For instance, 30 dollars with no regional prices translates to 165 BRL, the minimum salary here is about is 1650 BRL, so ONE SINGLE GAME costs 10% of a minimum salary, and thats not even a triple A game. Thats ridiculous. Its the equivalent of the game costing 120 dollars in the USA (10% of your guys minimum wage) so regional prices MUST exist, otherwise there will be no player base outside of europe and usa
They are able to queue into the wrong lobby? Never seen that before. The normal cheating I've seen in this game is queue sniping your buddies to play with more players than you should have.
if it wasnt for being in under 25 gearscore lobbies i wouldnt be convinced here technically if you make a new character and give them gear over the shared stash you could do that but you would def be put in the 25+ lobbies

@SolomonDandD I've also seen this once and everyone tried to tell me I'm an idiot and there's 2 ques and I tried explaining that I know I've got over 1k hours and I always read the patch notes and I jumped into a game immediately after I died so all poor gear and ran into a dude with almost full purple. Might not be a cheater though I've been lucky enough to find at least 1 or 2 purples in a single game as well as plenty of blues
@@hazmat6115 yeah it is. You can check it by yourself if you open the resource manager and view all disk activities there. Most of the anti cheats ( not all of them ) do really try to find cheats on your PC so they will just scan it while you're playing the game
It is true and not normal at all, this AC is really shitty and should 100% never be installed. They should just have server-side AC, but they won't because this is easier.
I feel like they should add a single player arena mode where you don't keep your loot but you can try out all classes and switch at any time within the game mode so that if they find a class they like then they can swap to that class in the actual game.

what about reviews saying that this game is a spyware&bloatware? That tavern.exe and tavernworker.exe are causing this problem. Anti cheat reads all of your files on the hard drive and also loading it up to 100% ,so as they say, it kills your drive. Is it all true? Didn't check for myself yet but still wanted to find answers or discussion about it. Some detailed answers or explanations would be much appreciated

Bravo! I will fully agree. They give you to explore the content on 95% with free to play version. So there is no reason to blame devs for asking a certain amount for their product. If you like the game you buy it if you don't then gg for you
As a f2p player, I'm happy with the new update and what I get for free. This game has a lot of potential as long as they keep adding content and the only thing I can really see changing that is making it fully f2p. I'd rather have to pay and have less of a chance of hackers than play free and get hackers every match. Also 11:10 maybe I'm just a bit older but I think the graphics are great, sure its not photo realistic but it still looks good. Ppl are too use to AAA graphics. I'd rather have a fun game with interesting mechanics and Xbox 360 graphics than one that looks pretty and ends up being boring
i dont understand the point of this game i played as barb. i killed some skeletons then died to some skeleton mini boss, then i played goblin map and instantly got killed by some shield guy. i played with skeletons and died to some flying bugs. i have never seen any alive players and people i spectated were just standing still
Game is pretty boring NGL I am still trying to learn it and see if it interesting after like 50 hours of grinding pve but from what I have seen PvP it's a rock paper scissors and most focused on stat checking so..yeah
I played 60 hrs before i decided to instead of buying a new mouse ill buy the game, i can live with a buggy scroll wheel played 30 more hrs and now my monitor broke and i cant even play at all anymore atm since broke. Still dont regret paying for a game a genuinly enjoy and support the devs.
They need to make it clear that this game is a paid game that they’re letting you play for free. It’s not a free to play game. It’s a paid game and you are able to play it for free so be happy that you can. At the same time it isn’t a demo because as you said, you can play most of the game without paying.
Only thing i wished about the F2P part is more then one character slot. ALready went Legendary but i wish i had a way to try out other classes without having to delete my only character.
yep. been playing OCE servers since playtests and bought the game as soon as I could. for most of the games paid lifespan OCE servers have been 95% chinese players and roughly 50% of them were cheating/teaming. people claiming that China isnt a problem are oblivious and have likely only come in with the f2p wave. Also many of the f2p players dont understand that this IS a paid game, you are only getting some of it so the actual people that bought the game dont have to rebuy on steam.
The only problem have with this game as f2p player, is druids.. I have no idea how they made it past testing. Every class makes sense, the warlocks are a bit broken, but every other class is really good at one thing, and very bad at another.. rogues are fast, but are squishy, barbarians are strong but can be kited, so on and so forth.. Druid can do everything, better than any class, AND it has TWO get out of jail free cards. You get hit, you turn into a ghost and can phase through players. Than before you even come out of phase, you can turn your hit box into 1% of what it normally is, and run away. THAN, you can fully heal quickly, THAN you can root a player, THAN you can turn into a bear or a panther and gg better luck next time kid.

All online games should region lock China. It should be standard procedure. Nobody wants to play with the Chinese. In some cases, even the Chinese dont want to play with the Chinese. I believe it was Ark, i could be wrong, but they attempted to institute a region lock and their Eastern sales tanked out because the Chinese were no longer interested in buying the game if they couldnt cheat against NA and EU. If you ask them, its such an alien idea that we DONT cheat, by not cheating we clearly arent playing to win in their eyes.
Hello Solomon, I liked the video, and every point you commented on. I'm from Brazil and the value of $30, which would be approximately 160R$, is in fact very expensive for the standard here, as this value is 1/10 of the average salary, this may put off those who are more casual, but I believe that The game is worth it for those who like the style of the game. And since I bought the game, I hope it lasts a long time.
I can understand m8 that it can be frustrating to spend 30USD on game as in comparison with local salary rate it is quite big amount. But if you look on standard prices for fully released games now which is minimum 55USD the D&D price is absolutely fair. But I understand your frustration
If they can get the anticheat down then they absolutely should do regional pricing. Until then though, it's not viable right now. The game was already coming close to succumbing to Chinese hackers before they released on Steam.
Your currency’s poor exchange rate to a global standard is NOT the dev’s problem. They have expenses in their country, they can’t sell the game for pennies so a guy in Nigeria can afford it. While I’m sorry for that reality for them, that’s a Brazil problem, not a game problem. Complaining at the devs who have employees and debts to pay is naive and childish. People don’t have a right to other people’s work, especially when it’s demanded at a discount. If someone can’t afford something, they should work harder to get it or forget about it. Not ask for handouts. That’s essentially what many of these negative reviewers are doing.
Brazil and Philippines are the two countires that regional pricing makes sense in. My Brazilian friends are pirates, and I honestly applaud them for doing so. I absolutely would not spend 1/10th of my salary on a game that I don't know is good or not.

Unlike DnD , dungeonborn had an artist that can and has made unique assets for the game , whete as DnD is limited to whats on the unreal store. Competition is a good thing, calling every dungeon crawler a ripoff is noy good for anyone. Also dungeonborn just redid all the mob animations and added a few neat things that dnd cannot do...because they lack a someone who can create assets from the ground up. Its ok to like both games . To call dungeonborn a cheap ripoff isnjust pathetic, its a solid competitor. Lag spikes during a closed beta? I'm getting lag spikes in DnD right now, does that make it trash?
I'm glad we get as much content as we do as free players. It took me a couple hours just to figure out the mechanics. If the game was on a time limit or severely restricted, I might not have learned enough about the game to become interested. I'd definitely pay the 30 dollars, but I'm still enjoying the free play experience. Having the single class doesn't really bother me yet because I'm actually taking the time to explore the class and figure out how to use it.
I am cool with the current free to play model. I want people to be able to get into the game. I do wish there was a better way to let them try different classes but it works. If they go TOTAL free to play, I’m gonna dispute the charge on my credit card.
Id like to start and say that Im new to DnD, like most players. Hadn't heard of it at ALL before i randomly saw it on steam. Saw the mixed reviews and expected trash, but i gave it a try. I went in expecting absoloute dog water, and I got..... an actually good, if flawed game. AT RELEASE on steam the F2P model was a bit limiting if you were expecting a F2P game not a demo. At RELEASE on steam it was essentially just a demo imo, but I was fine with that. It reminded me of Guild Wars 2's "F2P" model, which was and is a great way to try the game without buying it. Unlike half of these reviews i did my homework and looked at the difference between a paid player and F2P. And found it wasnt P2W, that I wasnt missing too too much content for it being a demo "try it out" version of the game. Then they changed the gear score and merchants, so we can trade with other players and bring better gear into normal dungeons. And now? Now for me it rivals Warframe in terms of quality of content for a F2P game. It went from a good F2P Demo at release (on steam) to a good F2P game. Personally I have little to zero issue with how the F2P and paid versions work, and the skins are minimally "P2W", the ability to temporarily try other classes but not keep the gear or something would be nice. However..... why are games made? Yes for people to enjoy, but they also have to make money. And from a casual's perspective there becomes little to no reason to buy the game if I have more than one class slot with the F2P model version of the game. What I love about this game, is that it gives me some of the same feelings as Tarkov. The same dread but also excitement when you hear a shuffle in the room next to you, is it a player? Is it a skeleton? Do you have time to loot? That same extraction loot gameplay loop with high risk and reward. Except one crucial thing, it isn't Tarkov, its casual Tarkov mixed with DnD. There aren't P2W versions of the game that become mandatory if you play the game enough, the game actually has saftey nets (IE base gear from squire) so you cant dig yourself into a permanent hole for the wipe. Raids are shorter so you dont have to dedicate your evening to 2-3 raids, theres so many reasons that I prefer this over Tarkov. FFs some of my friends that mostly play RHYTHEM GAMES are playing it! Why? because it has the good side of tarkov, and doesnt have the toxic, overly obtuse/difficult mechanics for the sake of it. Like ffs look at how the two different dev team's handle criticism about dumb quests/dumb mechanics or things. Ironmace changed things like the gear score that reviews were complaining about in under a week to an incredibly forgiving version. Battlestate? They litteraly make memes about painfull quests/bullshit mechanics and then dont fix them or change them. They insult and attack they're player base and have had a horrible track record. In summary: IS DnD a perfect game? Hell no. The class balance is all over the place, combat is a *bit* janky, it feels like a early access game, but a good one. Does it learn from Tarkov and succeed where it fails in terms of newer/more casual players and not being horrible devs? YES. It's a very good, if flawed game. Great bones with seemingly decent devs and enough content for us new people to play for a while, while the dev's continue working on making the game better.

The game was actually amazing when it was a play test now it's awful. Bad balancing and tuning. Horrible non existent match making. I think the player numbers reflect this. Hope this game gets better or dies soon.
Honestly, for F2P, increase the character slots to 4, and do everything else the same. No selling on the market, no shared stash, no HR. Let people try out a few more classes without having to delete the one they've played the longest. God, Dungeonborne was so trash. I hope they put some effort into making it better, because this is a very fun subgenre and should have more good examples.
Honestly I love the game, my only issue is that I WANT to support the game but genuinely I’m worried about ruining my own enjoyment and fun of the game once I pay for it since it is pay to win. Whenever I see someone with a different skin I don’t think they’re better I just think they have $ and it ruins some of the charm considering people get stronger by looting and this is just a buff from paying $, I hope they just release the skins with ways of unlocking them for free then just releasing cosmetics that don’t alter the game. I understand it’s the “full game” but yeah I can’t help but think I’m just paying to have an advantage.
Don't f2ps still get bluestone shards for extracting? That's how most people pay for skins. Also as I said in the video - all skins also have downsides, and by far the most useful skin nightmare skeleton is locked by reaching a certain rank each season.
Just so you know, the game is much closer to pay to lose. I bought a bunch of skins because they look cool, but I frequently go back to the default human skin when I actually want to win because the other downsides become very noticeable. Many of the best bonuses come at the price of not having a helmet which is a massive disadvantage. The devs have been pretty clear that they do not want any pay to win in the game and I think they've stayed very true to that.
@@fahlgorithm you might be right, as of rn I still haven’t paid yet but that’s basically my only concern, I rather pay for cosmetics and have the game available than unlock stuff that would make the game easier by paying irl $, ik recently the allowed f2p to buy stuff off other players but still aren’t allowed to sell stuff, I understand they need to make $ but I think unlocking everything and just having cosemetics and emotes be their source of income would be better and would at least have players like me not feel weird paying for advantages (even if they come with downsides)
@@Unh1n93d I get that and honestly have a lot of the same feelings. When they first added paid skins with stats I think a lot of people were concerned. I also think it's important to understand though that they want this to be a dungeon crawler very true to the classic dungeons & dragons experience. It feels a little bit cheap and lame to have different races that affect gameplay in no way whatsoever considering races are a big part of dungeons & dragons. Luckily you can unlock most of the races without spending money which I think should be the norm. At the same time they do need to have some revenue streams and skins which change your appearance completely still need to fit into their vision. I think they've struck a pretty nice balance between these by having certain cosmetic overrides of the different races be paid only while allowing people to buy a basic version of the race using in-game currency.

As I said in the video. 1. Refunds are for products that you can't try before you buy. You can try 90% of the experience of D&D before you buy it. 2. Regional pricing is not a default on Steam, just because it's on Steam doesn't mean it's regionally priced. And as I said in the video, regional pricing is a great way to kill this game due to lowering the cost of doing business for Chinese gold-farming real world trading operations.

First of all, the practice of how it was labeled WAS entirely shady as it truly wasn't clear how much we weren't given access too. NOT having regional pricing doesn't make cheating harder, in fact it only hurts the people trying to support the game that cant in country's where their income is lower. For your Runescape example, both games include content for ftp but you are not restricted from EARNING the Membership in Runescape through grinding and FTP means. The inability to bring the gear in was making the game worthless to play, as in no reason to extract. The extraction shooters (that are also FTP) Arena breakout and Lost light FIX these issues. With Dark and Darker I reached level 35 in the first 2 days of playing FTP and i feel most could reach lvl 20 in the first 8 hrs. The game was too limited and there was no point to gaining any loot considering normal's was all we COULD go into. Im currently level 49 and the game is tons better after the few updates the devs have made. I'll admit some of the reviews are a exaggerating ALOT, but dismissing the criticism the devs clearly agree with and are listening to is a terrible way to go about this. The people with incredibly low hours aren't just "Chinese cheaters" but instead most likely people from epic games where the game has no where to post and see reviews. (was also released before the steam listing) Kinda insensitive to specify Chinese hackers instead of just hackers. most of your comments about issues such as the wait time is "Probably another cheater trying to gold farm" Instead of addressing what they're saying. 72hr wait wont stop cheaters in anyway, that makes no sense. "You got the product for completely free" is not an excuse for it to be flawed, we can still point out things we find are issues and things we don't like. things you should take from this is to stop blaming everything on the Chinese, and the developers aren't always right.

I’m typing a lot because I’m bored. But people did know about the normal only none of them believed payed could bring legendary in there. They were mad because there was no point in getting anything in the dungeon because there was no use they don’t care if they fight a full legendary geared person they just want to use the loot they worked for.

Bought the game after 1 day of free play so I could try different classes.

Bravo! I will fully agree. They give you to explore the content on 95% with free to play version. So there is no reason to blame devs for asking a certain amount for their product. If you like the game you buy it if you don't then gg for you
I'd like the option to buy individual character slots, I can't see any downsides to this, they can maybe even make more money from it.

Tarkov has very little anticheat as well though whereas Dark and darker was designed from the ground up to be defensible against cheaters.

As a f2p player, I'm happy with the new update and what I get for free. This game has a lot of potential as long as they keep adding content and the only thing I can really see changing that is making it fully f2p. I'd rather have to pay and have less of a chance of hackers than play free and get hackers every match. Also 11:10 maybe I'm just a bit older but I think the graphics are great, sure its not photo realistic but it still looks good. Ppl are too use to AAA graphics. I'd rather have a fun game with interesting mechanics and Xbox 360 graphics than one that looks pretty and ends up being boring
i dont understand the point of this game i played as barb. i killed some skeletons then died to some skeleton mini boss, then i played goblin map and instantly got killed by some shield guy. i played with skeletons and died to some flying bugs. i have never seen any alive players and people i spectated were just standing still
i died alot in beginning too, youll get used to combat, alot of swing and dodge or block and swing, it gets good
Game is pretty boring NGL I am still trying to learn it and see if it interesting after like 50 hours of grinding pve but from what I have seen PvP it's a rock paper scissors and most focused on stat checking so..yeah
I played 60 hrs before i decided to instead of buying a new mouse ill buy the game, i can live with a buggy scroll wheel played 30 more hrs and now my monitor broke and i cant even play at all anymore atm since broke. Still dont regret paying for a game a genuinly enjoy and support the devs.
They need to make it clear that this game is a paid game that they’re letting you play for free. It’s not a free to play game. It’s a paid game and you are able to play it for free so be happy that you can. At the same time it isn’t a demo because as you said, you can play most of the game without paying.
Only thing i wished about the F2P part is more then one character slot. ALready went Legendary but i wish i had a way to try out other classes without having to delete my only character.

yep. been playing OCE servers since playtests and bought the game as soon as I could. for most of the games paid lifespan OCE servers have been 95% chinese players and roughly 50% of them were cheating/teaming. people claiming that China isnt a problem are oblivious and have likely only come in with the f2p wave.
Also many of the f2p players dont understand that this IS a paid game, you are only getting some of it so the actual people that bought the game dont have to rebuy on steam.

The only problem have with this game as f2p player, is druids.. I have no idea how they made it past testing. Every class makes sense, the warlocks are a bit broken, but every other class is really good at one thing, and very bad at another.. rogues are fast, but are squishy, barbarians are strong but can be kited, so on and so forth.. Druid can do everything, better than any class, AND it has TWO get out of jail free cards. You get hit, you turn into a ghost and can phase through players. Than before you even come out of phase, you can turn your hit box into 1% of what it normally is, and run away. THAN, you can fully heal quickly, THAN you can root a player, THAN you can turn into a bear or a panther and gg better luck next time kid.
Druids are disgustingly OP
regional pricing makes the game more affordable according to the economic conditions of each country plus it makes the game more inclusive. You dont know enough on this topic to make a video out of it
That's literally the point I'm making. I don't want inclusive because inclusive includes hackers working for $2.50/hr because $2.50/hr is a lot of money in their country. They need to make back their money on each game copy or they will go to another game to farm gold. Let's push them to a different game.

a lot of cheaters you can't exactly see, its pretty common for them to just run at players through walls at game start to stomp pvp
... i cant buy shards in game. i live in Europe but i made my steam account in Canada. when i go to buys shards nothing happens and i cant upgrade my free to play account. the free to play version is very limiting in what one can access and if i cant get this resolved i will quit and leave a bad review.

All online games should region lock China. It should be standard procedure. Nobody wants to play with the Chinese. In some cases, even the Chinese dont want to play with the Chinese. I believe it was Ark, i could be wrong, but they attempted to institute a region lock and their Eastern sales tanked out because the Chinese were no longer interested in buying the game if they couldnt cheat against NA and EU. If you ask them, its such an alien idea that we DONT cheat, by not cheating we clearly arent playing to win in their eyes.

Hello Solomon, I liked the video, and every point you commented on. I'm from Brazil and the value of $30, which would be approximately 160R$, is in fact very expensive for the standard here, as this value is 1/10 of the average salary, this may put off those who are more casual, but I believe that The game is worth it for those who like the style of the game. And since I bought the game, I hope it lasts a long time.
I can understand m8 that it can be frustrating to spend 30USD on game as in comparison with local salary rate it is quite big amount. But if you look on standard prices for fully released games now which is minimum 55USD the D&D price is absolutely fair. But I understand your frustration
If they can get the anticheat down then they absolutely should do regional pricing. Until then though, it's not viable right now. The game was already coming close to succumbing to Chinese hackers before they released on Steam.
Your currency’s poor exchange rate to a global standard is NOT the dev’s problem. They have expenses in their country, they can’t sell the game for pennies so a guy in Nigeria can afford it.
While I’m sorry for that reality for them, that’s a Brazil problem, not a game problem. Complaining at the devs who have employees and debts to pay is naive and childish. People don’t have a right to other people’s work, especially when it’s demanded at a discount. If someone can’t afford something, they should work harder to get it or forget about it. Not ask for handouts. That’s essentially what many of these negative reviewers are doing.
Brazil and Philippines are the two countires that regional pricing makes sense in. My Brazilian friends are pirates, and I honestly applaud them for doing so. I absolutely would not spend 1/10th of my salary on a game that I don't know is good or not.

Unlike DnD , dungeonborn had an artist that can and has made unique assets for the game , whete as DnD is limited to whats on the unreal store.
Competition is a good thing, calling every dungeon crawler a ripoff is noy good for anyone.
Also dungeonborn just redid all the mob animations and added a few neat things that dnd cannot do...because they lack a someone who can create assets from the ground up.
Its ok to like both games . To call dungeonborn a cheap ripoff isnjust pathetic, its a solid competitor.

I'm glad we get as much content as we do as free players. It took me a couple hours just to figure out the mechanics. If the game was on a time limit or severely restricted, I might not have learned enough about the game to become interested.
I'd definitely pay the 30 dollars, but I'm still enjoying the free play experience. Having the single class doesn't really bother me yet because I'm actually taking the time to explore the class and figure out how to use it.
I am cool with the current free to play model. I want people to be able to get into the game. I do wish there was a better way to let them try different classes but it works.

Id like to start and say that Im new to DnD, like most players. Hadn't heard of it at ALL before i randomly saw it on steam. Saw the mixed reviews and expected trash, but i gave it a try.
I went in expecting absoloute dog water, and I got..... an actually good, if flawed game. AT RELEASE on steam the F2P model was a bit limiting if you were expecting a F2P game not a demo.
At RELEASE on steam it was essentially just a demo imo, but I was fine with that. It reminded me of Guild Wars 2's "F2P" model, which was and is a great way to try the game without buying it.
Unlike half of these reviews i did my homework and looked at the difference between a paid player and F2P. And found it wasnt P2W, that I wasnt missing too too much content for it being a demo "try it out" version of the game. Then they changed the gear score and merchants, so we can trade with other players and bring better gear into normal dungeons. And now? Now for me it rivals Warframe in terms of quality of content for a F2P game. It went from a good F2P Demo at release (on steam) to a good F2P game.
Personally I have little to zero issue with how the F2P and paid versions work, and the skins are minimally "P2W", the ability to temporarily try other classes but not keep the gear or something would be nice. However..... why are games made? Yes for people to enjoy, but they also have to make money. And from a casual's perspective there becomes little to no reason to buy the game if I have more than one class slot with the F2P model version of the game.
What I love about this game, is that it gives me some of the same feelings as Tarkov. The same dread but also excitement when you hear a shuffle in the room next to you, is it a player? Is it a skeleton? Do you have time to loot? That same extraction loot gameplay loop with high risk and reward. Except one crucial thing, it isn't Tarkov, its casual Tarkov mixed with DnD.
There aren't P2W versions of the game that become mandatory if you play the game enough, the game actually has saftey nets (IE base gear from squire) so you cant dig yourself into a permanent hole for the wipe. Raids are shorter so you dont have to dedicate your evening to 2-3 raids, theres so many reasons that I prefer this over Tarkov. FFs some of my friends that mostly play RHYTHEM GAMES are playing it! Why? because it has the good side of tarkov, and doesnt have the toxic, overly obtuse/difficult mechanics for the sake of it.
Like ffs look at how the two different dev team's handle criticism about dumb quests/dumb mechanics or things. Ironmace changed things like the gear score that reviews were complaining about in under a week to an incredibly forgiving version.
Battlestate? They litteraly make memes about painfull quests/bullshit mechanics and then dont fix them or change them. They insult and attack they're player base and have had a horrible track record.
In summary: IS DnD a perfect game? Hell no. The class balance is all over the place, combat is a *bit* janky, it feels like a early access game, but a good one.
Does it learn from Tarkov and succeed where it fails in terms of newer/more casual players and not being horrible devs? YES.
It's a very good, if flawed game. Great bones with seemingly decent devs and enough content for us new people to play for a while, while the dev's continue working on making the game better.
Also about the hackers n stuff, personally I havent ran into anything. I do understand the concern however, having put my time into tarkov......
all you have to say is "its literally free, you can play the entire gameplay loop for 100% free, if you want to unlock community features and basically harder content, pay 30$. people are ignorant and im fine with it, these people on steam dont actually know anything theyre talking about.
I gladly paid almost a year ago, now I'm thinking about a micro transaction to support them further 🤔

I played the free version for a week before buying the game. As a fantasy nerd, this game is one of the best games I have ever played.

The game was actually amazing when it was a play test now it's awful. Bad balancing and tuning. Horrible non existent match making. I think the player numbers reflect this. Hope this game gets better or dies soon.

Honestly, for F2P, increase the character slots to 4, and do everything else the same. No selling on the market, no shared stash, no HR. Let people try out a few more classes without having to delete the one they've played the longest.
God, Dungeonborne was so trash. I hope they put some effort into making it better, because this is a very fun subgenre and should have more good examples.

Honestly I love the game, my only issue is that I WANT to support the game but genuinely I’m worried about ruining my own enjoyment and fun of the game once I pay for it since it is pay to win. Whenever I see someone with a different skin I don’t think they’re better I just think they have $ and it ruins some of the charm considering people get stronger by looting and this is just a buff from paying $, I hope they just release the skins with ways of unlocking them for free then just releasing cosmetics that don’t alter the game. I understand it’s the “full game” but yeah I can’t help but think I’m just paying to have an advantage.
Don't f2ps still get bluestone shards for extracting? That's how most people pay for skins. Also as I said in the video - all skins also have downsides, and by far the most useful skin nightmare skeleton is locked by reaching a certain rank each season.
Just so you know, the game is much closer to pay to lose. I bought a bunch of skins because they look cool, but I frequently go back to the default human skin when I actually want to win because the other downsides become very noticeable. Many of the best bonuses come at the price of not having a helmet which is a massive disadvantage. The devs have been pretty clear that they do not want any pay to win in the game and I think they've stayed very true to that.
@@fahlgorithm you might be right, as of rn I still haven’t paid yet but that’s basically my only concern, I rather pay for cosmetics and have the game available than unlock stuff that would make the game easier by paying irl $, ik recently the allowed f2p to buy stuff off other players but still aren’t allowed to sell stuff, I understand they need to make $ but I think unlocking everything and just having cosemetics and emotes be their source of income would be better and would at least have players like me not feel weird paying for advantages (even if they come with downsides)

@@Unh1n93d I get that and honestly have a lot of the same feelings. When they first added paid skins with stats I think a lot of people were concerned. I also think it's important to understand though that they want this to be a dungeon crawler very true to the classic dungeons & dragons experience.
It feels a little bit cheap and lame to have different races that affect gameplay in no way whatsoever considering races are a big part of dungeons & dragons. Luckily you can unlock most of the races without spending money which I think should be the norm. At the same time they do need to have some revenue streams and skins which change your appearance completely still need to fit into their vision. I think they've struck a pretty nice balance between these by having certain cosmetic overrides of the different races be paid only while allowing people to buy a basic version of the race using in-game currency.

I do like how DnD handle the game Right Now, I like DnD So much when they did the First Beta test or the first time they come to Steam before the Law Suit and everything. as a F2P play i like how i can test the game before i actually buy the game. but I will not agree with you about the Regional Pricing. As a player who in a country that 30$ is like 1 week worth of food to eat we should get a lower price than a more advance country with more income but i like the idea than this should be put on hold before IRONMACE can do something about the cheater. and for the Refund i dont think really necessary because you can try the game for FREE and enjoy like 80% the content.

As I said in the video. 1. Refunds are for products that you can't try before you buy. You can try 90% of the experience of D&D before you buy it. 2. Regional pricing is not a default on Steam, just because it's on Steam doesn't mean it's regionally priced. And as I said in the video, regional pricing is a great way to kill this game due to lowering the cost of doing business for Chinese gold-farming real world trading operations.

First of all, the practice of how it was labeled WAS entirely shady as it truly wasn't clear how much we weren't given access too.
NOT having regional pricing doesn't make cheating harder, in fact it only hurts the people trying to support the game that cant in country's where their income is lower.
For your Runescape example, both games include content for ftp but you are not restricted from EARNING the Membership in Runescape through grinding and FTP means. The inability to bring the gear in was making the game worthless to play, as in no reason to extract.
The extraction shooters (that are also FTP) Arena breakout and Lost light FIX these issues. With Dark and Darker I reached level 35 in the first 2 days of playing FTP and i feel most could reach lvl 20 in the first 8 hrs. The game was too limited and there was no point to gaining any loot considering normal's was all we COULD go into. Im currently level 49 and the game is tons better after the few updates the devs have made.
I'll admit some of the reviews are a exaggerating ALOT, but dismissing the criticism the devs clearly agree with and are listening to is a terrible way to go about this.
The people with incredibly low hours aren't just "Chinese cheaters" but instead most likely people from epic games where the game has no where to post and see reviews. (was also released before the steam listing) Kinda insensitive to specify Chinese hackers instead of just hackers.

But people did know about the normal only none of them believed payed could bring legendary in there. They were mad because there was no point in getting anything in the dungeon because there was no use they don’t care if they fight a full legendary geared person they just want to use the loot they worked for.
Also calling everyone a cheater, a game can be good and still have some cheaters anti cheat are a thing you know not just a 30$ pay wall that ain’t stoping nobody except people who want a fun free extraction experience.
Another player putting zero emphasis on actually dealing with cheaters. That's how this game ends up like The Cycle Frontier. These games get plagued by cheaters more-so than other games because of real world trading.
