  • Our April 2014 trip to Beersheba Springs, TN to the Stone Door overlook and Greeter Falls. Shot some fun aerial footage with our Phantom 2. Was blessed to have a beautiful day and a lot of water at the falls flowing.

      No! Never heard of it! I'll have to look it up. Where is it?

      @@mikeisi Its there at savage gulf in the side of the cliffs. Only way to reach it is to repel. Can see it better after the leaves have fallen. Should be able to get a close up with your drone. My mother always told me there was an Indian curse on the gold inside the cave. I noticed you have a vid of the narrows of the harpeth,I live about 5 miles from there now.

      Thanks! Yeah if you've never been it's a must. If you're in the Monteagle/Tracy City area also you should check out Foster Falls as well as the Grundy Forest Day Loop. (all can be seen on our TH-cam page) :)

      Ha! We were literally there yesterday. (11/04). We didn’t eat lunch but got some snacks. Nice little place. The owner recognized us because she said she watched our hiking videos.

      We were at Greeter on Friday afternoon and it was pretty cold there. The hike around from Boardtree falls was the coldest we were all day. There was ice at the base of the lower falls.

      What do you mount your camera on to get the footage when you are walking? I mounted mine to one of my trekking poles but not sure if I like that setup.

      Recently I've been using something called a Glidecam made by a company called iGlide. Works pretty well for keeping smooth shots while walking. Little bit of a pain to setup though.

    Excellent!! We have a cabin about 2 miles from the Stone Door on Grassy Ridge Road, but have never seen the Stone Door from this perspective. Some time when your'e in Beersheba again, stop by our place. You could launch your drone from our deck overlooking Tarleton Valley and probably get some good video of the valley.Buddy & Nancy Rogers

    awesome video sir. Hey how far are the falls from stone door?

    • @mikeisi
      @mikeisi  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luis Pedraza thanks! Both Stone Door and Greeter Falls have their own parking lots that you can drive to. They are only a few minutes apart from each other. Both hikes from the parking lots are very short. (1 Mile or less) However, you can hike between the falls and stone door if you're wanting to do a good hike. I can't really remember but it's probably a 5-6 mile hike between the two. Check out our other videos of this area on our page. My favorites shots I've taken at Stone Door are in a video titled Sunrise at Stone Door.
