    Quick Update: It's been a few weeks since I filmed this but I ended up returning this motherboard. Eventually either the CPU or the Motherboard died. Black screen, 100% fans, refuses to post. Bios flashback doesn't fix the issue and there's only one bios version available right now. I might eventually revisit this motherboard later after Newegg processes the return. In the mean time, back to the 5800X & Crosshair VIII Impact for this build...

      I'd always recommend grounding yourself before you touch a component like a MB and/or a CPU. My friend did this last month and busted the MB. Invest in a wrist strap it's literally $5 bucks and will save you big time.

      Same here. Same motherboard, same issue. RMA'd to asus last month, still in repair status. Really disappointed.

      That's very unfortunate. It seems like this generation of X670E Asus boards are a little half baked. We'll see my X670E Extreme Board fairs...

      so what was the problem? the mobo the cpu or both?

    Think that m.2 heatsink could handle a gen 5 SSD? looks a little puny for it.

    Beautiful case and great overall presentation, i'm happy youtube poped up your channel on my recommended!
    Sad to hear about the CPU or Mobo dying, i hate it when it happens, it makes me anxious like a little kid.

    Can you please make a short video of a system startup with this motherboard? I'm on the fence about buying this as I'm hearing it's very loud at startups.
    Also, maybe some footage of motherboard fan noise during load?
    Hope you can hook us up, thanks!

    Excellent video, please keep it up! I'm upgrading my ITX rig today and was wondering if this Mobo would fit my DH-15S CPU cooler ... you happened to cover that for me 100% :) Thanks again!

    Curious if you could comment about how long it takes for you to boot into Windows with this motherboard? Thanks

    Hello, I have this motherboard and Im having a weird problem, when I press the power button all the fans ramp up at maximum and seems like an error check secuence that last for about 50 seconds (which is a lot) and then it boots, this happens everytime and I don't see a way to disable it in the bios, did you experience something like this with this board?

    Based of your videos since the comparison between the Aeron & the Embody chair, it seems like you’re still using both chairs. Has your opinion changed regarding the chairs since your comparison video? Do you still prefer the Aeron?

    • @SuprUsrStan
      @SuprUsrStan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I still prefer the Aeron. This is just a studio space now and I spend most of my time in the Game Room.

    Can you make a video about them VRM Fan noise and any other issues. I'm also condidering this MB but worried amount the noise.

    • @SuprUsrStan
      @SuprUsrStan  ปีที่แล้ว

      VRM Fan noise is pretty loud on boot. It quiets down after boot though. You can go into the QFan setting to adjust the chipset fan speeds. generally, I don't think it's that big of an issue if it doesn't ramp up and I haven't had it ramp up.

      @eyelikescifi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SuprUsrStan I know you’ve RMA’d this board but is the VRM fan a standard size or custom? Thought about replacing it with a third party fan that might be quieter.

    • @SuprUsrStan
      @SuprUsrStan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@eyelikescifi go into the bios Q-Fan and set the profile to silent or set a manual rpm so that it’s silent. No need to change the fan.

    Which cable exactly do I purchase for the SPDIF OUT port on the ASUS HIVE? It doesn't look like a normal SPDIF connection.

    A quick question, when power on, do you hear any noise from the motherboard?

    • @Digitalfeelin
      @Digitalfeelin ปีที่แล้ว

      I do, and I'm currently googling around looking for solutions. Not really finding anything so far. The board seems to work completely fine, just a really loud startup for ~5-10 seconds, sounds like a fucking jet engine.

    • @SuprUsrStan
      @SuprUsrStan  ปีที่แล้ว

      Only on boot. Then it settles down.

      @@Digitalfeelin if you find out how to, please @me. Right now I have seen on solution by building custom bios. I don’t want to do that. Hope asus will give us the bios control for that

      @@Digitalfeelin Ramping fans on boot is normal. On mine, it settles down after a few seconds though. A lot of PSUs and other components do that too. I think the CPU fan also ramps up on boot if you're on air. Just how ASUS does the boot process.
