You say you wish designing and 'creating' those various wallpapers and clock styles were more controllable - exactly how much more controllable do you want them to be? I just got my (standard) Pixel 8 a few days ago and absolutely love the whole wallpaper choices and those new clock designs!

I have that we have to change or update our phones like you said “if your trying to keep it for a year or two I’d turn that off so it charges faster” I’d rather try to keep it as long as possible so I don’t have to repurchase and can spend more on things that make me and others happy or more sustainable but thank you for all of this information it was quite helpful🍀

Thanks how do I change the Google backup email since mine is full? I just got this phone two weeks ago I shouldn't be full already or old let me send an audio message to text from voice recorder said I'm out of space . I made space like it said but it still doesn't work . It stopped letting me use the voice recording inside the text too and speech to text hasn't always worked. Can you help me ?

One small nitpick: That's not what "at a glance" is. To disable the feed on the left of the home screen, turn off "swipe to access google app".
Overall, great video, i learned a few things!
Double pressing the power button doesn't launch the camera for me. It just shows and stops showing the unlock screen. Is there a setting you have to enable?

Man…. So I have the s23 ultra and fold 4 and I just bought my basically first iPhone 15 pro max before that I had for a few months an iPhone 4s but I swear that doesn’t count lol. So my first iPhone and basically it’s become for now my main phone and there’s a lot I like when I compare it to my galaxy phones but to be honest it might just be because it’s something new and different you know. I have always wanted to try these phones from google tho and this one looks like the one dammit ! I might get one but later on tho because I like to try different stuff you know

How do I view photos on my pixel 8?! All I can find is it in 'files' but then I absolutely cannot see where to find any of the fancy things like magic eraser! Do I have to pay for a Google photos account for this?!

He shows you how it is possible to use the power button for Quick Camera but he flies right through it and doesn't tell you how or where to do this. I'm sure I could figure it out on my own but he should have pointed out how to do it otherwise what's the point

At glance is that crap on the home screen which no matter what you can't turn it off,same as the idiotic google search bar from the bottom of the homescreen page.
For years already, customers complained about these 2 "features ",but google doesn't care.
The brightness slide toggle is on top and you can set it to come down by few mm,no helpful,on Samsung you can bring it down,so you can operate with on hand with less touches on the screen
I was sure about buying pixel 8 pro, but the more videos about it I watch, the less sure I am, maybe Ill just go with iphone or samsung... how come the PRO version of a flagship mobile in 2023 must wait a few seconds to change wallpaper....
Or icons size change takes ages, my oneplus6 from 2018 changes it immidiately

i am just furious about this dumb at a glance widget and a search bar! how is it possible, that you can't remove it at all? Is it android or am I using ios?! First time pixel user and sofar mostly disappointed.
- roll out of some features is done only for US (I just hope, EU is in their list)
- poor interface customisation (i prefer not to install any 3d party launcers)
- research goes on, so the list will be greater
the best tip is to take that garbage back to the store
