towel under the trail armpit drill is the legit master feel for the backswing. takeaway with the shoulders + keeping that trail arm tucked completely revolutionized my iron play all around
The most important thing to me is you need to hinge your right wrist back wayyy more than you think you do. Only then will you be able to utilize a good swing path and not be glancing the ball and pushing/slicing it right.
Yes!!!!!!!! I'm about a 5 HC and thats a huge thing that dropped me.down from a 10...the right wrist seriously need.to feel like it's completely at its.max hinge...excessively to where it feels ridiculous (at least that's the feel...) even if you do overdo it your swing will likely be pretty.damn close to plane just maybe with a closed face (which frankly most average golfers need right)
Personally agree with this, my best contact comes from or is a result of a good hinge. Think about it, to get a good hinge you’re also doing several other things right or vice-versa being Able to hinge also allows you to do the others better, on plane etc
Funny that this video has come along, I've really shortened my back swing recently and it's improved my consistency immeasurably - all whilst not sacrificing too much distance (if any). If anything that shorter swing helps me achieve that whipping motion just that little bit easier.
Confused because early you seem to say swing on the ball elbow plane and later you show swing way above it. Or do you mean parallel to the ball elbow plane?
Saguto's stak n tilt is is easier no thinking required Ben Hogan style. When your right elbow becomes detached and separates you are relying on weaker muscles to control your arms hence club.
I was only able to become a fairly good golfer after shortening my backswing and keeping my body still. Swaying and long loose movements are swing killers.
I don't do a full rotation either. And I still hit my driver about 270yds. Same with my irons. I hit pretty good like this and I'm not changing my swing lol
I still don't understand what he was trying to impart. He says to try not backswinging, but then does a backswing and hits the ball perfectly. ...and the rope thing was just confusing.
The Swing Buddy looks good, but i have an interesting problem with it. I play golf right handed, but i throw a stone, ball etc left handed. I cant throw right handed to save my life. I should probably have played golf left handed, but i did like a lot of people, played with an old set of a friends clubs. How do i solve that problem.
I’m the same way I throw a baseball left handed and write left handed but have always golfed right handed. Sometimes I feel like I’m blocking my swing and can’t correct it so I bough my a left handed wedge just to dabble swinging left handed and it was a disaster. Maybe if I devoted myself to it I could make the switch?
Why not demonstrate this using either the EXPLANAR or PLANE SWING training aids …. Most driving ranges have them … it would give viewers a super clear example.

Going to change my swing to that. Makes it so much easier and more consistent.
absolutely, used to struggle a ton with iron consistency and that drill alone helped so much@@TraumaER

@@MarkSmithhhh hey mate , do you mean when you take the backswing to its max ? With the wrist ? Danny new to golf 😊

Me to,plus not pulling it now also
I am going to try that this year. I'm encouraged by your statement on distance too.
Excellent. Concise without filler.
Been working on this. Hope it doesn't rain tomorrow

Had to do this because of age and lack of mobility. Made a world of difference in accuracy and distance.
Well done Russell 😊

Where can you buy this swing buddy?
I use the orange whip swing trainer would you recommend it tho
They are really good but especially for tempo.

The Swing Buddy is not available in the US?
Length of sturdy rope works too. See Dr. Kwan’s rope drill
@@Bronco-Bill I was just thinking, "Why do we need a Swing Buddy? Just double up on a jump rope."

Bloody ridiculous game!

His advice is to shorten your backswing..
@@maloyck1626 oh..wow...that definitely required a youtube video.
I'm trying to find a way to get better at golf.. but I'm pretty sure I turn a bare minimum.. I'm not sure what I can do except practice I guess

Ironically ive always had a short backswing and spent a lot of time, and money, trying to lengthen it!!!

why not get a camera and make your own youtube channel?
Definitely a Moe Norman vibe.

Sorry but I found nothing more that a regular golf knows . I do hope this maybe helps a beginner.
Wtf is with the misleading thumbnail
