Fr I miss the freedom of being able to use teams with any character that was good, now if I want to make a team with demiurge I can't run him with Arthur or gowther I need to use demons, it means that if I miss pity on one meta character for a team I could potentially be locked out of an entire team until that character gets replaced, e.g. I never got gelda so my demiurge is run with dk and dk meli, still a fun team but nowhere near as good as gelda

when we ranked the characters we were going based on their impact on release more so than their longevity. Also we only had this idea because of how strong demiurge was lmao

As a Global-Only player, I do remember Blue Demon Meli being a major part of the meta. I recall that he was part of the weird rock/paper/scissors that emerged between the Pierce Team, Mono-Red, and another team that countered mono-red. His team lasted until Lostvayne and Goddess Liz released on Global, and was revived a bit when Rugal released
Though, I think DK Meli and/or Gelda should be on this list above King or Blue Demon Meli.

Green gowther was meta from october 2020 till the release of purgatory meli and the demon team in december 2022.

Then gliz was replace with marg, then literally every new strong character used ggowther. All of these teams cooked Ban as long as you out cced and killed turn 1
Purgatory Ban was dominant but had few hard counter, it's especially his 6/6 that was Dominant, but was fun.
Demiurge....is totaly an error...you can't even target him for shutting him Down...just imagine if back then Cusak couldn't target Ban...Demiurge cancer unit...
Imo ban has every right to be no1 cos he was the first true step up between good dps and GOD TIER dps. The gap in power was so exponential at the time. Every festival after that has slowly increased in power but ban’s was instant

Purgatory Ban legit made people quit grand cross, thats how absurd he was
purgatory ban for pvp #1, but this must be extended to his team. Although this can be applied to Gliz as well as she was shuffled around for some time, but ban felt far worse for me. Ban felt terrible to play against because of the prolonged period of meta relevance he obtained from a string of unit releases. Ban/Arthur/Twigo was the base, then you saw griamore, kyo, terry, rienhardt swapped in over time. His high defensive stats, for the time, and HP scaling meant he took little damage and had a high health pool, with a hp recovery blue card. I would want to go look at when the proliferation of infect AOE started, as he may have been the culprit to allow chipping. I just recall so many matches where it was a stall until he got a level 2 aoe and a level 1, wiping my teams. I stopped playing as the unit releases really started to slow down, Fest Dianne.
It amuses me to see Nag having the most objective takes on GS despite making the least amount of content for the game

get DK Zel in there. combines both criteria :
pure domination (was absolutely dog walking any other team with no competition)
longevity (was meta with gelda and meli until demiurge released, is still run instead of meli in some variation of demons)
Nanashi with the holy relic deserves to be at least on the honourable mentions if not in the top 10 for longevity reasons alone
