That was really a fun video to watch, and we're learning more and more about Brandon's plethora(I like that word) of so many talents/skills. It's always enjoyable to watch you two working together, and I find myself laughing out loud sometimes, and enjoy watching, the way you all interact with just the right amount of needling each other, keep each other smiling and laughing, and make the best of all you two accomplish together, even on not the very best of days, with the weather and other dirtier jobs you two have done together. You all stay safe and warm up there, eh!
Awesome video! Boy did that bring back memories. I quit university to cut timber in Sitka AK. The cutters bunkhouse was split , pretty evenly between Stihl and Husqvarna. Husqvarna had chain speed and Stihl had torque. I chose Husqvarna. Primarily because most trees were around 36”. Every now and then you ran into a large Sitka Spruce. Then I picked a 090 Stihl. My largest was 12’. Truth is they are both very good saws and you really can’t go wrong. Today I would go for a Stihl because of balance. Great channel. I love this stuff. Best!
Getting our first taste of the hot humid summer months to come. I miss the snow already. Solar is so nice. Just a little pricey to get into when you do it right. Lots of work in that houseboat.
You guys are good! I like how your both " real". Careena isn't out there cutting down trees in yoga pants like other youtubers, bending over intentionally to garner views. It appears she REALLY knows how to use a chainsaw properly and enjoys it. Brandon has a wealth of construction knowledge , has a great attitude and seems really genuine. Good stuff! im subbing and thumbing up you guys! P.S. I do have 1 complaint...you guys need to upload more!!!
Believe in yourself. Look what YOU have achieved: beautiful wife, lovely children, own company, built your own house and houseboat. +38K followers on TH-cam, they are only there because you are you. AND YES we enjoyed the video
@@TimberMatesactually, I am very impressed of the knowledge that you possess with so many things. We can all learn so much by watching you at work in your videos. Careena is very blessed to have you in her life.. and vice versa! Such a great couple! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Bro, Stihl adjusting screws are always like that from new. It’s so you don’t need to be accurate when you are stabbing the scrench in the hole filled with oily sawdust.
Brilliant lift design. I was a Husqy dealer for years, so I'm biased. Great to see the side by side. I bet the fuel injection helped the Stihl start quicker. But the Husqy has a little more muscle.
Great video - thanks! Does the wood in the trees freeze? Does this affect the wear and tear on chains and tools? Asking becuase we get to -6C and think it is cold....
husky is 4.3 kw..5.7hp..70cc .and stihl is 5kw and 6.8 hp with 80cc ..the comparison is kinda weird..stihl has bettter numbers..and i can buy 2 husky for the price of one stihl:) ....why not pick husky 592 ..?:) or better 585 as its same cc , hp...
I have the 572XP, Stihl 500i, 395XP, and the 592XP among other saws. I don’t believe the Stihl power ratings as my 395XP with supposedly only 6.6HP destroys my 500i with a 28” bar compared to the Stihl running a 25” bar. The Stihl feels at best 5.9 or 6HP if the 572XP is 5.7HP. As far as why not buy a 592XP with 7.6HP (can’t speak to the 585XP) all I can say is that extra weight really wears you out and like the 395XP you only really want to use it in big wood.
My two favorite Canadian people.
Much respect and love guy's
Thanks so much as always Tim!!
Heck yeah, great episode. And holy crap, the legs on the pontoons? Really cool
It's been a minute. Almost forgot what you guys look like! Good to see you alive and kickin!!
Yep, I enjoyed it! Can't wait for the next one!

We couldn't agree more, we are lucky to have each other! Thanks so much for the kind words :)
Was a fun video and interesting thanks folks
hello Timber Mates & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool Thanks Timber Mates Friends Randy & STIHL 500 Cool to work
Brandon, you should really patent that lifting system. A large boat building company would pay big money for the rights to use that on their boats.
It’s been done before,
It’s how they anchor barges to drive piles for marinas.
I did enjoy it.. sitting here.. eating a Totino's pizza with a fire going. Doesn't get much better for watching videos 😉😂😂
Thanks for the video
Enjoyed!! Thanks for sharing!
Yup. I really enjoyed it!!!
Great Video Careena! Love both of your channels. /From the land of Husqvarna... 🥰☺

Guys??? Had no idea!!! The chainsaws can go on forever, but the secure pontoon is epic!!! Someone had to bring up TH-cam! Smart!!! 👍🏻👍🏻😎😎😎
Hey I just watch your guys video it was very enjoyable video very good job 👍
Thanks so much!

Totally agree, we always lean toward Husqy for preference but the STIHL is still a great saw.
Do you have plans for hot tent camping or over night.😊
I enjoyed it LOL I have never used a chainsaw but hey I learned something today!!
Good to hear!
The mighty chainsaw, man they are lifesavers
and backsavers!! lol :)

Good Question, where do you live?
Here in NZ it can get to -6 Celcius.
Nice video and good job 💪💪
I enjoyed it.
Do you sharpen your own chains
😊I enjoyed it😊
so glad to hear it!
Great video
Enjoyed!😊
Glad you enjoyed!
Well, I enjoyed it!
Very interesting
You should market/patent your boat "legs" and sell to a boat manufacturer
Yeah, I keep telling Brandon to do that!
I did enjoy it
The Stihl chain tightener screw is beveled from the factory it not striped!!!
Where the house
👍👍👍👍👍😀

not a promo at all for either of these. Just answering a lot of the inquiries we get in the comments.
