But never quite grasped, and never have gotten an answer from any other TH-cam teachers on specifically how to apply it to a ii-V. This is beyond helpful-it’s revelatory. A million thank you’s!
I like how Barry used the word "movements" to describe this process because it alludes to how counterpoint is the basis for all harmony historically, rather than the contemporary concept of "chord progressions."
Super clear, really shows the potential of this approach. It’s a route to endless possibilities not a closed off set of sounds. So glad I took the plunge and joined Jazz Skills, so many materials, so much help from you and the other Jazz Skillers - and whisper it, but so much fun as well. Sometimes hard to see your own improvement from the inside, but wow the progress I’ve seen in other members is quite amazing, but also inspiring. As always thanks Shan you doing an important job fantastically.
