805. they are both 90NM. which one do u recommend. and also they are powerfull so good for drilling but can i use them also for light usage , for example furniture assembly like ikea products. i want a powerfull product for multi purpose.
Between those two...I would choose the Dewalt. I really do love the 800/805 but if you want the kickback control, then the bosch would be the one that tip in favor of. For lighter duty work, the bosch might feel like it has a little bit better finesse to it but honestly I think that they both would work.
Drill bits are a whole other topic and sadly I don't have much experience there. I do a lot of auger bits and spade bits that I can offer advice on but for standard wood and metal bits, I haven't invested to heavily in them. I have both Makita gold, Dewalt black Oxide and some newer Dewalt 1/4" hex style drill bits that have done well for me.
I got the 800 on a hack. I ended up paying $84 for the drill, 5ah battery, and charger. It is an excellent tool for the price and has done everything I asked of it💯
I bought a DCD805 a week ago, got it registered, and then realised it only has 14 torque settings on it instead of 15. The online store I bought it from says it's a manufacturer fault so contact them. They say now count the drill and hammer and you have enough. And are not accepting its a manufacturing fault or want to replace it. Even the image in the user manual has an image with the number 15 for torque settings but they are not accepting it. Didn't expect this type of customer service from DEWALT. I'm in the UK. Tried to phone them even that number isn't working.

In the UK we get the "Type 2", which has one fewer clutch setting, but also has the "anti-rotation" (anti-kickback) feature, that is lacking in the US version reviewed here - not a bad tradeoff...
No. It would have performed better but it’s down on power and speed by a decent chunk. Plus it would defeat the purpose of it being so compact with a giant anchor on it. The compact is great for what it is and performs better than I thought it would when I bought but they really are just a different class of tool IMO.

I’ve got a slightly “self serving” Video idea for you: Pit the DCD 800 against the DCD799?!? 🤔 Picked up the DCD 800 kit with 1.7 Power Stack and regular 2.0 battery, with the insipid little bag, and some ridiculous mini charger, for $169.00 @ My local Lowe’s. I like the DCD 800, but the gear train sounds a bit rough and loud, almost as if it will self destruct at any moment? I may exchange it, or go for the one at Homer Despot for $269.00 with two 1.7 Power Stacks, better charger, and I think a better bag? I will find it cheaper, and then ask them to match the price. They WILL match Amazon, if it is sold by Amazon, and not a third party. I’ve got to make a decision and return some of these dang drills! 🤔🙄🤪
When I did the testing for the compact drills video I did a few weeks ago, I tested the DCD800 through the same tests both on a powerstack battery and it wasn’t all that competitive. The 800 would have finished with the top time easily where the 799 was in like 5 or 6th if my memory serves me. For my money and my wallet I pick the 800 all day every day and if you were asking about the 794 I would say you are crazy but the 799 is a perfectly serviceable drill, it’s just not on the same level as the 800. Maybe I’ll make a quick short for you to check out some comparison times.

Excellent video love your channel. In 1st gear when I flip my direction from reverse to forward and gently press the trigger there is a "clack" sound that happens as the drill engages. This only happens in 1st gear and is completely silent in 2nd. I was wondering if your dcd800 does this?
Can you make a video comparing the DCD800 vs the DCD805? In my experience I have actually seen some improvement with higher torque applications with the DCD805.
COOL TESTING!!!! 👏👏👏 Dewalt has so many drills, you'll never run out of things to test! I agree it's time for Dewalt to grow up and put safety features in their drills. Ridgid drills have kickback protection now. I was looking at the 798/799 and they LOOK different but seem to have the same drill inside the plastic.
I like the Xtreme and even liked it more than the prior generation of Milwaukee M12 Fuel to some degree, but the newer generation of M12 won me over with the improvements to the drill especially. But they are both great options!
@@TinkerWithTools I tried M12 at Home Depot and to me the 12V DeWalt Xtreme drill feels better in the hand. The ergonomics, the compactness and sheer power won me over. Bought myself two 3ah DeWalt batteries and love it.
I bought a battery for dewalt 805 from amazon. The date written on battery is 2022. Do i need to send back and search for a new date 2023 , 2024 or 2022 is not a problem . what do u think, thanks.
Buying batteries on amazon can always be a bit of a gamble. I would say if the price was worth the potential of it being older, than it might be worth the gamble, but if you need to rely on the battery and it wasn't a screaming price, then you might want to return it.
Agree 100%. Love the Dewalt, but with its power to size ratio (and lack of handle or any safety shutoff) it has come closer to snapping my wrist on multiple occasions than any drill I have ever owned.
Yeah it gets to a point where it needs to be respected. As I mentioned it’s not perfect and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend running the bigger hole saws and spade bits without good bracing.
I haven't noticed anything more than what I see how of similarly sized drills doing the work. When you have something powerful and compact heat is always going to be an issue that you deal with.

I've using milwaukee tools for a long time, they are awesome, but.... two weeks ago I just found a really cheap dcd805 on facebook marketplace, so I am giving dewalt a try, and wooow, basically same size than the milwaulkee, but lighter and powerfull enough for most jobs, I do lots of overhead work, so i tend to use lighter drills and impact drivers, but powerfull, so the coimbination on the dewalt dcd805 or dcd800, is sooo good, great size and weight, and powerfull enough, dont take me wrong I still love milwaukee, but Dewalt is a great choice in some scenarios, and Yes, I did tried dewalt because of your videos, thanks.... and I think i will try Makita, because WHY NOT?? Probably this (DCD800) for most things or I really like the Makita XGT when I need a little more power. But there are a lot of drills in that next tier down that are really awesome as well.
Dhp489 is a good mid tier option on Makita 18v lxt. I have dhp486 which is pretty much the most grunty one in the lxt lineup. Xgt is great prices are still insane.
The newer Version of the Bosch GSR 18V-535 is an absolute Beast. I have the Dewalt and the newer Bosch (in Europe it's: GSR 18V-90 C). and both are very similar. Length, power, rpm. In Europe the Bosch is around 140-160€ with a Box. The Dewalt is the same without a battery. I think the new Bosch is not yet out in US. Bosch and Dewalt Compact drills are crazy engineering. Brushless, compact design, high quality. Top Notch Tools The Bosch has Anti-Kickback, Bluetooth and normal Clutch OR electronic Clutch with a normal button The Makita XPH12 is also great compact drill. In Europe he is around 90 Euros. Around 100 dollar without Battery
@@serdar-ors they are very similar. When you like Bosch, go for it. When you like Dewalt more, get the dcd805. In power and handling they are pretty much the same. In Quality the Bosch is top notch. Dewalt is also good but not this high level. In Europe the most things of Bosch are more cheaper i think. In North America you can better deals (batterys, specials, Lowe's deal, Black friday...) of dewalt or milwaukee. When they're are similar in price in your country, then go for your favorite brand. When i would live in the US, i would go for dewalt or milwaukee.

They have a new drill that debuted at world of concrete. I can’t say the specs seem like it will be as strong but I’ll have hands on in the next couple of days and will have a review on it next week potentially
The batteries are the same. In Europe and other parts of the world they require to disclose the nominal and not max voltage. DEWALT in the US just markets it as 20v to give the appearance of it being a higher voltage than their competitors.
Okay 👍👍 👌 great job but I think that a couple of these numbers were possibly off I've had the 800 since it's came out and have raved and spoke highly of it since I've had it, with that said I have the 2904 as well and I can tell you that there's no way the 800 can beat it in any comparison or vs, I'm not saying that you scued the numbers in any way but I believe the DeWalt hit some soft spots 2,000 rpm vs 2,100 and a 600" lb difference between them there's just no way possible maybe if you would have done best of lets say three on each we would have seen different numbers and quite different. And no the 800 is not in the same ballpark as the fuel but is still a great little drill one of my go to's for sure with that 1.7 but like I said I don't think this showed the true difference between the three.
Yes there are ways where you can make the testing more scientific but I also am not attempting to prove that the DCD800 is better than the FUEL. But on smaller less demanding tasks the difference isn’t that big. Once you get to a point where the rest is relying more on torque that’s where the gap widens but I would recommend you use a different drill at that point like the Fuel or the DCD999 if you want to be on DEWALT.

It’s down on power compared to the DCD800. I think I have a video where I test both of them. It was a compact drill video a few months back.
Love this drill. After a back and forth, i ended up with the xtreme 12v and DCD800 last year. Dont need any other drill.

It’s a great drill. Not the perfect drill for every situation but it’s more than adequate for most.

They really hit a sweet spot with that drill.
I've really enjoyed using the DCD800 & 805. One thought that i don't think i've seen anyone else mention: because of its larger size, operating the clutch adjustment ring can be significantly easier on the 805 than on the 800 - the yellow plastic trigger housing prevents you from being able to wrap your grip all the way around the clutch ring on the 800. I end up grasping comfortably around the 805 ring, and having to more deliberately position my fingers to "pinch" the 800 ring- not a big deal, but i found it annoying enough to size up to the 805.
I get what you are saying. It hasn’t bothered me about to change but I do feel that way about the DEWALT 12v stuff, especially the 5-in-1
Excellent point and one Ive made, in reference to the DCD 794 VS 799. The 794 is so light and compact, but the clutch ring is hard to turn, vs the slighter bigger 799. 799 same drill, but more UWO and Tinker With Tools bore this out in testing. That’s a great video
As an electrician I love the 800. I don’t need the hammer function because I have the atomic SDS which punches 3/8” holes into concrete no problem, and it’s rare I need to make a hole through wood bigger than 1 1/4”. If I’m drilling big holes through metal I’m usually punching a half inch hole then using my KO punch.
I bought the dcd 805 and the 850 impact driver. They should last a long time for work around the house.

Yeah, DCD800 is always my go-to drill when it comes to anything serious!
Perhaps DeWalt can release a top-notch replacements (for those aging 999/998 etc.) based on 800 series. Milwaukee did that with similar size. So, why not from DeWalt?
Yeah, sure, as a DIY... I can also take cheaper route by taking Ryobi or Kobalt. But they are just too large for my tiny hands =/ Not to mentions DeWalt's big brothers as well.
I hope they do come up with a new flagship that takes the good of the 999 but improves on the size and ergonomics. That would be awesome!
I have the dcd805 and love it, question though. As far as power stack batteries, I only have two 5AH, I don't have those smaller 1.7. in your opinion is the power output on the 1.7 noticeably the same or about the same as the 5AH? I know technically speaking the 5AH under a time trial is probably faster in terms of drilling or fastening, I was just asking for your opinion based on noticeable usage
In my day to day power output seems similar but the small ones die off pretty quick if put on any heavy use tools.
For me the 1.7ah is basically same power output at full charge as a 5ah XR where as the 5ah power stack is more similar to a 6ah XR. But for anything that isn’t going to have long duration or repeated use (drilling pocket holes or shelf pins, driving a few fasteners in my home or shop) it’s a great option I feel like. If you have a lot of more demanding work though you will need to go to a bigger battery. I don’t think I would ever put it on a circular saw for more than maybe a single cut for example.
hello, thanks for this good video. i am thinking between bosch GSB 18v-90c and dewalt 805. they are both 90NM. which one do u recommend. and also they are powerfull so good for drilling but can i use them also for light usage , for example furniture assembly like ikea products. i want a powerfull product for multi purpose.
Between those two...I would choose the Dewalt. I really do love the 800/805 but if you want the kickback control, then the bosch would be the one that tip in favor of. For lighter duty work, the bosch might feel like it has a little bit better finesse to it but honestly I think that they both would work.

Drill bits are a whole other topic and sadly I don't have much experience there. I do a lot of auger bits and spade bits that I can offer advice on but for standard wood and metal bits, I haven't invested to heavily in them. I have both Makita gold, Dewalt black Oxide and some newer Dewalt 1/4" hex style drill bits that have done well for me.

I got the 800 on a hack. I ended up paying $84 for the drill, 5ah battery, and charger. It is an excellent tool for the price and has done everything I asked of it💯

I bought a DCD805 a week ago, got it registered, and then realised it only has 14 torque settings on it instead of 15. The online store I bought it from says it's a manufacturer fault so contact them. They say now count the drill and hammer and you have enough. And are not accepting its a manufacturing fault or want to replace it. Even the image in the user manual has an image with the number 15 for torque settings but they are not accepting it. Didn't expect this type of customer service from DEWALT. I'm in the UK. Tried to phone them even that number isn't working.

In the UK we get the "Type 2", which has one fewer clutch setting, but also has the "anti-rotation" (anti-kickback) feature, that is lacking in the US version reviewed here - not a bad tradeoff...
Would the compact Milwaukee have hung with the dewalt better if you had thrown the forge on?
No. It would have performed better but it’s down on power and speed by a decent chunk. Plus it would defeat the purpose of it being so compact with a giant anchor on it. The compact is great for what it is and performs better than I thought it would when I bought but they really are just a different class of tool IMO.

I’ve got a slightly “self serving” Video idea for you: Pit the DCD 800 against the DCD799?!? 🤔 Picked up the DCD 800 kit with 1.7 Power Stack and regular 2.0 battery, with the insipid little bag, and some ridiculous mini charger, for $169.00 @ My local Lowe’s. I like the DCD 800, but the gear train sounds a bit rough and loud, almost as if it will self destruct at any moment? I may exchange it, or go for the one at Homer Despot for $269.00 with two 1.7 Power Stacks, better charger, and I think a better bag? I will find it cheaper, and then ask them to match the price. They WILL match Amazon, if it is sold by Amazon, and not a third party. I’ve got to make a decision and return some of these dang drills! 🤔🙄🤪
When I did the testing for the compact drills video I did a few weeks ago, I tested the DCD800 through the same tests both on a powerstack battery and it wasn’t all that competitive. The 800 would have finished with the top time easily where the 799 was in like 5 or 6th if my memory serves me. For my money and my wallet I pick the 800 all day every day and if you were asking about the 794 I would say you are crazy but the 799 is a perfectly serviceable drill, it’s just not on the same level as the 800. Maybe I’ll make a quick short for you to check out some comparison times.

I really think the dewalt take some beating. Ive always run them and a few makita, so never felt the need to try Milwaukee.
Excellent video love your channel. In 1st gear when I flip my direction from reverse to forward and gently press the trigger there is a "clack" sound that happens as the drill engages. This only happens in 1st gear and is completely silent in 2nd. I was wondering if your dcd800 does this?

Can you make a video comparing the DCD800 vs the DCD805? In my experience I have actually seen some improvement with higher torque applications with the DCD805.
I haven't noticed much of a difference in them. I'll keep it on the list but for me, there feel to be identical in power.

COOL TESTING!!!! 👏👏👏 Dewalt has so many drills, you'll never run out of things to test! I agree it's time for Dewalt to grow up and put safety features in their drills. Ridgid drills have kickback protection now.
I was looking at the 798/799 and they LOOK different but seem to have the same drill inside the plastic.
I will have a review of the DCD 799 out later today sometime. It's a lot better than the 794! Still not as good as the 800 but a big improvement.
Great vid! My favorite drill is the compact, Xtreme 12V DCD 701. For my needs it's perfect.
I like the Xtreme and even liked it more than the prior generation of Milwaukee M12 Fuel to some degree, but the newer generation of M12 won me over with the improvements to the drill especially. But they are both great options!
@@TinkerWithTools I tried M12 at Home Depot and to me the 12V DeWalt Xtreme drill feels better in the hand. The ergonomics, the compactness and sheer power won me over. Bought myself two 3ah DeWalt batteries and love it.
I bought a battery for dewalt 805 from amazon. The date written on battery is 2022. Do i need to send back and search for a new date 2023 , 2024 or 2022 is not a problem . what do u think, thanks.
Buying batteries on amazon can always be a bit of a gamble. I would say if the price was worth the potential of it being older, than it might be worth the gamble, but if you need to rely on the battery and it wasn't a screaming price, then you might want to return it.

Agree 100%. Love the Dewalt, but with its power to size ratio (and lack of handle or any safety shutoff) it has come closer to snapping my wrist on multiple occasions than any drill I have ever owned.
Yeah it gets to a point where it needs to be respected. As I mentioned it’s not perfect and I wouldn’t necessarily recommend running the bigger hole saws and spade bits without good bracing.
My 805 gets hot fast, no load, anyone else have this issue?
I haven't noticed anything more than what I see how of similarly sized drills doing the work. When you have something powerful and compact heat is always going to be an issue that you deal with.

I've using milwaukee tools for a long time, they are awesome, but.... two weeks ago I just found a really cheap dcd805 on facebook marketplace, so I am giving dewalt a try, and wooow, basically same size than the milwaulkee, but lighter and powerfull enough for most jobs, I do lots of overhead work, so i tend to use lighter drills and impact drivers, but powerfull, so the coimbination on the dewalt dcd805 or dcd800, is sooo good, great size and weight, and powerfull enough, dont take me wrong I still love milwaukee, but Dewalt is a great choice in some scenarios, and Yes, I did tried dewalt because of your videos, thanks.... and I think i will try Makita, because WHY NOT?? Probably this (DCD800) for most things or I really like the Makita XGT when I need a little more power. But there are a lot of drills in that next tier down that are really awesome as well.

Dhp489 is a good mid tier option on Makita 18v lxt. I have dhp486 which is pretty much the most grunty one in the lxt lineup. Xgt is great prices are still insane.
The newer Version of the Bosch GSR 18V-535 is an absolute Beast. I have the Dewalt and the newer Bosch (in Europe it's: GSR 18V-90 C). and both are very similar. Length, power, rpm. In Europe the Bosch is around 140-160€ with a Box. The Dewalt is the same without a battery. I think the new Bosch is not yet out in US.
Bosch and Dewalt Compact drills are crazy engineering. Brushless, compact design, high quality. Top Notch Tools
The Bosch has Anti-Kickback, Bluetooth and normal Clutch OR electronic Clutch with a normal button
The Makita XPH12 is also great compact drill. In Europe he is around 90 Euros. Around 100 dollar without Battery
I don't have the standard version but I have the 18v Flexiclick which is believe is the same motor. It's a nice, really solid drill.

@@serdar-ors they are very similar. When you like Bosch, go for it. When you like Dewalt more, get the dcd805. In power and handling they are pretty much the same. In Quality the Bosch is top notch. Dewalt is also good but not this high level.
In Europe the most things of Bosch are more cheaper i think.
In North America you can better deals (batterys, specials, Lowe's deal, Black friday...) of dewalt or milwaukee.
When they're are similar in price in your country, then go for your favorite brand. When i would live in the US, i would go for dewalt or milwaukee.
@@jakeharley2969 thanks. dewalt was %50 more cheaper than bosch so i bought dewalt. bosch max tork was 64NM and dewalt was 90NM. i dont know if it is important , maybe numbers dont show real usage.

They have a new drill that debuted at world of concrete. I can’t say the specs seem like it will be as strong but I’ll have hands on in the next couple of days and will have a review on it next week potentially

The batteries are the same. In Europe and other parts of the world they require to disclose the nominal and not max voltage. DEWALT in the US just markets it as 20v to give the appearance of it being a higher voltage than their competitors.

Okay 👍👍 👌 great job but I think that a couple of these numbers were possibly off I've had the 800 since it's came out and have raved and spoke highly of it since I've had it, with that said I have the 2904 as well and I can tell you that there's no way the 800 can beat it in any comparison or vs, I'm not saying that you scued the numbers in any way but I believe the DeWalt hit some soft spots 2,000 rpm vs 2,100 and a 600" lb difference between them there's just no way possible maybe if you would have done best of lets say three on each we would have seen different numbers and quite different. And no the 800 is not in the same ballpark as the fuel but is still a great little drill one of my go to's for sure with that 1.7 but like I said I don't think this showed the true difference between the three.
Yes there are ways where you can make the testing more scientific but I also am not attempting to prove that the DCD800 is better than the FUEL. But on smaller less demanding tasks the difference isn’t that big. Once you get to a point where the rest is relying more on torque that’s where the gap widens but I would recommend you use a different drill at that point like the Fuel or the DCD999 if you want to be on DEWALT.
