I mean, he's still involved in the process, just won't be appearing in the videos for 99% percent of the time, I'm happy he has the ability and liberty to choose to step down and at the same time give others the stage to share their love for games and theories, it's a vision he had been trying to achieve for a while
The books take place in an alternate continuity, but have seeds that can be used to fill in the blanks about aspects of the mainline games. Like Gregory being a hacker, possibly responsible for what happened in Security Breach, while not being a Robot, something MatPat pulled out of nowhere, lol.
Something to correct here, Tales was written during the development of Secuirty Breach. It can’t be a response to a theory if it was written during the game development and not released
@@TripleThreat145 The chapter about GGY was in the fifth Pizzaplex book 2 years later, long after the Gregory theories were being thrown around. Scott had minimal involvement with Security Breach, so his idea of what happened has many inconsistencies, which also contradicts the promotional material for the game.
@@willfanofmanyii3751 Tales began writing in 2019 according to a metadata file for an early copy for Lally’s Game. While it may have been released after SB, that doesn’t mean it was in development before then. Scott has said in the new interview that he had an intended story for SB but failed to convey that to SW. I don’t think it’s minimal involvement if you’re giving your team things to place in specific spots and specific actions that character’s do like what both Scott and SW have said already.
@@TripleThreat145 The first book beginning production 2 years before the game is released means nothing when the fifth book was released over two years later. Scott not telling Steel Wool anything and them having to handle the story themselves is the very definition of minimal involvement, it's the whole reason the original Prologue got rewritten.
22:50 Oh yeah so short version: The Books, Fazbears Fright especially, are highly debated in whether or not their in the same continuity of the games or at least a few certain ones that tie into a particular storyline, including ITP. Generally, most people say they aren’t due to many differences and contradictions (nothing against them but I very strongly hope their not for reasons), but especially with newer books seeming closer to being canon, it’s turned a few people around. Either way, people often use them to find “parallels” to game characters and events to inform a bit of what happened (one of them is straight up about a guard at Fazbears frights AKA FNAF 3 who’s dealing with Springtrap as well as his own trauma and abuse from his father; that’s pretty much Micheal). So with that logic, even if Oswald’s dad isn’t in the game continuity, someone very similar or maybe even just a game adjusted version of him is likely to exist. Ok so not that short but it’s a complicated topic, even for FNAF.😅
I’m also an advocator for Frights being canon (Stitchline to be more specific). There’s so much cool and awesome stuff in the books that it’d be a shame if it wasn’t game continuity canon. I think the existence of this game alone shows that Scott is trying to show that the books are canon but in a way that’s familiar with the community. Stuff like the Mimic in Ruin and Secret of the Mimic, a whole game based around him, is more evidence of it
@@TripleThreat145I totally get that; honestly my one primary issue is just Andrew. Especially with how Scott seems to care a lot about Cassidy and how they’re handled, I just don’t think Andrew logically makes sense in the games as he is without undermining their role or just being pointless. If they were to change things to make it game canon (I personally doubt cause it’d take a long time and I feel if Edwin isn’t just Henry he’ll just be a game version of Edwin, but I’m open to it), his story would need to change quite a bit imo.
@@thepixelman4776 I definitely get being hung up on Andrew because honestly he's always been my biggest gripe with stitchline. but the way I view it is if Andrew/Stitchline is supposed to be game canon then that would mean Cassidy was probably never meant to be TOYSNHK and her role is different then we think
Just so you know ever since the books started coming out back in 2015 I believe there have been ongoing debates on weather or not the books and games are in the same universe since some of the books contradict things seen in the games. Scott Cawthon the creator of fnaf has brought this up when the first book came out but like most things in this series he left his comment open to interpretation. Since the game Into the Pit is based on a book most people assume to take place in a separate universe but personally I would like it if the game was in the same universe as the other games. It might contradict some things but I love Into the Pit and the story and I think it makes sense for the game version to be in the same universe as the other games.
I would love to see you react to the Game Theory FNAF theories from the beginning. They are really great and I think it will help with your understanding of the finer details of the lore
Good Halloween morning Eralia, great to see you back with more of FNAF and the Lore of the game and it's history. I hope you are doing okay and wish you a nice day today and a wonderful Halloween take care and stay safe, Thank You my friend.🫡👻🇺🇲🎃
YOU SHOULD CHECK THIS OUT!! There is a narrative story game I think you would like, it’s called Lost Records:Bloom & Rage it’s coming out in two parts February 18th and March 18th.
So the parallel for Freddy bro thing is the fact the books are an alternative timeline. There are a lot of characters in the books that are parallels to characters in the games. They may not have the same names but generalized looks and similar backstorys may link them together and give clues as to things in the games and what they could mean. Not everything is 1:1. Some things even seem to contradict but the Scott has said both are canon within itself even if they do not cross over completely.
My suggestion if you haven't already, Listen to FuhNaff's cover of the Living Tombstone's 'Five Nights At Freddy's. He did it for the tenth anniversary and it is amazing as a breakdown of the past 10 years.
New subscriber here! I would like for you to add "Detroit Become Human" to your stack of games to play with reaction on TH-cam. It is another great story-based game. Good luck! 👍

It’s so weird not to hear MatPat voicing the theory. I’m still sad he decided to hang it up. I’ll miss him doing FNAF theories.
