What's the big deal? ManUtd offered Pobga £420k/week after his disastrous stint. Pogba wanted to leave so badly that he declined the offer. And Mark, stop with this delusional fantasy about City getting relegated. Maybe WE, ManUtd, need to spend money wisely instead of wasting billions on the average, crap players we have in the past.

I don't like it, of course, but principle-wise, I do not see anything wrong with it. Every club wants their best player to stay, and if they could afford and willing to pay the amount of salary the player demanded, then why not? Many clubs would rejoice if Mohamad Salah left the EPL too, and I'd be a hypocrite if I agree with Mark on this.
I have more gripe about how the FA is handling the 115 charges than this childish whine about Haaland renewing his contract and on his way to smash every goal-related record of the EPL.

I think something to point out too is compare the Mbappe transfer to the Neymar one. There was almost a sense of pride with how expensive Neymar was, from Barca for making so much on him and from PSG for being able to afford him. Whereas with Mbappe I feel that Real didn't want to pay any sort of fee for him and instructed him to make the move once he was out of contract. I think it's not just a lack of ability to spend but actively avoiding it too.

Hot Take: the transfer window being “dull” is not a bad thing.
We always praise players for staying at clubs but now that the talent is spread out, players are staying longer, and clubs are being smarter we’re criticizing the state of the league?
The biggest problem is city’s 115, but without them this season would be very exciting in many ways. Add to that the rising gap between the PL and championship, and that’s why the league is seen as predictable
I don’t even have any qualms with real Madrid’s modern galácticos: that’s just a big team recruiting smartly.
I question how teams with rebuild quickly (I.e. Liverpool replacing their entire midfield in one summer) but if anything that just gives more chances to YA players.
    Just my opinion

Let‘s just hope City get charged and relegated next summer. Seeing their entire squad being split between all the top clubs would be very interesting to follow.

Luckily, those cheats will get thrown down to the National League (or hopefully liquidated), their titles will be stripped away and football will begin healing!
