I used to listen to this song all the time 3 years ago everynight at like 2 AM, even tho I had classes in the morning. I used to feel so lonely back then but somehow everytime I listened to this song I didn't dislike that feeling, I felt at peace. Emotional eating is an oversimplification of what happens. Food gives our brains a boost in serotonin, gaba and dopamine... a high if you will. When a lonely or depressed person hardly eats that's when it's a cause for concern bc they don't even try to feel joy anymore

It's not ok. Most people don't think far ahead. One day, your mom, your dad, everyone is dead. Friends might be there, but they have their own life. And if you think being alone is hard at 20,30 or 40, try it at 70,80 or 90, when you can't even leave the house maybe. I saw it in my grandma and felt so bad for her😢. I'd rather get hit by a bus and die younger than to suffer through that. Now I am 38 and I already spent 90% of the last 20 years completely alone.

I watched this movie at a time in my life when i was filled with sadness and regret. i was frozen in place. Even tho things are better now, for some reason, sometimes i look back at that time with fondness. Like things were simpler and easier when i wasn't trying. Sometimes i slip back into my old habits and come back at this part of youtube for a moment of shelter.

I love how this song is about loneliness plus the scenes where can of pineapples is being shown symbolizes that a can of pineapples is also lonely cause people don't usually like pineapples. Love that.
The feeling of endless echoing loneliness I get from this is just sad. Like I just lost the one I loved most and all I have left is fading pictures and distant memories. Occasionally a scent or sound will take me back. Majority of my time now is just spent enjoying the memories of better times and company. Here's to hoping time truly heals. As this hurt is too great. I love that the internet exists because even when I'm by myself, I can still find groups of people who share some of my interests. It makes me feel like I belong somewhere, you know? But imagine being lonely in a place like Hong Kong back in the 80s, with no internet to connect with others and just the constant noise and bright lights of the crowded streets. I've been living with my parents all my life (i'm 25), and this year i received i very good job oportunity and i had to move to lisbon. Right now i'm living alone. chungking express is literally one of the best movies that i’ve watched. and i found this song + this edit on my youtube’s recommend page on 31st of december 2020. i celebrated new year with this song lol. i kept replaying this video over and over again. and whenever i listen “chamber of reflection” the only thing comes to my mind is this edit and also some kind of “love” that i was being through at that time lol. i really thought even it’s a tiny bit, i related myself with this song so much. yeah, that was it. if you read it already thank you
