Turn right out of Sharpness...

This is what you can expect if you turn right out of Sharpness! It's believed nothing larger than a rowing boat or RIB has gone over Llantony Weir since 1941. It certainly makes you appreciate what the ships coming to Gloucester and further on, had to cope with before the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal was built in 1827.
