"why pay for dysphoria medication when sunlight is free" ah yes i love it when sunlight makes me grow a beard and have a deep voice so i feel comfortable in my body
Thank you for talking about how there is biphobia, acephobia, and transphobia within the community. I’ve had people within and outside of the community debate the existence of my sexuality as a bi person and it’s crazy that these people who have experienced such similar things will put someone else through that.
Yeah, my sister is trans and bi and my dad tells her that by saying she's bi, she's denying the fact that she's actually just gay. Even before she came out as trans, when she said she was bi my dad was just like "oh, you're gay, okay"
@@mld04 Yeah, I'm ace too. It's because people sometimes think asexuality isn't a "real" sexuality because there is no sex involved and that LGBTQ+ is just about sexuality, but it's not. It's about identity
@@mld04 Yeah, other identities in LGBTQ do say that, but there are people ready to tell us it's straight-up wrong not to want to have sex around every corner, so what else would you call that 😶
My 10 year old son's best friend who was a girl, came out as a trans man (or trans boy rather), and it was so easy for my son to learn his new name and pronouns. If a TEN year old can do it with no fuss, then grownups have no excuse other than being a transphobic toilet brush.
Transphobes: omg it's just too hard to call you by a different name and pronouns!! Also transphobes: *purposefully misgenders and dead names a person even though it's been 9 years since said person transitioned*
I started puberty blockers at the age of five because I had precocious puberty; breast development, growth spurts, hair growth. The blockers prevented me from starting my period at five years old. Now, I’m a normal, healthy 31 year old woman. Of course it’d be wrong to needlessly start someone on hormone therapy at a young age but my point is that it’s not doing the damage that they claim.
The bee thing is actual beautiful! In the U.S., the Endangered Species Act doesn't have a category for insects, but the category for fish is the only one to specifically mention invertebrates (but DOES NOT specify that they have to be aquatic), so a California Court ruled that for the purposes of the Endangered Species Act, bumblebees and a certain land mollusk are classified as fish. It's one of my favorite things ever!!!
@@BlueTressym My assumption is that it's because the Endangered Species Act is a Federal Law, so the California Court has no jurisdiction, but in the state of California, bumblebees are fish and are a protected species 😁
I am 6’2” with broad shoulders and narrow hips, I am a cisgender woman who has 2 sons one of whom is a transgender man, I love them both and am very proud of them, I wish that the fear and ignorance that causes transphobia would just stop
Enough sunlight lets you vaporize your useless flesh and become a being of pure energy. Then you can shoot lasers at people who are against modern medicine.
That's a very good point. Trans kids who go on blockers are doing so later in life than the cis kids in precocious puberty they were developed for. And not only are there *many* former cis users of them, there are trans adults who used them when they were young, they're not experimental.
Right! My cousin started puberty at 5 and my grandma can accept her being on puberty blockers but when a trans person is suddenly it's sinful. I just dont know sonetimes
It's also a sign of them being sexually abused so it should be looked into. Sometimes they just got it way too early but sometimes it is a really bad sign.
As a female swimmer who has swam against a trans woman I can confirm that she is perfectly average, she wins some races and loses some races, I am not quivering under a desk, (insert that one seagull meme) Edit: I’m not a good swimmer she is much better than me
To be fair, since no one is exactly the same there’s always going to be someone with an advantage over another, so, the idea that Trans-Women should not be admitted into women’s sports is basically like saying everyone in a particular event must be of the exact same height, build and skill level, and so the event would be boring, because the odds would 100% even, thus, no one would lose or gain points.
@@samuelbarber6177 that’s true, but the fact that trans women in women’s sports will always have an edge, is also an issue. The odds are 100 percent skewed when allowing bio males in women’s sports, which by the way were created specifically because bio males have physical advantages, especially in swimming. Does that mean all trans women will be dominant? No, but if they were training just as hard as the other girls and got the same skill level as you were saying, the odds would not be 100 percent even, all trans women would have an advantage. The division of men’s and women’s sports was created to the physical differences in men and women, so if you believe you are female, but every cell in your body is male, you should not be playing with other players whose cells are all female. Female cells play with female cells, male cells play with male cells, it’s that simple. Doesn’t matter what your conscious mind believes you are, it matters what your biological makeup is.
@@baple where are all these super female athletes?? Trans women have been able to compete in the olympics since 2004 and not 1 trans women has ever won a medal, by your logic, we should be having at least a few trans women gold medalists already right since they ALWAYS have an edge. Even in lower sports where trans women have done well, they also don't win all their races in a landslide. Lia Thomas the girl the right turned into a big deal lost her last race in 8th place meaning 7 cis girls beat her.
The aggressively uninformed transphobia is so freaking exhausting. I mean, even the informed transphobia is exhausting, but so much of it comes from a place of being utterly determined to be uninformed. And with that aggressive unwillingness to learn *anything*, there's just no conversation to be had. Ugh. To Jamie and everyone who watches this video, thank you for being part of changing the conversation and shifting stagnant attitudes. You give me hope that things can change. (Clarification: I'm a cis ally like many here. Doing my best along with fellow allies to shape conversations whenever it's possible... even when it's exhausting.)
It is super tiring. Buuuttt if we find our family, and take internet breaks, sometimes it’s a little easier. The people in real life sometimes don’t deserve the effort we’d have to put in. But do deserve to be called out. We’ll get there.. we’re getting there.. it’s just taking time.
My best friend is trans & had surgery 20 years ago. She is 5'4" (I'm a ciswoman, 5'6"), she takes a shoe size 6 (same as me so we share shoes), she has long, black hair (same colour as me but mine's shorter), she has thick hair (mine is going thin), & her hands are smaller than mine. She is a petite woman, a lot smaller than me & more feminine in every way. She had surgery last year for a health issue & the doctors & nurses kept insisting on a pregnancy test. She kept saying it wasn't necessary & didn't want the NHS to waste money. They wouldn't listen & kept coming back to ask her. She told them she was a transwoman. They misunderstood & carried on asking her to do the test. She explained to them exactly what she meant & why it wasn't necessary (she's also a lesbian). About 10 minutes later the surgeon came in, in a bad mood. He snapped at her that she was wasting everyone's time by not having the pregnancy test. If she didn't have it, he was cancelling the surgery. She told him she'd have it because she was pain & wanted the op, but she'd hoped to not waste time & resources by having a test that wasn't necessary. He then softened his tone, saying he thought she'd been simply obstructive but told her not to worry, he would worry about NHS finances, not her; they needed to do the test because there was a chance the surgery could damage her uterus & it would kill a baby if she were pregnant. She got rather confused, she'd told them she was a transwoman, so she simply said she didn't have a uterus. He then asked her why & when she'd had her hysterectomy as he'd not read it in her notes. She was really confused now, & said she'd never had one. He then asked what condition she had that meant she didn't have a uterus. It turns out they were all convinced she'd been born with a female body & they all assumed she was getting muddled up & was really a transman. They couldn't believe she was a transwoman. If doctors & nurses who have seen you naked cannot tell, how can the man in the street? Yes, there are some trans people who don't pass, usually transwomen who have transitioned later in life, or there might be the odd clue if you look really closely, but these transphobes don't seem to understand that some pass very well. For all they know, their favourite police officer, teacher, doctor or sports Star might be trans & has managed to keep it hidden. They have this warped view of reality & it infects everything they do. My friend has been lucky, she didn't transition until her late 20s. There are no indications of her previous status. I've lost number of the times we've been out together & she's been chatted up by men.
I.......I clicked into this video, and got the most wholesome ad I've ever seen. A Planned Parenthood ad, explaining in very gentle, surface level understanding what HRT and Puberty Blockers are and do. And I just..... I'm crying. From this one ad, this one little thing, that's just that much more light being shone on the situation. So that more women like me don't have to suffer through the worst betrayal of our bodies. So there's the possibility for discussion, for safety and support, for help....and to be seen. Before the understanding is fully there, of what it is we need to be seen. I never thought I'd say this, but this ad just made my day. And I am so very very blessed to have seen it. And to be able to have this perspective I do, to understand what an outstanding step this is in the right direction for so many more like me.
I’ve always been so upset by everything turning into ‘Boys vs Girls’ in school and even now. It’s weird. The Earth was not cleaved into 2 halves of ‘Man and Woman’.

How can it be so hard? I'm a woman and I will celebrate mother's day, I will be a mother one day. But if my friend prefers that it's parent's day for them, I will say happy parent's day. They will still say happy mother's day to me smh.
"How DARE you do something that I might disagree with? Don't you know that only MY opinion on everything counts???" That's how hard it is. No, I don't understand it either.
The thing is, the inclusive language is used at the population level to describe people who menstruate and/or can get pregnant. Saying "pregnant people" when talking about the whole group doesn't affect individual cis women at all, but it can have a huge positive effect on non binary people and trans men who can get pregnant. Why would I want to take that away?

Per that "you got stung by a fish" one, there was a court ruling in California a couple months ago saying that a conservation law should be expanded beyond its previously defined boundaries. Specifically, a law protecting fish was expanded to include various kinds of insects and more specifically Bees. The case is a bit strange, "California declares bees legally fish" was a very common headline that was only a bit misleading.
Came in to say this. It’s not *quite* as weird as it sounds on it’s face - it’s a question of classification that wasn’t particularly well-thought-out. :)
Oh so that's what that was all about. I just looked it up (cuz I'm passionate about pollinators) and that's really great that they're protecting native bees such as bumblebees! Some people might not know this but honey bees are actually invasive in america, and they're spreading diseases and parasites to native pollinators, so native bees need our extra support

I'm trans, I'm a parent. I came out when my oldest was 6. My kids sometimes bring me "mother's day" gifts from school and it's totally fine (they actually understand me better than most adults, and it's more about wanting to make a gift to appreciate me than it is about any gender or familial role). People who think a trans person would yell at a child have never met a trans person. I never yell at anyone, even transphobic people who misgender me on purpose because they just need someone to hate I guess
My dad has always had a hard time with my name and pronouns (I never correct him because I don't want to make him feel bad), but he's getting better since my three year old yelled at him "my mommy is a BOY"
The part about teachers teaching kids pronouns, full heartedly agree. I was a sophomore in high school who didn’t know genders outside of male and female existed. So when people told me they were pan I thought it was the same as bi😭 I’m so much more educated now, but it’s disappointing that I found out so late in life. I even had a trans teacher in sixth grade and I still didn’t understand. I didn’t know liking the same gender existed till about halfway through middle school and still didn’t understand it then. A lot of it was I grew up in a Christian household, but I just wish I was able to be educated sooner and in a way I’d understand.

The "how to draw a trans person" thingo was kinda shocking in that they actually look like real people instead of exaggerated transphobic stereotypes. Not saying it isn't transphobic, just saying it actually doesn't seem entirely fucking stupid.

California used a loophole in state law to say bees are fish in order to extend protections to endangered bees. The law is written in a way that excludes insects, but it describes fish as including "invertebrates" (obvs to catch like shrimp and stuff), therefore the bees are fish for the purposes of protecting them. Is it hilarious? Absolutely. Is the right wing reaction to it possibly even funnier? Also absolutely.

The funny thing about the Toy Story-Meme is that the movie is, in a way, about being who you want to be. In the end, Woody apologizes to Buzz for always telling him what he can or cannot be. And Buzz accepts that, while he "technically" is a toy he can also be something else. So the meme says Woody would be framed as the bad guy "nowadays" for what he says to Buzz. But Woody IS already framed as the bad guy by the movie itself.

The irony of trans women in womens' swimming because women have statistically done better at swimming than men. I'm not saying a trans woman would lose, but I just think it's ironic that out of all the sports men statistically out rank women in, they chose one women are better at lmao
While men tend to be faster at swimming short distances, women are better at endurance swimming, in no small part because typically female bodies are more buoyant than typically male bodies.
When Jamie said "I'm pretty sure most trans people were born." my mind immediately went to the whole "No man born of a woman can defeat me" plot twist from MacBeth and how the loophole was that MacDuff's mum had a c-section and therefore technically didn't properly give birth xD So, yeah sure! I assume there must be some amount of trans guys who came into the world via c-section and therefore technically weren't born xD These might be the mightiest trans guys, too, since they wield the power to defeat MacBeth^^
...I love Macbeth so how did I not make that connection? And being a demigirl who technically wasn't born either makes this even better to me...even if I was never under the "no man" caveat to begin with.
The last meme about Satan creating genders outside of the binary for some reason brought my mind straight to Gargamel creating smurfette and her joining the Smurfs and becoming one of them and being embraced in her uniqueness. I might misremember some of that because I really didn't watch Smurfs much and there might have been a lot more sexist tropes tied to it, but it definitely gave me an immediate positive reaction now and a strategy to reclaim that weird transphobic theory.

The “you got stung by a fish” part is a reference to California’s wildlife association classifying bees as fish so they can be protected. That part is kinda funny, probably the most clever one in the entire video which is why I think whoever made the meme didn’t come up with it themself

My annoyance at these mean spiteful people is completely overwhelmed by my happiness for you and Shaaba. Two wonderful people who combine to make something even more wonderful.
I've got some input on the art thing; I genuinely don't think it came from a bad place. The thing about illustration, cartoons in particular: there's a sort of shorthand artists have historically used to communicate masculine and feminine. Think miss pac-man or mini mouse, add a bow and eyelashes to your male character and bam - female. But it's also things like the geometry of a character design, think Johnny bravo vs Kim Possible. Because of this history, now if an artist wants to communicate trans-ness or androgyny, the only tool we really have to communicate that with a cartoon illustration is swapping those traits around a bit, it does end up somewhat stereotypical, but it's based on the way we've been conditioned to understand masculine and feminine in illustrations, which already had it's own issues in depicting *just* that binary in the first place.
@ bigots in the comments: Shut. * insert seagull meme * Otherwise i will steal your kneecaps and play them like bongo drums while you're trying to sleep.
Yeah, OP definitely has a point, it can be quite hard to communicate gender without those (sometimes stereotyped) things, especially in the more limited cartoon medium.
I'm pretty sure the 'No, you got stung by a fish' thing is a reference to a piece of legislature where bees were classified as fish. This was so they could be protected under existing environmental law, which considering the massive threat they're under, is definitely a help.
Earlier this year, Science Vs (a podcast) released a fantastic episode debunking trans myths. They talk about anti-trans groups, interview actual trans kids, discuss social transitioning, and analyze data about trans athletes that shows how hormones make you perform like the gender you identify with.
Some might already have explained it, but the "you got stung by a bee" is actually kinda funny. Basically, people were trying to protect and endangered species of bee, and for that a lawyer used a law made to protect fish species, arguing that, since fish is'nt really a valid taoxn, it's hard to argue that a bee is'nt a fish.
That one 7 minutes in about the school isn't even teaching about gender identity, it's just teaching grammar and gendered words, and still got these people angry. As for the LGB people being against T and it not making sense, the one I find even less sense is transphobic trans people. That just breaks my brain.
That really makes less sense unless they are dissociating in the extreme. A trans woman is a woman, therefore I'm a woman and because I'm a woman I'm not trans. If that makes sense.

For the love of all that is sweet and good, no kid is on puberty blockers in kindergarten. Unless they're experiencing precocious puberty, which is the rare but serious medical condition puberty blockers were originally developed to treat. In the 1970s. FFS.
@@RiveroftheWither The use of puberty blockers for gender dysphoria is "off label" What to know about off-label drug use Medically reviewed by Dena Westphalen, Pharm.D. - By Jennifer Berry on June 30, 2020 Reasons for use Examples Benefits and risks Considerations Ethics Summary The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approve drugs for certain health conditions. When a doctor prescribes a drug off-label, they are prescribing it for a different condition or at a different dosage than the FDA have approved. Off-label prescribing is common. According to the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, around 20% of all prescriptions in the United States are for off-label use. Taking a drug for an off-label use can be safe and effective. However, there may also be certain risks involved. This article describes why doctors prescribe drugs off-label and lists some examples of drugs that have off-label uses. It also outlines some of the benefits and risks associated with off-label drug use. Why do doctors prescribe them? A doctor may prescribe a drug off-label if a person does not have access to a particular FDA-approved drug. The FDA are the agency responsible for approving and legalizing drugs in the U.S. For a drug to gain FDA approval, the company that make it must send certain information to the FDA. This includes clinical trial information on the following: health conditions that the drug can effectively treat the dosage that people can safely take the populations that they have tested the drug in, such as adults, females, or children evidence showing that the drug is both safe and effective, including the adverse events and side effects it can cause If the FDA approve the drug, doctors may then prescribe it to their patients. However, a doctor does not have to prescribe the drug only for the uses the FDA approve. Doctors have the ability to prescribe drugs for other uses if they feel that it will benefit the patient. Below are some reasons a doctor may prescribe a drug for off-label use: There is no FDA-approved drug available to treat a person’s condition. The drugs that the FDA have approved for a particular condition have not been effective for the person. The drugs that the FDA have approved for a particular condition are too expensive or otherwise inaccessible. A person is unable to take the FDA-approved drug due to side effects or possible interactions with other drugs they are taking. The doctor has seen evidence that a certain drug works well for a particular off-label use. Examples of off-label drug use Doctors prescribe many different drugs for off-label use. Historically, some off-label uses have proven ineffective or harmful. However, others have proven effective and even life changing. The table below lists some FDA-approved drugs alongside their FDA-approved uses and their common off-label uses. FDA-approved drug FDA-approved use Off-label use tamoxifen treating breast cancer treating certain causes of infertility in females spironolactone treating high blood pressure, heart failure, edema, and Conn’s syndrome treating acne vulgaris in females modafinil improving wakefulness in people with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, or shift work sleep disorder treating depression escitalopram treating depression treating bipolar disorder amitriptyline treating depression treating fibromyalgia fluoxetine treating major depressive disorder (MDD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bulimia nervosa treating fibromyalgia venlafaxine treating MDD, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder treating fibromyalgia beta-blockers treating high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, angina, coronary heart disease, heart attack, migraine, and glaucoma treating anxiety Benefits and risks A review from 2006Trusted Source notes that off-label drug use can be a safe and effective treatment option. Even without FDA approval, there may be clinical trials and other evidence demonstrating that a drug works well for an off-label use. This can happen if the drug company decides not to pursue additional drug use approvals due to cost or lack of resources, or if the drug is in the process of receiving FDA approval but they have not yet finalized it. However, off-label prescribing is not always safe. This is especially true if there is a lack of evidence about a drug’s off-label use. One 2009 reviewTrusted Source states that off-label drug use can put people at risk of receiving ineffective or even harmful treatment. To avoid these risks, the authors suggest that doctors only prescribe drugs off-label when they have solid evidence that the benefits outweigh the risks. What to consider When discussing off-label drug use with a doctor, a person should keep the following points in mind: The FDA have not investigated how well the drug works for their particular health condition. There may not be strong medical evidence that supports using the drug for their particular health condition. People with their condition may experience unique side effects while taking the drug. People should also be aware that doctors are not obligated to tell a patient when they are prescribing a drug off-label.
Transphobes don't want to acknowledge that because then they'd be 'forced' to realize that they're wrong about everything involving transition and thus every argument they've made is invalid.

But then secondarily i found that, and btw i was 13 when i started wearin trenchcoats, that this trenchcoat that i wore had a secondary benefit; it rly decreased how often i had the f slur shouted at me from folks, mostly those in trucks drivin past me. And given that only two yrs prior i started to exp that and it rly happened almost monthly and made me hate goin outside even more than i alrdy did... I started to wear that trenchcoat not just to keep the sun off of me but to hide my body from view so that others wud stop harassin me about how much i look like a cross between a man and a woman (im intersex, didnt know it at the time tho; rly glad i didnt know tho, or else id probs have taken T to "fix it" as the docs wudve insisted was the way to go... Esp as id not yet figured out this whole gender thing at all then and simply didnt have access to information about LGBT+ ppl of any kind until i left home. The sun may not have directly made my dysphoria worse, but it did cause me to take actions that made said dysphoria worse. I grew to feel rly disgusted by my body and stopped showin it whenever possible bcuz of the reactions of others, which i noticed stopped when i hid said body. But at the same time, close friend groups where i felt safe and knew i wasnt gonna be harassed for my body shape... Thats where i wud almost always be found in shorts and no t-shirt, or as close to that as i cud get. This is bcuz, again, sensory discomforts. While the trenchcoat felt better on my skin than the sun, its still clothin and in general clothin is a sensory discomfort for me. I trashed that trenchcoat recently when movin and felt so good to finally be rid of it, and to know im free from the past where i felt i had to hide my self to protect my self. Nowadays im in a much better place and can actually enjoy the sun on me (for short periods and with shade available if it becomes overloadin) while wearin short skirts and tank tops if its hot enuf to warrant such for me. And my close friend groups? They still get to see me just bein topless and wearin skirts, shortalls, or just my diaper dependin on how sensory comfortable i want to be; and whether or not i want pockets handy.

Love this post - except for the use of the word “normal”. It kinda helps perpetuate stuff. Don’t think it was meant that way…BUT

Now that's pretty funny.

@@samuelbarber6177 this.

So that more women like me don't have to suffer through the worst betrayal of our bodies. So there's the possibility for discussion, for safety and support, for help....and to be seen. Before the understanding is fully there, of what it is we need to be seen.

The irony of trans women in womens' swimming because women have statistically done better at swimming than men. I'm not saying a trans woman would lose, but I just think it's ironic that out of all the sports men statistically out rank women in, they chose one women are better at lmao
While men tend to be faster at swimming short distances, women are better at endurance swimming, in no small part because typically female bodies are more buoyant than typically male bodies.
genuine question, why are sports even gendered in the first place?
When Jamie said "I'm pretty sure most trans people were born." my mind immediately went to the whole "No man born of a woman can defeat me" plot twist from MacBeth and how the loophole was that MacDuff's mum had a c-section and therefore technically didn't properly give birth xD So, yeah sure! I assume there must be some amount of trans guys who came into the world via c-section and therefore technically weren't born xD These might be the mightiest trans guys, too, since they wield the power to defeat MacBeth^^
Oh, no, I'm a cis woman and I technically wasn't born either 😱
...I love Macbeth so how did I not make that connection? And being a demigirl who technically wasn't born either makes this even better to me...even if I was never under the "no man" caveat to begin with.
It’d be cool to see a “I am no man” Eowyn scenario with a trans woman. “No man can kill me!” “I am no man!” *stabs *

Maybe I should rewatch it. The idea that Smurfs only have one gender in the beginning is kind of intriguing.

CONGRATS ON THE MARRIAGE. Also I love the sweater :)
I've got some input on the art thing;
I genuinely don't think it came from a bad place.

Otherwise i will steal your kneecaps and play them like bongo drums while you're trying to sleep.
That's awesome!
Congrats on getting married, Jamie! Hope you and Shaaba live a happy life together!
First of all, I do apologize, 'cause I paused after a bunch of seconds, but: congratulations for this important step in your life!! Best wishes to you both!! :)

The use of puberty blockers for gender dysphoria is "off label"
What to know about off-label drug use

Summary
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approve drugs for certain health conditions.
This includes clinical trial information on the following:
health conditions that the drug can effectively treat
the dosage that people can safely take
the populations that they have tested the drug in, such as adults, females, or children
evidence showing that the drug is both safe and effective, including the adverse events and side effects it can cause
If the FDA approve the drug, doctors may then prescribe it to their patients. However, a doctor does not have to prescribe the drug only for the uses the FDA approve. Doctors have the ability to prescribe drugs for other uses if they feel that it will benefit the patient.
Below are some reasons a doctor may prescribe a drug for off-label use:
There is no FDA-approved drug available to treat a person’s condition.
Examples of off-label drug use
Doctors prescribe many different drugs for off-label use. Historically, some off-label uses have proven ineffective or harmful. However, others have proven effective and even life changing.
The table below lists some FDA-approved drugs alongside their FDA-approved uses and their common off-label uses.
FDA-approved drug FDA-approved use Off-label use
tamoxifen treating breast cancer treating certain causes of infertility in females
spironolactone treating high blood pressure, heart failure, edema, and Conn’s syndrome treating acne vulgaris in females
modafinil improving wakefulness in people with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, or shift work sleep disorder treating depression
escitalopram treating depression treating bipolar disorder
amitriptyline treating depression treating fibromyalgia
fluoxetine treating major depressive disorder (MDD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and bulimia nervosa treating fibromyalgia
venlafaxine treating MDD, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and social anxiety disorder treating fibromyalgia
beta-blockers treating high blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, angina, coronary heart disease, heart attack, migraine, and glaucoma treating anxiety
Benefits and risks
A review from 2006Trusted Source notes that off-label drug use can be a safe and effective treatment option.
What to consider
When discussing off-label drug use with a doctor, a person should keep the following points in mind:
The FDA have not investigated how well the drug works for their particular health condition.
As a cis gay guy, we do support you in our community don't listen to transphobic people

4:33 Something my mother does a lot is when my father says something ever a teensy bit rude is say "don't mind him, he grew up around liberals", but as an adult, I can now see that not all Karens are liberals and vice versa. 8:47 This tho but in a diff way heh. Sunlight is a sensory discomfort for me and in the past i didnt have as good of means of accomodatin my other sensory discomforts... So i always wore a trenchcoat firstly to hide my skin from the sunlight.
The bee being a fish thing was about how California used a loophole in the definition of what a fish was to fit bees under it so they could have the proper environmental protection
