if you dont mind story spoilers.... its actually part of the story end game, Ratha (your Rathalos monstie) gets blighted while getting ready to fight off the main boss. you have to fight him a bit with another monstie until the cut scene triggers and you win him back with love and kinship. not 100% sure if you can change him to that colour based off elements alone.... but this guy hacked the game for all monsties, as Blighted Ratha is most likely still written as code to be a rideable monstie, but you can only encounter him in a small fight at the end game. Unless i'm wrong that is...
Syco Cut well first things first you must be at the snow point Over there you need to use other monster genes and put it in rathalos It’s pretty easy really you just gotta finish the game There are loads of tutorials helping you with monster genes

Some of the animations also look weird. For example I don´t like the way seregios runs, it just does´t fit his moveset at all. He should have this four-legged crawling thing of Nargacuga rather tha just lifting his wings and running...
Darthplagueis13 Depending on what element you change your monster too, their colour change accordingly. This guy simply went for Fire on almost everything thus their reddish parts
from dlc Kirin gets to finish the game and Kurenai Goukami is recommended to go in level 60. oroshi kirin is achieved by installing the submission dlc although the stats are very similar to those of a normal kirin and Kurenai Goukami is unlocked with a platinum level tournament to get them enter dlc in the game menu or use the conection cat (I do not know the name well because I am Spanish) you need internet and a bit of free space in the sd to get it you need a good team (minimum level 60 so they do not destroy you) go to the place that you saved when fighting with the infected diabloss in the desert (I do not know the names in English) and you will find 3 maids exploring through the town enter the auxiliary without connection go to missions without connection and look for the dlc of puzzle Dragons difficulty platinum and fight against some guys and if you win you will get your egg the kirin is obtained unloaded the dlc (same as that of Kurenai Goukami) and look for it in submissions you must have completed the game before for get It Well I hope I have helped you and I hope you have understood because I am Spanish and I am using a translator
My Tigrex is fire as well, because that's the only element I could make mine have at that point. I didn't have enough Khezu's for it to be lighting element but I like the fire look so I don't mind

Go after the story at the place where is the sleeping pink rathian but you have to use the charm that make you find rare nests(I got 5 kirins eggs in half an hour with this method)
