They are great for hair algae. One of the few that will eat it and the algae stays pretty much in one area so they can feast on it pretty eas y compared to other algae’s. The biggest reasons to keep shrimp in a tank is they are always picking up uneaten foods and they don’t creat as much ammonia as fish per food load making them great for reducing tank maintenance. You’ll need lots of them especially since 1/2 will die in first few days or weeks but they do a great job at eating decaying things which in turn helps keep nitrates down. They are a living version of a chemipure pouch working 24/7 to remove organics from the tank.

I've never seen yellowish ghost shrimp before
I have many ghost shrimp and now some are turning a milky white color don’t seam to be haven any problems but just look different
I’m sure you’ve learned by now but as they age they turn white and die. They only have about a year live span.
Amano shrimp are NOT ghost shrimp. They are different species. Glass shrimp, grass shrimp are names for ghost shrimp. You should correct the title
