Beautiful job! I'm always happy to see a pedestal sink replaced. Pedestals are ugly, hard for plumbers to access, and worst of all, they deprive you of storage space, both on surface and underneath. I love your channel. When I was 5 I watched my father build a 4-bedroom home for us, including electrical, masonry, plumbing and all carpentry. And, at age 70, I do my own carpentry and simple plumbing & installation work around the apartment. You're an inspiration!
Thank you so much for this video! Frankly I love vessel sinks cause then all my stuff can’t roll into the sink while I’m doing my makeup. And your dog is so cute.
OMG! Just starting my own wood top bathroom vanity project and the one thing I had angst about was what to seal it with. I literally just came home with the Helmsman Clear Satin! Yay!
Very clever...building a wood box to raise the height of the faucet and handles! With that addition there is no need to buy a vessel faucet! I can use my original facet! Thanks!
Fantastic!!! Def a sub and a like!!! I absolutely loved it..plus the doggie at the end was the bonus..I'm doing one similar tonight for a friend and this is exactly what I was wanting!! Kudos sister!!
I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out a reasonable vanity top to put over the existing to make a vessel sink. Since I'm a renter it get's tricky, but I think this might be a solution. Great job!
I went with one that was 15.75" across. It's pretty big, but I'm happy with it: www.homedepot.com/p/DEERVALLEY-Horizon-White-Oval-Bathroom-Ceramic-Vessel-Sink-Art-Basin-Not-Included-Faucet-DV-1V051/322643613
I actually didn't use anything at the base of the sink. The drain connection kept it tight enough and there was not an issue of water, so a caulk/silicone would have only been for looks, which I didn't think I needed. Have not had a problem so far (it's been about a year)
Maybe dog needs her teet cleaned. Mine had bad teeth and after pulled she is fine and can give sweet kisses! I would have put in smaller sink so I could put more things on counter but it looks good and was the right price!
When I grow up I swear I want to be like you. Both of my parents build from scratch and all I seem to get is righty tighty....you are my hero.

Nice job.
Does the vessel sink just attach to the top the standard way , with the drain washer and nut,
thanks
Love it.
Ok, I'll subscribe. Please don't let the dog gets it.
Dimensions would be nice.
What vessel size dud you go with?

What product did you use around the base of the sink? Just caulk or something else?

What is the vanity height without the sink installed?
The top of the vanity is 30.5 inches
What’s this music, please?
Stick around to the end...there are credits!
