One of the most, nay, THE MOST interesting designs. I read that some NATO tanks and tankers came to Sweden to test and compare maneuvers with other typical design Western tanks and were shocked by how good this tank was. There was nothing it couldn't do!
This thing would have been a defensive beast to deal with. That slope on the armour while hull down would hardly have been visible to enemy gunners. And offensively if used to cover turreted tanks it would have been similar to a sniper in the infantry
This is really an interesting Tank Design! Seems in a lot of thing superior! Especially the Form! You can use thick armor theoretically and have a nearly undestroyable tank!
Who wants to be that if the US went with the mbt-70 , messing with the suspension height would be the drivers favorite thing to do the annoyance of the crew

Так у него электропривод. При таких скоростях нагрузка на генераторе мизерная. Работает на минималках.
does the gas turbine still work? i love the sound of the diesel engine and the gas turbine working together.
Yes it does! Just the diesel for this display though.
What's a gas turbine? Idk how tanks work lol
@@benjaminingenito530 This is a gas turbine out of the m1 Abrams th-cam.com/video/HwcnoMbV7jM/w-d-xo.html there also know as turbo shafts there more or less a jet engine but instead of powering a massive fan to push a plane through the sky they have a shaft to power things like tanks, boats, generators and helicopters. the Strv 103 uses a combo of a standard diesel engine and a gas turbine when standing still or at low speeds it uses only the diesel but a high speeds the gas turbine kicks in for more power th-cam.com/video/aAZLarnkNuE/w-d-xo.html
When it come to standard Diesel vs a gas turbine the Diesel has alright power a hell of a lot of torque and is fuel efficient. on the other hand a gas turbines have a monstrous amount of power have good amount of torque and can be fairly small but they eat fuel even the most efficient Gas turbines eat fuel at a very high rate and there loud as hell even at idle.
Here's a good video that explains how a gas turbine works th-cam.com/video/GF-70yncAVY/w-d-xo.html
Turbocharged diesel engines are the most efficient in the world, for every 14psi of turbo boost, it doubles horsepower and torque as long as the engine is structurally sound. So if you want more power put a bigger turbo on the engine simple math.
@@jameslacey858 while true a Diesel will never be able to meat the insane power of a gas turbine reliably. i seen drag Diesels that can make power like a gas turbine but they need to be rebuilt after every event.
My favorite Tank since I was a kid! I had the Aurora model kit back in the early 70's!!
I wish I had Hydro-Pneumatic Suspension.....Oh well maybe someday a guy can dream.
Cheers for sharing!
Maybe this will make you feel better😁 th-cam.com/video/WeKw6c9aTJ0/w-d-xo.html
All my Friends Know the low rider.
Dear Santa...I wish two things to next christmas: a Strv 103 tank and Sofilein as co-commander.
Hell with the tank , little Sofia and a Beach. Much nicer, cleaner and sweeter. God bless motocross and riders who ride.

@@anthonyesposito2745 Only a beach? With a Strv 103 tank I and Sofilein can invade and capture a small tropical nation with miles of white beach and blue sea water.
Yes I ride KTM 500cc dirtbike, god bless you.
@@dirtbikerswe1979 and the Strv 103 comes with it's own Gustavian style bathing suit, complete with a modest skirt and everything!
Man, World of Tanks graphics are getting insane. Kudos to the team.
Of all the tanks I would buy if I could get my hands on them, this would be one of the first.
Chieftain, and now Sofi. It's up to Me now, to get a perfect video of the Strv 103.
Never thought watching a tank would make me sleepy 🥱
У меня одного такая мысль промелькнула: "Передом повернется - не пробью..(" ??
не-а, не пробъешь.
У него вообще похоже не крутится кроме гусенец

Respectful tank of all tanks, why? Because he knows how to bow
*Rare footage of a tank stretching it's tracks after a long nights rest*
Here we see a magnificent creature who has woken up
Arsenalen isn't so far away from me, so I've been lucky enough to see some stuff they have
As soon as it emerged from the garage door it was an “instant like the video “

The extreme angles on this tank are crazy, cant wait to see them put to work in War Thunder!
the lilSoviet- me too))
Yeah, dev stream shows that it’s armor is shit rn against heat and heatfs, the only shells it’ll face at 7.3
In wot we have had it for like 2 years
@@Hraesvelgre yeah, but the gameplay, mechanics and BR (Battle Rating) balance are different
If only all tanks could twerk
that is actually pretty damn impressive.
It's a really cool design! This is a basic video, just to show one thing, but a lot of different aspects made this tank pretty advanced back in the day.
It's a transformer doing push-ups
Девочки на технологии: Блин я пересолила, оооо почему так скучно
Мальчики: Иван Петрович я доделал танк
Так оно и получается пока у технолога похмелье😂😂😂
Das perfekte Sturmgeschütz!✊️👍🙏
I think they way this works is all the guys keep moving from the front of the tank to the back of the tank to keep rocking it like that 😂
:))))
see säw
Конструктору определённо пришла эта идея в голову когда он сидел в кресле качалке
Ну эта способность как раз и нужна для вертикальной наводки.
Явно не тебе..
В отличие тебя кто-то что-то придумал... а не тупой комент)
Honestly blown away. I did not expect to see this!
The only tank in the world that can bend over and moon the enemy
Who wants to be that if the US went with the mbt-70 , messing with the suspension height would be the drivers favorite thing to do the annoyance of the crew
The MBT-70 would be dead before he even saw this tank. It's an ambush tank, remember.
Revolutionary! The armored community has their first low rider! ¡Órale, vato!
The sound it makes when it is turning does hurt me :(

Take a seat and a number ticket son, you'll be in that line almost as long as a Soviet worker waiting for his monthly bread ration...
;)
as far as I can tell they aren't selling it :(
cant go selling top sekrit tenks like that
There are just a few of them left in sweden. They were decomissioned in the 90’s and if you ran a legit tank museum back then, you could have one for free.
I believe the one in the video is at ”Arsenalen” tank museum in Strängnäs, sweden -in running condition. Another one is displayed outside the ”Armemuseum” (swedish army museum) in central Stockholm, stationery, locked, but fully availible to poke and feel.
Look at that engineering. Sweden seems to have done a good job.
I think this glitch already got patched in the latest update
From the front, among S tanks, depressing the suspension is like a "play bow" in dogs. An invitation to go scamper through the fields and play fight.
The ol' Stridsvagn...taking the hull down position to a whole new level for over 30 years.
I find it funny that this is literally just how it aims up and down because the gun physically cant move
