May be so, although he did have a starring role in the TV sitcom News Radio and won sn Emmy for his SNL work. Agreed though, one of the most talented, versatile and nicest celebrities ever; gone too soon 😢
@@abdelrahmanelsheikh5798 Granted; perhaps underappreciated is the operative word
@@John_McDonnell A lot of it has to do with his falling out with Paul Reubens after Hartman tried to talk to him out of just playing Peewee Herman. Who knows where their careers could have led them had Reubens listened to Phil?
Man I miss Phil Hartman! Comedic genius!
Phil Hartman and Jan Hooks were, IMO, the best male/female sketch team in SNL history.
Likely helped by this being a particularly strong era for the SNL writing staff.
This cast was ridiculously talented!
Outside of the original Saturday Night Live cast this is the greatest cast.
"Yes! You are correct, Sir!"
Hilarious sketch, and I wish it didn't very accurately reflect reality. The best part was Jon Lovitz getting talked over and ignored as he made a plea for decent men. Second best was a book called "Women Good, Men Bad", aka the anthem of the 21st century.
I love both Phil’s and lot. Wonderful skit.
Was in the audience for this show. Great show and cast. RIP Phil
And Jan. They were all so friendly talking in the elevator area after show.
What a cool experience and memory 😀!
2:36 and 2:49 is a one-two punch of comedic brilliance from two masters.
