    Never buy this iRobot products. It is made by a scam company. I bought brand new from an eBay seller. It is still under warranty and it broke down. The support person told me because I didn't purchase it from an authorized seller. So there is no warranty. They told me I have to pay for the repair even though it is still under warranty. Avoid this scam company.

    Just took my refurbished iRobot out of box… it’s a 960 series ,I believe the app has asked me to place it one the charger and after a minute it’s supposed to illuminate white but it’s green button and the symbol above the green button shows the red battery light flashing and then turns off. When I wake up again.. it shows the battery is dead out of box. Is I haven’t been able to connect it to my Wi-Fi yet… so any recommendations?

    iroomba 675 (and others) only connects to 2.4 ghz routers. If, like me, you have a 2.4/5 ghz router you need to shut off the 5 ghz part in the router during setup, then you can turn it back on after setup... (you have to google or call isp if you don't understand how to get into your router). If your router doesn't have 2.4 ghz then you will NOT be able to connect to it. Only solution would be to get a router with 2.4 ghz. gl

    Thanks for the video. I just got my first Roomba and its not getting through the setup due to the iRobot device not being detected by the App.
    Our Wi-Fi is fast and stable, as confirmed by other devices that are also connected to it. I work in IT, so this type of thing is not new to me.
    However, this new Roomba consistently fails to complete setup and its pretty aggravating.

      Hmmm try restarting the robot by holding the power button for 15 seconds. Also try uninstalling the iRobot app, than unplug your WiFi router for 15 seconds and plug back in. Reinstall the iRobot app and wait for everything to boot up. Make sure the phone on 2.4 ghz. Try again

    • @toothybj
      @toothybj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the tips! I have it working now. I tried your suggestions and it still wasn’t getting past the part of the setup where it connects to the Roomba access point, as it seemed fine, but would then ask me to manually change my iPhone’s Wifi network from the Roomba AP back to my (2.4 GHz) WiFi network. I did this & it would still fail and go back to the beginning of the setup process.
      When I selected “Roomba” -> “Roomba s series” instead of “Roomba” -> “Roomba” from the setup, it worked perfectly and is now cleaning & mapping out my house.
      I have an “iRobot Roomba e5”, so I didn’t realize I needed to select “Roomba s series” from the setup process in order to make it work.
      Hopefully this helps others running into a similar issue.
      Thanks & Happy Holidays!

      Hmmn is your Wifi network setup to run 2.4 gHz? They only support this and not the 5 gHz. Does the robot see your WiFi network??? So what is the issue in the connection process?

      clou1969 I mentioned in one of my videos how I liked how clean and easy to use the App is. It’s a one stop shop app, You can buy Roombas, accessories, troubleshoot error codes and control the robot all from the single App.

      Robot Masters I think Roomba will never navigate as good as a LIDAR robot. But I find the i7 very capable it’s just lacking of logic sometimes.

    • @RobotMasters

      Irobot has the hardware to perform as well or better than the Roborock.. I got $100 robot vac that out performed the Roborock in terms of advance path planning and navigation

    Any idea what to do if a "Your phone is not connected to a Wi-Fi network" message comes up? My phone is connected to the Wifi and it seems to be working for everything else in the house. My router is compatible and I read through the iRobot webpage.

    • @RobotMasters
      @RobotMasters  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So I would try to repair the iRobot, by holding down the Home and Spot clean button until you get an indicator light on the robot. Once the robot is booted up launch the App and ass new robot. Go through the pairing process and hopefully the robot will reconnect to the WiFi network. Lastly make sure your phone and robot on the same 2.4 GHz WiFi network.

      Sure are you on a 2.4 ghz WiFi network, try uninstalling and reinstalling the App and powering the robot off and on. Also unplug your WiFi router for a minute and plug back in. Wait 5 minutes and try again

    • @davidrobinson8319

      iroomba 675 (and others) only connects to 2.4 ghz routers. Only solution would be to get a router with 2.4 ghz. gl just figured this out today

    I’ve contacted IRobot for the latest firmware. The 1.6.6 is not the latest one. I had great service.
    See the answer.
    you're correct the latest version is 2.6.13 and it's deploy to all our robot in batches. Please know our team is working diligently on ensuring all batches receives the update. Once your robot batch is next in line this software would be deploy from our end. Several attempts would be made until successful. You would receive a notification in the App also.
    Here at iRobot we take pride in ensuring our customer's satisfaction and we're always here to assist simply because of our determination to continue excelling.
