Orianna's 1st skill needs a movement speed boost. It moves to slow against champs like Lucian, Yasou, Jinx when her passive is active, Ahri. She struggles against high mobility champs & at the stage WR is moving since Riot is trying to speed up games from the 30min mark to less time she's never gonna get picked because she's super easy to outplay.
I used to main ori, but the problem now is that she is easily picked off by the amount of assassins and gap closers there are in the game, and other champs do her zoning job a lot better and easier. Right now I feel she doesn't really have a place unless she plays in a comp where she can sit back and buff the front line while doing damage. If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them on how to play around thus meta
I'm having success playing her full early game snowballing over scaling. I go for domination tree, with scorch, cheap shot and either eyeball collector or ingenious hunter. Ingenious hunter if I will need my enchant, like I played this one game vs Zed and I had zhonya on a 90ish seconds cooldown, and coupled with exhaust he literally never could kill me. Eyeball collector is for the rest of the situations where I don't need my enchant as often. Second rune is manaflow band because of the items. For the Keystone, I like Electrocute for the surprise burst and when I proc it with my Q + W + E/AA combo it always chunks down a ton of hp. As for the items, I go mana boots into luden's echo. Then I go either crown if I really need it, infinity orb if I'm snowballing to pretty much "guarantee" the kills and do a lot more damage overall, or horizon focus since it deals %bonus damage which is huge. Then, Rabadon as 3rd into full adapt. I feel like Archangel Staff & gathering storm are bad. They force you into a playstyle where you will scale, but at the expense of early game, which you sacrifice but without that, you won't have a solid lategame anyways. Going full early game (elec + scorch + cheap shot) pretty much wins me most lanes. Assassins will struggle because they need setup. A lot of them need their level 5 to properly all in, and you can punish them for last hitting with easy elec procs which will make it difficult for them to actually all in.
@zeonbell1208 defo give that a try. I normally find elec falls off late game but if u can snowball hard enough then it doesn't matter. Against tanks I'm guessing you swap out an item for lliandry, and do u swap out mana band for giant slayer if u play against tanks or just rely on items?
@@stefanulbing2048 life without manaflow is hard, to be fair. It can be ok if you go for Crown after Luden, but you can still run out of mana. You could try going for a Lost Chapter (component of crown, luden, archangel staff, etc) after your luden, that you'd use to complete a crown. I've never tried that but that might be worth a try. Without manaflow, you'll feel the lack of mana even more during the early game but you can just take prio & back, I feel like. Yeah if you snowball with this, you'll still oneshot squishies late game even if electrocute falls off. I haven't tried, but a more poke oriented build with comet could work. You just spam Q + W on the enemy on cd and you'll rapidly stack comet. It can be good if you're in a matchup where short trades aren't to your advantage, but I feel like electrocute can still give too much of an edge not to abuse early game.
