Good work, Brian. NFL disclosure my first Venture into OLED televisions was a b-series 65 inch. Most of the time the biggest differences is one of two things either a it has last year's panel or be it has a lesser processor. In my case, my b-series 65 inch had a lesser processor but the same panel as the C and above series. With all that being said, I have no regrets it is awesome. I do have a c-series in my living room now I moved to 65 in to the bedroom and now I'm considering an 83 for the downstairs and moving 77 into the bedroom. But we talked about this it's a part of our addiction, right?
Yeah the Braiva 7 blooming looks bad here and in the best buy i kinda noticed it had more blooming then the X90l at timea but still looked great, I guesing some updates fixed that.
Which tv would you recommend between the TCL QM851g and the Hisense U8N? Or an OLED for around $1,500 or less. 65” or 75” For Xbox Series X gaming and movies (blu-ray and streaming). The tv will be used in a dark to pitch black room. And all viewing will be directly in front of the tv. No of axis viewing.
I recently purchased a Sony X90 L, I got to say this TV is amazing, especially when you bring it home and put on a 4K Blu-ray!!! Personally feel feel like the X90L is the best TV on the market right now there’s no difference between it and a mini LED) The demos they use in store are not a good example of what these TVs are capable of.
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY it’s amazing, all I had to do was change the color temperature from expert one to warm. Movies and video games look amazing on it. Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray are on a whole Nother level even standard DVD is so good, it’s like watching a movie for the first time lol.
Thinking of buying Sony Bravia 9 75 or 77 inch for a room with a side wall of windows. Spouse also hearing impaired. He tried the microphone that layed around the neck, which really helped with sound clarity. Is there any other tvs you'd recommend for a bright room?
It's wild to see a sea of OLED TVs - I was at a Best Buy and I was mesmerized to see all the TVs. Here's an interesting question. Can people who are used to a Sony image switch to another TV? I loved the TVs but it wasn't until I moved to the Sony kiosk that my eyes felt like I was watching a TV that I would be happy watching content on.
Excellent comment! Yes, they can easily switch if it's an option they need or a size that Sony can't provide. You can love multiple signatures from different companies.
Still enjoy the store walk throughs. Good to see the 98" & 100" tvs on display, now I have to go check my local BB to see if they are displaying the same. Btw, the UX series has gone silent, curious if Hisense still plans on releasing the model.
@rct8884 I'm glad you still enjoy them. The UX is still releasing but not many details out there. Unfortunately that's kind of how both Hisense and TCL are .
If Samsung would upgrade the S95 series to a "Micro Matte" as you see on their smartphones that would be a lot more appealing. Somehow the smartphone coating doesn't seem to affect black levels, but the coarse matte of the S95D is just too much.
Depends on the lighting. The blacks are perfect in the dark and I cannot see any raised blacks when I have a bunch of lights on. I do know if you have an extremely bright light within a foot or two, that can cause the raised black light scatter effect. But in my case, the S95D has no issues with blacks.
My local Best Buy always sucks when it comes to the TVs. They rarely have any of the flagship TVs on display or in store. They don’t have any of last year’s or this year’s flagship TVs on display, although they briefly had a G4 on display for about a month. Samsung must throw so much money at BB for display and TV placement because my store does LG so wrong when it comes to that.
You have to go to the richer area BB stores. I live in between 3 of them and the less affluent area it's at sucks, it's an old store but the other 2 are bigger stores and have a way bigger selection of the latest products.
Hi.please guide me ...hisense u8 is q7n ??..in india Q7n is top ...is it worth buying 100inch hisense Q7n or should I wait for new .??which one I can go with
I recently visited my local BB and being an enthusiast I noticed they were displaying a 2023 Hisense 75” U8K but had it labeled as 2024 U8N. You can easily tell because they changed the back of the Tv on the new model. And of course none of the staff gave a shit lol🤣
I’m curious to hear your opinion on the difference between the Sony 98” X90L and the new LG 98” QNED89T. I’m torn between the two. I love Sony TVs but the brightness and color saturation on the LG has me questioning my loyalties. It’s a big purchase and I don’t want to get it wrong. What’s your pick Brian?
With large TVs, you are still having the same quality content as a small TV. A 98 inch TV is iirc 3 times larger than a 55 inch so the content is 3 times watered down (or stretched). The X90L will upscale the most out of the 2 and even on 55 inch TVs. But I'm Brian has seen both and he's a big fan of large TVs. Also Sonys need no setting changes - you can put the TV on default Standard, change to Warm 1 or 2 depending on preference, turn on the light sensor and you're done for eternity and few TVs will outdo it and 99% of folks will screw them up by making the wrong changes. Your picture will look infinitely better than the G4 in filmmaker mode (well, anything in FMM is limited to a score of 5 out of 10 so any TV will beat it).
Brian! Man my 98in Sony was delivered on Tuesday (24 Jul 2024) and the screen was cracked in several places on bottom left corner...It looks was sent back and a new order was place... Waiting on its arrival.
Just bought the G4 77 for 1.000 € less than the A95L. If you can't decide between those TVs, let the price talk. In my opinion you can't really go wrong with either TV...
Brian, is there only one BB in Myrtle Beach? If not, what location did you visit? I'm looking at a Sony (either B7 or B9). I would like to check out the side view on each model. Unfortunately they don't have either one locally. I have to go 50 miles to see them in person. While I don't live in Myrtle Beach, I am going there soon on vacation so I can mix a little business with pleasure. Thanks
I am a huge fan of your reviews! I just purchased 2 8k neo Qled TVs from Samsung (65inch 900D & 75 inch 800D) and I must say I’m so so so disappointed in them. They constantly reboot on their own out of no where. In the middle of the night they turn on and off. It’s horrible, I exchange them and still the same thing with the replacements. I contacted Samsung and Best Buy and these are known issues. Have you heard about this same problem? I have them picking the TVs up today and I had to go out and buy a Bravia 9 in the same dimensions. 🙏🏼❤️ fingers crossed and wish me luck.
Hey Brian, long time no see, I’m currently saving for a new tv as my tcl r635 just blew on me recently. Through all my research and price point I’ve narrowed it down to the Hisense u8n which I have been heavily favoring but now am leaning heavily towards the tcl qm850 or qm851. What are your thoughts?
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY thanks Brian, you’re the man as always, I do think I’m gonna plan for the qm851 though, hopefully I can get it by the start of football season
This stores merchandising team needs a swift kick. There’s zero reason to have old banners with new products. Especially since a lot of markets use 3PL to update this stuff.
77 inch Bravia 7? Conflicting model sizes. Did you mean the 75 inch Bravia 7 or 77 inch Bravia 8? I think it boils down to size preference. I have a 55 inch and sit 11 feet away. I was considering a 65 inch but I was at an Airbnb and it had a 65 inch from the same distance. Not a big fan. Larger for sure - better, not really. My eye was unable to see 40% of the screen at any time and I was watching the Euro and I want to see the whole image. But other people feel that a 98 inch screen from 11 feet is small 🙂 They prefer to look at 1/3 of the screen at any time. It's all preference. To be honest with you, the Bravia 7 is almost as good as the Bravia 9 so I would consider it at 65 inches as well especially as it drops to $1,600 soon or lower.

@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I was looking for a tv for our living room last year, so was looking for mini led. I like crisp, clear picture and bright highlights that pop like lightning strikes and stuff, I didn’t consider oled much because I hear it dims itself and they look not as bright. Im now looking for my bedroom that has curtains is more light controllable & wondering if I should get an oled now. I compared bravia 7 side by side to bravia 8 at best buy yesterday and the b8 seemed more rich colors, darker/ more contrasty, & overall dimmer but the Bravia 7 looked better like sunlight shining on stuff etc.. bravia 8 is a relatively dim oled too right? Those TV prices are too expensive for a retired-fixed-income person like me. I would not buy a TV above the $600 price point. One more thing, I don't like Google TV on any TV as I'd prefer Roku over Google TV, period.
People still by Sam's scrap? But Sony is starting to get greedy the prices are getting too high so my next one is going to be a Hisense they're pretty close to being equal with Sony I'm not sure in the reliability but I will get the extended warranty if it lasts as long as the Sony does goodbye Sony!!!!!!!!

Thanks
There are a few In South Carolina but only one in Myrtle Beach and it's excellent. It's right next to Costco. Definitely check them out
I am a huge fan of your reviews!
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that! I haven't experienced that with either the 900D or 800D. Best of luck with the Amazing Bravia 9
brian is the a90k a safe buy if you want a medium size tv that’s sony
@oldschoolgamer6427 it's fine but a little expensive for what it is. I'd go LG C4 at that size .
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY I’ve had bad experiences with lg that’s why haven’t bought an lg
We have 65” Sony A80L yesterday from Best Buy 1499 +tax
How do you like it?
Have you had hands-on experience with the TCL 98QM751 yet?
Even though Hisense and TCL have improved I'll always stick with either Sony or LG.
Understandable my friend!
@atj87_ they are all excellent! I give the U8N the slight edge this year for processing and better local dimming
@@BRIANSTECHTHERAPY thanks Brian, you’re the man as always, I do think I’m gonna plan for the qm851 though, hopefully I can get it by the start of football season
👋🏻👍🏻🍀 love the video !!! 🥳
@Yoga_Tv_buying thank you so much, my friend!
Do you think the x85k is still worth buying?
Great question! I would say it's a very good value especially at the larger sizes. It doesn't really have a successor except maybe the Bravia 3.
Sony a95l on the way baby ✌️
Awesome!! Congratulations my friend!
How’s that 48 inch s90d this year
@christopherarocha92 it's not a QD-OLED so the LG C4 beats it in processing alone.
This stores merchandising team needs a swift kick. There’s zero reason to have old banners with new products. Especially since a lot of markets use 3PL to update this stuff.
I understand, my friend. This is only one table off to the side . The rest of the store is set up very well. Thank you so much for watching
SONY 👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
Thanks Brian
Debating on a Bravia 7 77in or Bravia 9 65. 30% gaming 70% physical media. Thoughts anyone?
Very nyc video sir
Hello sir I'm living alone only SD HD channels not interested gaming so which one better for me Sony Samsung LG TCL & which model tell me sir 70k to 1lakh
Love from India 🇮🇳❤️
Best 3 65” tvs right now Brian?
At 65" ? The LG G4 , Samsung S95D , Sony A95L. If you don't like oled. Then Sony Bravia 9
Some others may be brighter? Wondering what would be best for my bedroom
Hey Brian notice an upgrade from x95k
@gregorylee6690 the Bravia Nine is a very nice upgrade over the x95k. The cognitive processor is amazing and the local dimming is much improved
That's why we need Brians Tech Therapy otherwise it will be like Tech Torture...at WorseBUY!!!
🤣🤣thank you for being here!
Those TV prices are too expensive for a retired-fixed-income person like me. I would not buy a TV above the $600 price point. One more thing, I don't like Google TV on any TV as I'd prefer Roku over Google TV, period.
You weren't too far from me.
Aww man! We should have gotten together. I'll hit you up next time I'm there. I hope all is well.
Qn90d for me
there can be only one!
@@highlander200268 awesome!!
Oled looks horrible on Tablet! TVs are on another league.
Sony TV's have the flakiest Wi-Fi......just sayin'.
Samscrap tv's are GARBAGE!!!!
People still by Sam's scrap? I wouldn't buy that garbage if it was the last TV on the market I had one didn't even make it to 10 months pixels were burning out on it absolutely garbage and it was not the high end but close to it!!! If you want a TV that's going to last go to Sony I've been buying Sony since I got rid of the garbage I've never had one die on me. But Sony is starting to get greedy the prices are getting too high so my next one is going to be a Hisense they're pretty close to being equal with Sony I'm not sure in the reliability but I will get the extended warranty if it lasts as long as the Sony does goodbye Sony!!!!!!!!
I have an LG and I will not buy another one Samsung is getting really bad reviews they don't stand behind their product I would not buy it
