Honestly if you're into the guns with higher skill-cap look no further than iron sights only Martini Henry and Obrez play. Highest skill cap guns in the game and arguably the most fun to use as well. Give it a shot. Shotguns are going to be a little too easy to play and get to broken gameplay very quickly which is why this shotgun variant imo is nothing special.
I love using both of those, but once you get used to the bullet velocity on the martini and position at the right distance, its sweet spot is so forgiving that I wouldn't consider its skill cap to be as high as some other guns like the Gewehr M.95 that requires headshots for 1hk. It's definitely unforgiving though haha
@@Mr.Zilreth Gewehr M.95 does require headshot for 1hk HOWEVER it will always hit for over 75dmg on the first hit anywhere in or around center mass which will be the vast majority of your shots. So whoever then even sneezes on that enemy they will kill them and you will still benefit an assist giving you a kill register regardless. Its fast fire rate and reload are also a huge advantage over the martini so in general the kpm is way higher and due to that.. still not as high skill cap as the Martini imho. Just because of the handicap of kpm from Martini alone. It's just a different playstyle. M.95 is the kind of rifle you use from safety behind walls just "touching" enemies and still benefiting kills your buddies kill for you while Martini and Obrez playstyle is much more tactical and calculated.
I think it comes down to our definitions of skill cap. Once you're really good, the martini is kinda easy mode since you can still ohk to other parts of the body. At that same level of skill, the Gewehr M.95 is consistently good and easy to use. But if you are even more skilled, you can squeeze out more value out of the M.95 with headshots but your impact with the Martini has effectively plateaud since you don't have to go for them most of the time. It still has a high skill cap, but it doesn't benefit much from improving aiming skills past a certain point.
The sjogren cant one shot to the body, thats a lot more risky imo. With the 1900 you have to play kinda safe all the time, so overextending is less "risk" and more "you shouldn't be there"
@ yeah but with the Sjogren you can miss your shots and still get away with it, right? Its been a while since i used it i think its time to switch things up…
It depends on the player I guess, with just one target close up and 2 shots at one shotting it with the 1900, it doesnt feel risky to me, especially because they most of the time die easily to the first. Getting a headshot with the sjogren is harder than just hitting one body. You also then have to decide in a split second whether to go for one to the head, risking missing, or just go straight to the body for a consistent but slower kill. In situations where you are already hurt, the sjogren is therefore much risker to have since its harder to secure the kill fast enough to still win a duel. Everything is situational in this game though, too much to consider lol
@@Mr.Zilreth Well, thats IF the shotgun Gods blessed you with their favor because my 1900 sure as hell doesnt one tap as often as i think it should so i usually end up having to use both shots because the first one did 99,8 damage hahahaha Idk, last time i used the Sjorgen was because a guy in chat on the enemy team was using and talking about it and i remember doing pretty well just like when used the M97 as long as i go in knowing a one shot isnt my bread and butter so bevause of my experience with shotguns in BF1 i just got used to expect a double tap so that downside of the Sjorgen isnt that big of a deal to me... The amount of times i got killed reloading my 1900 either because i didnt get a one shot, missed or another soldier showed up is high in the sky but no amount of deaths will take away that feeling when you pop two players in a split second, thats irreplaceable!
At around 15:21 you were so close to clearing out that whole bunker except for that guy who popped out with that MG. Everyone else was totally focused on the other door.
@Mr.Zilreth I had never tried using this shotgun before but this map on operations as the attacking force came up this morning so I gave it a shot and I was killing it. I was so far out ahead for kills from everyone else, I couldn't believe it. But of course, like usual when I'm having an exceptional game, I had to leave early to take care of some real life obligations. Thanks for the recommendation tho, it is rewarding to use.
Meh, this one falls in the "Absolutely nothing special about it" category. It's not underrated, that would be the Trench Carbine or the Factory version of the Sjögren, this one is just straight "You barely pass", like the 12G Auto Extended.
ehh idk about nothing special, it has the highest skill cap of any shotgun by a mile. Only thing is the 10A slug can one shot to the head much farther but with this you could theoretically drop 5 people at close-mid distance much quicker
@Mr.Zilreth Yes, you could theoretically kill 5 people in close to medium range if all shots are headshots. Not to mention the other 2 sluggers could kill in close quarters with a body shot. But the the odds of this happening are very slim to none, about as slim as dropping 2 enemies from close range with a full Kolibri clip by hitting only headshots.
Thats the thing though, it is capable of much more than most people can get out of it, which I think is great from a design perspective. It's harder to use, but you can be greatly rewarded
Zilreth is the bob ross of battlefield, always so relaxing
bf1 is just a pile of happy accidents
Glad you’re using the native languages again. Sounds much better
Agreed
I'm not gonna lie, I haven't really got the hang of this weapon.
11:24 The double collateral was insane though
I can't believe I didn't even notice it live lol, a viewer pointed it out

hahahah I did not notice this either that was hilarious, dude was going mach 17
This shotgun is so underrated.
It's really the definition of a gun that gives back what you put into it, and all without being under or overpowered. Love this one
Nah the 1900 is all the risk but (almost) all the reward...
"Almost" because the 10-A exists.
