Holy soundtrack, Batman ! I have an audiophile pressing of Bobby Darin's “That's All”. I love that album. It was released by a small repress label that I believe is now defunct: Boxstar Records. Let me know how you like the Lena title. Excellent Blasters album. I hope you’re enjoying your weekend Steve.
@@mad4vinyl802 hi Mark. Yeah I pulled some good soundtracks out of this lot. I’ll give the Lena Record a listen tomorrow morning and let you know. I bet that Bobby Darin record sounds amazing. Have a great weekend.
That Country Funk lp is an absolute gem. Country rock/psych rock of the highest order. Great to hear you're a fan. Shame the later Bobby Darin lps Born Walden Robert Cassotto or Commitment weren't in the Darin stash. Now they are records with the 'country funk' sound and are big favourites of mine. I recall that Forever Young, Forever Free OST has a nice funky track on it but just a one tracker I think. Cheers Nige
Hi Nigel. Yes I’m a huge fan of country rock/psych especially when it gets funky. The great Beck sampled the opening track Apart of Me on his song Skinnyneck on the album Odeley. There’s a good chance I’ll run access more Bobby Darin albums. I’ll keep an eye out for the titles you mentioned. Thanks for digging with us. Be well, Nigel
@@TheVinylRecordMissionDisappointed with myself, I never noticed that Beck sample but yep there it is. Cheers for that Steve. And I hope those two Darin lps come your way. Incredibly good. Cheers Nige
The Selecter are a late 1970s Ska band from Coventry England, they had NO Members of Madness or the Specials in the band but are equally just as good. You have their first album TooMuch Pressure which is Excellent but check out their second album Celebrate the Bullet which is even better!!!
Thanks for the great info, Garry. I’m excited to look for their second album. I appreciate you giving me the correct information about the band. The Selecter looks to be a very significant band of the 2 tone ska movement. Thanks for digging with us and commenting. Cheers
Great video. Love Spirit's greatest hits, Lee Michaels and that Blasters album is killer. Fanny! There's a good documentary about them called "Fanny: The Right To Rock". Cheers.
@@7BobbyGaylor7 Hey there, Bobby! Great to hear from you! I already gave the Spirit album a good spin and yes it’s tremendous! I found some fun titles this time around. Thanks for the recommendation for the Fanny Documentary. ✌🏽 Steve
I have some interest in the Paul overstreet record he was a big writer in the 1980's in Country music and he looks very young in that album I have never seen that before
I’m most impressed by the Country Funk album on Polydor. It’s outstanding all the way through. Turns out Beck sampled their song Apart of Me on Skinnyneck. Beck’s approval makes it an honor to own this album. Oh and it was Captain’s Journey Rit with Steve Gadd on drums. I saw a Fanny reissue in the background of your last video. I thought for sure you’d dig Charity Ball from Fanny.
@@jtsrecordroom3963 I was happy to take home that Sealed copy of A Place At The Table With The Civil Wars and T-Bone Burnett. Great Dobro guitar on that record.
T Bone is cool, and Daniel Lanois. My singer, Kai was with T Bone and Alison Krauss with Robert Plant backstage at South Lake Tahoe for the Raising Sand Tour.. He didn't invite me ! Ouch😮💨
Thanks Carjo. We feel good about the records that would otherwise end up in a landfill having a purpose. I’ll look and see where the VU is pressed. Thanks for stopping by. ✌🏽
Haha! I was wondering if anyone would notice the winosaur shirt! It was a Christmas present from my Daughter a few years back. I love it! Thanks for noticing and mentioning it! You’re the coolest DBD! ✌🏽
You weren't kidding on all the soundtracks 👆. Is that a different cover on the "The Wild Life"? Could be the back, I just remember Chris Penn and cast on the front cover.
100% I brought home her beautiful album Angel Of The Night which is so apropos considering we just lost her. 💔 Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. ✌🏽 Steve
Hi Jimmy. You’re the second person to mention that Graham Parker record. My buddy JT said it has 4 or 5 really amazing songs on it. I guess I should have taken it home with me. It’s still at the storage. Thanks for digging with us, Jimmy. ✌🏽 Steve
The fact you take time to take us through the whole flip is wicked cool 🥶🤘 around nineteen minutes something featuring a heart is mentioned.why, I have no idea...😂
Hi there, Jesse. Why doesn’t that surprise me. I listened to it last night and immediately knew. Sissyneck wouldn’t be the same without County Funk’s sample from A Part Of Me. It’s amazing how the song A Part Of Me starts out so folky and then suddenly breaks into a killer psych funk sound! I love this album! Thanks for watching and sharing with us. ✌🏽💪🏽 Steve
damn, a few albums in there id want for sure, steve!! thats a varied collection of music!
Great stuff this dig!

Solid box of soundtracks, and Mona Lisa's Sister has 4 or 5 excellent songs. Agreed.. Captain Fingers is a good Rit !

I've been looking for Fanny originals. That should be their 2nd album that you ran across. I have that Country Funk..Somewhere, I got it at Bill's
The very best place to listen and watch Fanny is from The Beat Club 1971-72 TH-cam
