When I had my quarter-life-crisis 3 years ago and switched my career plans from film to teaching, your TH-cam channel was the first "Teacher-Tuber" I found. I stayed up all night gobbling up your videos as I began processing the panic and fear of starting a new life. I've been watching your videos ever since. I never could've imagined that the start of my teaching credential program would start now, of all times, when the entire educational world is having to restructure because of something we didn't even know about 6 months ago. I'm extremely nervous about how remote field work is going to affect how much I learn and how thoroughly my experiences prepare me for the full-time teaching world. But this video has been SUPER helpful in giving me an idea how my days might look and I've already started collecting your TPT resources for my future classroom. Thank you so much again! I would love more videos for credential students and first-time teachers!!

Hi Megan. Maybe it helps your essential questions in a playful way but I heard about a card games called "7 wonders" where the aim is to build a civilization that last (by developing your army and/or sciences).
I love your content, Megan! I purchased 3 versions of your Daily Slides to keep me and my in-class & virtual students on track this year. I also put the class name on each page, so there would be no confusion about which class it was for! Your work and message are appreciated. I am changing from 8th History to 5th History - similar content, but I need to level it sown somehow. Wish me luck!
This came at the perfect time. I've been moved from 3rd to 7th & 8th grade (all subjects) and the subjects I'm most concerned about prepping for are Language Arts and Social Studies. Math and Science are super straight forward but am working to put together my year-at-a-glance for those classes. I'd love to see what novels and writings you use to teach your 8th grade lit class too! Always a great video, Megan! (And the Jensen cameo was PERFECT too! He's such a cutie!)

I'm still not as far as you are with the planning process. Our district just voted earlier this week to change to a new LMS. We start PDs on Monday and I am ready to get this going. I spent all of last year, my 1st year teaching, feeling like I was behind and I am really trying to circumvent that happening this year. I love your syllabus! Clear and concise, yet pretty. :)

Do the common core standards differ per state because I’m in Florida? I consider getting the cards but I believe we changing our standards? Where can I see your syllabus?

The previous teacher just used novels and now I’m finding it hard to find many resources and a consistent way to teach with the resources I’ve found! It’s so stressful. Do you like having the textbook as well as novels? Idk if I could talk admin into purchasing for all 70-80ish students

This is so simple! This concept seems less time consuming and probably easier for students to navigate than the virtual classroom slides.
