  • @Kuddochan
    @Kuddochan 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +18

    The majority of all countries in the world use foreign managers, this is not something remotely unusual. Even amongst more established footballing nations it still happens, like Martinez coaching Portugal or Bielsa coaching Uruguay for example. Even the England women's team have a Dutch manager and no one had an issue with that.
    Also this narrative that Germany, Italy, or Spain wouldn't employ a foreign manager either, well that's obviously because they actually have a plethora of world class domestic managers to choose between so it's not an issue for them, not because the prospect of employing a foreigner is wrong by itself. England are not in that position. The only remotely qualified English manager for the job right now is probably Eddie Howe and he's already employed.
    If there really was a rule saying that coaches also had to be citizens of the country they're coaching in the same way that the players are, then sure. You could argue it'd be more authentic international football that way and I wouldn't be against that, but that is quite simply not the rule and it never has been. What's the point of spouting the idea that "the English manager is supposed to be an Englishman" when that is just factually wrong, that's just a norm you've made up for yourselves and not something that's ever been the standard for international football beyond that.
    It's an issue England have largely caused for themselves. First of all the Premier League has become more of an international league than any other league because it's the richest league, top class managers from all kinds of countries come to it for the fame and fortune. There are barely any English managers in the Prem, whereas the majority of the ones in the other top 5 leagues are from their respective countries. And the other big problem is the actual coaching licence in England costs a fortune compared to other countries which severely limits the amount of people that can even try to qualify to become coaches in the first place since it's so expensive.

    Couldn't care about what the passport says.
    We've literally got a TOP manager in charge of England.
    People should be excited by what TT could do with this team!

    Mark you’re spot on here. I’m almost convinced that these hacks are secretly hoping this team with generational talent doesn’t win because they didn’t.

    To you it's a "flawed argument", when cleeeearly you don't understand the argument at all 😅 To try and paint it as a prejudice thing just proves this.
    And fyi, you don't speak for the public either.

    I agree mark the mainstream media try to manipulate the game rather than just report on the game as really they should be

    Its not discrimination to want a manager from your nation to represent your nation. Whats next? Asking Mbappe to switch his nationality so we can win? 😂
    Everyone has gone woke just for the chance at winning a trophy.

      Are you dumb? England has only one decent coach in Eddie Howe, apart from him there all dogshit. But yeah let’s sit around and watch crap football again because managers have to be English 🤦‍♂️

    Shouldn't the England team have an English manager? To me, winning with a foreign coach is hardly winning at all

    Genuinely what a video Mark, just point after point after point. I'm sick of being told what the "right" thing is by the mainstream. I never agree with everything you say but on this video absolutely nailed on with this. And, also, just to say, what about Sven Goran Eriksson ? Did they bemoan him as well when they were being coached by him? Oh but they were first in the queue to send their heartfelt messages about his passing. The hypocrisy is genuinely maddening and I'm glad you're calling it out.

    Ow get over it Mark. The whole point of competitions involving nations is that the people come from the nation. And why shouldn’t that include the manager? No logic to that
