God doesn’t cause division. It is the devil that causes that. In a biblical sense, the demonic keeps people from the cross as mentioned by Fulton Sheen. Just as St. Peter was attempting to stop Christ from the cross so does the devil affect our relationships to keep us from reaching the cross. It is possible that God allows us to discern the situation and our relationships. But I really belief that we must also look into ourselves and find out if we are the cause of the break of some of our relationships. That’s hard to do as we might find a part of ourselves that is not as good as we thought it was but a deception we put on ourselves to make us feel like we are good. That’s when it really hurts. But I pray you are able to find a group or reunite this group that helps you in this journey to Christ. Blessings
I dread the holidays because my family members who have fallen away from the faith will go mass with us and receive communion. My mom thinks it is great. I however don't like that they are receiving communion in the state of grace and I would prefer it if they didn't attend at all!!
Question: "Is it a sin to be jealous of a speaker because he has a large vocabulary and makes me feel inadequate?" Answer: "I don't know what you're talking about. Who planted this? ... Ok. Jealous is not the right word..." I'm dying over here.

The Divine Will caused a HUGE division in our conservative Catholic prayer group. Friendships were torn. We all split up.

It's my understanding that you are obligated to mention, privately to them, to refrain from Communion. You can also mention this to your priest.
