The guy with the dreads brings the excitement out of the drums he would be great for a band and the guy with the red shirts is to smooth with if I can tell he could play any type of music you give him no problem.
My friends and I used to do the same thing in College. With about 1/10th the amount of notes. Tons of fun tho. And that grey DW kit my man in the black shirt is playing is freaking beautiful.

When i got out in 2018, after 8 years it seemed like the whole style of drumming had changed and i was blown away by this change.

Anton Daceyah I'm using a Tascam DR-40 linear recorder mounted on top of my camera. It's a great piece of gear, but it's a little heavy and it eats batteries, but at least it sounds great!

I love Sony, but I felt like they could've put more into the audio, especially since they give Zoom's Q8 a run for it with the Sony HDR-MV1. Anyway, since you mention that Sony has a version of the DR-40. I'll look it up and compare. I definitely appreciate the advice. For sure. Oh, one more thing, did you have the mics in A-B or X-Y position? Lol. I love this particular sound. I know room dynamics will matter, but I've no problem using a template. Lol.

I hear you on sony, they had some really nice recorders on display at NAMM so I would imagine that they have released them by now, gotta look up the model numbers. I feel like even my Zoom Q2n has really nice sounding mics, I used it for my Luke Holland drum cam if you want to hear that. The mics were in an XY configuration. The nice thing about the Tascam is that the mic capsules have a hinge so they can swing out into AB if you want to change it on the fly.
