  • Today I go fossil hunting at an abandoned ironstone port. Port mulgrave at Yorkshire. We look for ammonite fossils and later I show an amazing and rare fossil fish find I found earlier in the year

    Nice finds as always Liam 👍 What day where you there? I visited on Sunday and found a fair few small dacs, a pebble with a few tiny fish bones and some horsetail stems I found north of the old port.

      I really like the horsetail plant fossils.

      @@ForgottenFossils I don't think they're that rare, but it's the first time I've found them and I'm really pleased with them. Interestingly, there were some living horsetails by the side up the path up the cliff- it really is a living fossil

    There was a lot of seaweed washed up on the shoreline. The tide looked nice and low for you to do some fossil hunting. What a lovely little nodule with scales in at the end Liam
