Yeah, it was discarded and managed to rescue it and put a battery in, it's damaged but still works, I love it.

Hey, I've watched the video and tried myself to copy the AC remote and it worked well only to turn on but not to turn off, which is ok it was for fun, regarding the mention that TVs nowdays no longer support these frequecy, that is not correct as you can loose the remote, also I've tested on various newer model tvs and it worked flawlesly.

Hi, yes you are correct.
I was wrong about that incompatibility with today's infra red tvs, since making the video I've discovered that some of the codes actually work well.
My mistake

i have one of these ,in mint condition . i would use it to wind up the Restaurant owner in greece while on holiday ,many years ago ,he was a close friend ,he would watch basketball in the mornings when the Restaurant was quiet , while having a coffee . and i would switch off his tv , hahaha at least 6 times ,the look of confusion on his face , was priceless . he finally sussed me out hahaha

I used to prank relatives with my one as well... Everyone except my grandad, who was the one who bought it for me. I let him off the hook 😛
