Love the honesty in your videos mate and it’s the reason I find myself watching every week, as mechanics we’ve all had those days working in the cold where you just think sod this, there must be easier ways to make money, I appreciate that you show that side in your videos, we love working on cars but sometimes it pushes us to our limits and enjoy that human aspect that you bring to your videos 👍
Yeah I like to show every side of things, it’s easy to make things look perfect t and everything going right but in the automotive industry we all know that’s not how it is 👍🏼
thanks for messaging me the other week giving me advice on starting up mobile. Been going a month and a half now and now getting very busy! Really enjoying it currently and looking foward to the future. thanks for the help!
Credit to your hard work mate! I can imagine it’s tough work doing it mobile. Really enjoy your videos. May I ask, I’m a diy mechanic at home but need a diag tool for my Vito 447. Does the Topdon pro have full functionality for all models or is there another? Keep up the videos mate
Love your vids im not car savvy and amazed how good you are. Have you ever done puretec 1.2 engine oil pressure wet belt crap. Huge horrible job my pug Rifter failed at 30k 😑
Yeah it’s really good for what I use it for day to day, considering you could spend thousands I think it’s value for money (tomorrows vídeo will have a discount code 👍🏼)
Watching your video's just amazes me every time. Some times they cost me money because when you use certain grease on parts im like wait why dont i have that grease so have to go buy some. Now your exhaust tool is going to cost me as i now want one. I might have imagined it though when you done that exhaust repair bit it looked like there was a hole just above the hanger on that exhaust or the video my end wasnt focused right. I hope you and Mrs kerby have a great week and looking forward to your next video
Hard work lying under cars in the winter, great vid tho Kerby, really interesting, better watch than putting the telly on!!! , Coding batteries in , whatever next !!, Well done mate

Hello, been watching for a while and recently subscribed. Great to see what you get up to during the week. I am aiming to start as a mobile mechanic next year and needed some advice. I have seen you use the top don diag kit but do you use any others or is that enough. Also what is you hourly rate and is all work priced on book times (autodata) 👍
@kerbsidemobilemechanic Dang; I'm sure you've found that out the hard way then lol. Did my dad's battery and just dropped the bonnet to half catch and spent ages being miffed that the wipers just stopped working magically 🤣
Serious question today 😂. Why do you do mobile mechanic stuff putside in the rain when you also do car sales? Surely that's more profitable? Top videos though!
😂 it can be very profitable but also you need a serious amount of investment and have a lot of capital laying about in cars to make that profit, also mobile mechanic work is instant income 👍🏼
Hate working on plastic fantastic german cars. I can tell you from extensive personal experiences that BMW uses the same suppliers of plastics/rubber as found in one dollar toys. The differences to proper Japanese cars, Toyota, Suzuki, Mazda is humongous. Rubber is soft even after 10 years in winter time on these. German polymers break when you sneeze adjacent to the car.
I just can’t get behind cars newer than 1995. Just no fun to work on. I lease a new car to daily but when I see these bmw (or even worse, audi) they just do nothing for me. Coding a battery? No thanks! It’s all a scam, like printer ink.

Im enjoying the likes of yourself,Baz and O'rileys, real stuff that we can relate to. Not 250,000 supercars
Never miss an episode keep it up 🤙
Love to see that sort of comment, I appreciate everyone that takes the time to watch the videos 👍🏼

No problem mate, love to hear it, you’ll go through some tough times but it’s all worth it and you’ll never look back 👍🏼
Big up from Scotland 👍👍👍
👍🏼👍🏼
Some vag cars done work with the bonnet open. The wipers hit the bonnet golf's. A3s. Etc ❤
I know, the latch was latched, I remember because when I went to close the bonnet it just bounced back 😂
I was watching Kerby 5 years ago, when he had 2 subscribers, Marvelous and the Mrs 😮😮😮
Impressive considering I’ve been on here 2 years

I’ve not done one yet no but I do have one coking up in the new year hopefully so stay tuned for that (terrible idea these were belts)
Those are SU carburetors and the bottle shaped things are dash pots which contain oil. Widely used on cars like the original Mini.
Totally lost when it comes to working on carbs in all honesty 😂
@@kerbsidemobilemechanicMustie1 has loads of carb videos, they are not as bad as you think to work on.
No I know, fairly straightforward but I’ve just never had to work on them really
That exhaust mount tool! What a revelation!
A beautiful tool
Oi oi got that same wiper puller from Mac man 30ish plus vat says it 1tone of pulling force apparently 😂 also said it’s the best puller around !!!
1 tonne of pressure to get a wiper blade off would be mental 😂
@ you know what these tool men are like 😂😂 that’s Mac man so if snap on sold it would
Have been 2t 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 could pull wheel bearings with it
Hi Kerby how good is that Topdom ?
Yeah it’s really good for what I use it for day to day, considering you could spend thousands I think it’s value for money (tomorrows vídeo will have a discount code 👍🏼)
With the wiper motor mate did u try it with the bonnet catch shut a lot of vag won’t let the wiper work with the bonnet open
I did, had the bonnet catch in the closed position 👍🏼
Kerbie, you're the best mate & I have, indeed, followed you since day one! Can I put some stuff on your Euro Car Parts mate, thanks!?
Only if you pay for it 😂😂

7:32 ⚠️⚠️⚠️close the bonnet!!! VAG washers and wipers don’t work when the bonnet is up!
Was latched 👍🏼thank you though
Another busy week mate. You will soon be the window wiper whisperer 😂

Good times 😂
Close the bonnet the wipers will work 👍 they all do this on vws
I had the bonnet latch “latched” 😮💨
I bought one of those pliers for rubber mounts a few weeks ago, haven't used them yet, but it looks like they work.
Used them a few times now, game changer
Do you use a memory saver/ keep power to the car when changing batteries as I need to do mine but I don’t have my radio code
I don’t no, majority of the time it doesn’t lose the code tbh
Nice job
Thank you 👍🏼
Those things on the classic car are Flux Capacitors. They are fitted on Wiggle Valves, usually painted with Tatton Paint
Ah I thought as much, didn’t have my left hand handed screw drivers to hand to take them off
The guy that has my fiesta st150 must feel the same as you. He was given a 2 day job and he's had it for 3 weeks on Wednesday!!!!!
😂😂I bet it’s one rusted bolt causing havoc
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic It's done get it back tonight!
Fingers crossed it’s all ok 👍🏼
Hi kerby thought springs had to be replaced in pairs or is that not necessary anymore , great vid again 😊
The other one had been done recently, hence why both should have been done at the same time yes 👍🏼
Can see the discount code for the code diagnostic reader in the description
I’m still waiting on it, check back tomorrow afternoon it should be there 👍🏼
Those exhaust hanger bracket tool things are amazeballs.
Been using one for a while and they save so much swearing haha
Honestly don’t know how I’ve only just picked a set up
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic I saw someone on YT using them, that's why I bought them.
You’ll also be like why haven’t I got these sooner
This is me from the future where you have 500k subs, I was here from the start.
Haha 500k that would be amazing
Are did you latch bonnet
I did indeed
Link for the neck torch if you can please dude, I’m a HGV tech down in Essex and they would help so much 😂

I don’t unfortunately mate sorry
Nice easy week for you that kirby 👌
Yeah not too shabby mate 👍🏼
Good thing about those air fresheners is that you can buy refills or just refill them yourself
I’ve had it in the van 2 weeks and still smells great
I'm at 5:41 and it's killing me because I already know why the wipers don't work and it's made me feel daft as can be before!
It’s not that lol catch was in the closed position

Code matching a battery to a car ? Has the world gone completely insane ?
I know, technology hey
And some cars need the battery status monitor reset when fitting a new battery!
Over complicated aren’t they
