    Hi, Leonard. Interesting video. No, eight minutes was not bad at all. The airport is so busy and huge! Very interesting information. I always enjoy watching. Since I have no sense of direction, I would be lost!

    So much easier going this route into Canada then being stopped at land borders and questioned. Some of those agents are on a power trip

    • @abinitioeverywhere

      @@jia4271 An e-Gate is a self service kiosk where you don't deal with an actual agent and follow the prompts i.e. scan your passport and answer questions. It's actually a lot better! You will be fine plus there are workers than can help you.

    • @doriancroatia2054

      @@jia4271 you complete customs there. just follow the on screen instructions. it's very quick, one minute or two. you fill out some info and scan your passport

    Are landing cards still handed out on the plane just before arrival for people to fill in?

  • @cdnstoictraveller8038

    The worst is when a ton of flights arrive at the same time! = more waiting time for your luggage & clearing customs but thank god for the e-Gates!!

    Was there no Immigration check for visitors

    • @doriancroatia2054

      author of this video is a Canadian citizen, I think that's the reason why they didn't question him. immigration check is righ after you finnish this e-gate customs declaration. you can see CBSA officer if you watch carefully.

    You seem a bit confused when you enter a country getting off a plane you aren’t going through security that is what you do when you get on a plane to make sure you have no weapons .
    The first step is to go through immigration passport control and after you clear that you collect your luggage and then go through customs .
    I know they call it CBS Canada Border Security but they are basically just checking your immigration status and to see if you are bringing back something you shouldn’t or something you need to declare and pay duty .

    • @leonardsheatravel

      @@kevbrown1867 Yes. That is correct. Have you been through the Toronto airport? Thank you for watching!

    • @kevbrown1867

      @@leonardsheatravel Yes I spent most my life living in Toronto and I am a Canadian and used to drink Molsons Canadian .
      Last time I went to Toronto 6 years ago customs and immigration took a lot longer
      Good to see that it is running smoothly now , they used to have problems with the machines and so many international flights arriving at the same time .
      I currently live in Vietnam and travel extensively through out South East Asia
      What is different from Canada vs Asia is before you can get to the gate you must go through customs and immigration
      If you over stayed your visa it is a big fine to get to your plane .
      Should you try taking out too much VND money from Vietnam they will keep it .
      But I have no problems with that it is good to have exit restrictions
      Canada seems to be good with entry rules but have no restrictions on exits
      They need to copy what most of Asia is doing so people respect your borders .
