great stuff - I'd love to be in the room while they're workin on stuff.... and , where is the rest of the kit..... gotta say , my all time face percussion was the 2 nd Santana band (woodstock era ). there's a 90 min Concert , good Utube - Santana / tanglewood.(boston ) 1970.

Joe was the best to ever pick up sticks.

Every strike counts with Joe. Every. Single. One. The dynamics rise and fall in a way that, in my opinion, is not matched by any drummer. Probably because Joe was a classically trained violinist before he switched to drums.

Not only that, just watch his left hand which was capable of a double roll and he played in different time signatures at once..... saw the Brubeck Quartet 3 times live and when Morello would solo, the others would just walk off stage....on another note, Mingus Drummer Dannie Richmond had an even smaller kit but made it sound fantastic....

Fantastic solo - definitely up there with the other great drummers of the time, Desmond Haynes, Art Blakey, Max Roach, Philly Joe Jones, etc.
