    First of all, I miss your face. Blue tongue or not. Second. Those birds singing gave me all the feels. Last. This flex follies video is so much fun to watch, mostly because of you! Thank you for this video.

    I just received a Piuma with the 1.4 mm stub and it's very wet and wider than I expected. I think I'll ask for a swap to the 1.1 mm nib. Beautiful pen in any event.

    Love the Scribo pens. Nibs and styling are outstanding. Wish I either had more money or the pens were a bit less costly cuz I'd love to have several.

      I'd settle for one with different replacement nibs! Too bad their nibs can't be purchased separately! I'd get an 18k EEF, EF, F and either a stub or a broad of some sorts!

      @@basta.dotto_ that would be brilliant! But then they make new finishes like the Teatro and I'm back to wanting more...🥰

      @@robbinallan3767 I'm not crazy about the Teatro. The ones that caught my eye are the Feel Blue-Black and Panarea, and La Dotta Moline. I'd have to see the Blue-Black in real life, because, at times, it looks like a deep dark navy blue, and at other times, it looks more like a green-leaning blue-black. Oh, and the Viola is nice too!

    Really good video seen it twice. Have a broad Scribo Broad Ultra Flex which is excellent. Want an EF Flex especially after seeing your video. I also like the 3B. But I can’t afford them both. So aiming for the EF flex. Thank you really enjoyable video and love your handwriting. D

    Scribo should send you all the nib iterations, from 18k EEF to Stub and 14k EF to B, so you could have fun with them, like you did with the Platinum #3776 nibs, and show us; one ink, one paper - to have everything on par - and all the nibs!

    Would the nib portion that extends out from the section be closer in length to a Sailor 1911L/Pro Gear nib or a KOP nib, taking only in consideration the part that extends out from the section, please?
    ETA: I forgot to ask if the EEF feed has one channel or two channels? I've read that, apparently, the EF and above have two channels. If it only has one channel, could I swap in a two-channel Scribo feed?

    I went to Scribo website and didn't see where you could get nibs. Are there available on there own??

    Can you buy Scribo nib units separately? I hadn’t realised they screwed out

    • @jeffstyr
      @jeffstyr 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't seen them for sale separately anywhere, but you could ask the company--they seem pretty accommodating, so they might be willing to sell you one.

      I had a quote direct from Scribo at one point, so I’d imagine you could get one from them. You’ll be paying a lot though, IIRC in my currency the nib alone was more than half of what the whole pen costs.

  • @stitchpunknz

    I think you need a medium flex as well (for completeness :D) I have the EF, F and M 14k on my 3 Piumas, but I can’t imagine going any broader than that, the M is pretty wet already. Absolutely my favourite pens. Does that Feel you were using glitter at all? Or is it more like marble?

    • @jeffstyr
      @jeffstyr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not glitter; it looks similar to flecks of white paint, both on the surface, where they look white, and under the surface, where the end up looking light blue. Not really like marble I think.

    Thanks for the video. I feel Scribo is overpriced for what they offer. Their materials are indeed beautiful but nothing to write home about. All their value is in the marvelous Nibs but at the same price of a Visconti Homo Sapiens I find them overpriced. The only one I would consider is your "A riveder le stelle" with that fabulous EF Flex Nib. "A riveder le stelle" It's from Dante's Divine Comedy. It's the last verse of the Inferno when Virgil and Dante after having gone through the whole inferno came out to the light and can "See the stars again". That's what "A riveder le stelle" means. Cheers.

    thank you very much for your review. Maybe you didn't want to have all those pens dirty but it wuould be very important to see how they work when ink passes through their feed because a good nib immersed in ink might not work as expected ,if feed doesn't provide the right amount of ink.

  • @paulmchugh1430

    Beautiful pens and nibs. As much as I would like flex nibs, perhaps I do not have the patience to use flex nibs properly. The EEF nib may be the best nib for me as my handwriting is smaller and also being left handed (drying time for the ink). However, the EF flex is intriguing. Love the softness of gold nibs. My favorite is the Pilot SF nib. Bouncy with some line variation.

    The question is, does Scribo feel like a successor to OMAS? For those who have missed out on OMAS, does Scribo do any justice to it's OMAS heritage, or does it feel like a pen with a brand new DNA?

    • @jeffstyr
      @jeffstyr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think there is a certain similarity at least; the designs so far are not "plain" but also not wild, and the faceting of the Feel reminds me of the faceting of the Paragon and Milord. But I don't think that they are trying to be an OMAS revival. But, it's my understanding that they bought the nib-making equipment from OMAS so the nibs are really the same (other than the imprint, and some new sizes I think). From my experience the Scribo pistons are smoother--but since my OMAS pens are all second-hand and years old, they might have stiffer pistons just due to that.

    • @ironmic9244
      @ironmic9244 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jeffstyr The facets never even entered my mind. Good call. I should've picked up on that considering Leonardo 's Delta's DNA is apparent to me. Too bad Scribo didn't buy the rods too, but then I guess Scribo would charge $10,000 for their pens. I don't have any Scribos, but the OMAS that I do have ........ oh man, they're absolutely, splendidly fantastic.
