Euuuhhhhh.... "Summer Wine" is certainly a nice song, but quintessentially sexist in that it presents the woman as a deceiver who seduces and then disappears with the "silver spurs" (and, yes, the man asks for more...). This could not be further away from Rohmer's discourse and universe.
@@DarkAngelEU Oh come on, he is very cute, his way of talking is absolutely charming (which might not be perceptible if you are not French), and after all, it is quite easy to "fall" in love. But after falling you can stand up again.
@@DarkAngelEU I should not have accused Summar Wine of "sexism", a word which encompasses way too many things. That song is just utterly unrelated to Rohmer. For one thing, in Summer Wine, the seducer is a woman and in this film it is a man. And for another, Rohmer has made many spendid and empathetic portraits of young women (which is not the case of Summer Wine, to say the least). But anyway, why did I comment on this random and meaningless association of film images with sound track on TH-cam? You tell me...

This movie sounds like some weird male fantasy too though, three women all fall in love with him and then he has to choose? Verrry realistic.
@@DarkAngelEU If I remember correctly the guy is protrayed as a narcistic jerk, not excatly a male fantasy...
@@jean-francoisbrunet2031 So, why would they fall in love with him in the first place?
