Kris was unfortunately involved in the Westminster bridge attack in 2017, where Kris lost the function of his legs and sustained spinal cord injuries. Even after all the hardship Kris has endured he still has the heart to get himself out and play golf despite the difficulties he faces. This is why Kris invited me to try out the paragolfer vehicle, in order to understand how hard it can be for impaired golfers to play our sports. I've got cervical myelopathy which is spinal cord damage my limbs are affected but I'm still able bodied,I've been feeling a bit sorry for myself ,this channel always gives me a lift and I'm getting back into golf as a result of Liam ,Mr Barlow, Josh,Lee,and O.M.P inspiring me to do so and i thank you all for your efforts in making great videos, especially this one, what a top bloke Chris is,I have a couple of things in common with him in both being spurs fans who's favourite player is Ledley king or Lesley king for Liam 😂,what I haven't got in common with Chris is his resilience and refusal to quit in circumstances which are far worse than mine, thanks for today's lesson and the motivation it has given me to get my act together.

In the USA, I have hit more barriers to go enjoy a round than I would like to admit. But that only pushes me to work toward greater acceptance of handicapped golfers here. Would love to play a round with Chris but even more share a pint with a great guy!
Amazing I was playing today and one hole behind me was a chap with a missing leg (left). He would get to his ball using crutches then drop them and address the ball standing on one leg. Remarkable balance and surprisingly a good golfer. Just watched the rest of his story, not often we get the follow up to terrorist attacks. My heart goes out to this guy. But I can’t cheer on the spurs the line has to be drawn somewhere! 👍👍👍👍
Liam let the golf mates know how we can support the disabled golf charity I would be in for a fund raising day….as an aside I played in Majorca about 15 yrs ago with a guy who only had one arm his right missing and he had the most beautiful languid swing ….battered me I think he won 5 and 4 both off 17….👍

I had my first experience with this incredible machine already 1996 in Germany. This time I met a South African golfer, former PGA player who lost the function of his leg due to a car accident. He told me he invented this fantastic vehicle together with the University of Cologne. After playing a few rounds with him at Düsseldorf Meerbusch Golfclub I lost the contact to him. Years later I learned that he suffered additionally of MS and died beginning of the 21st century. I never forgot this experience. Luckily I met another guy with a machine in ST Tropez at the Sainte Maxime 2020 first time playing a round of golf with him. Joining the same flight I met my future new love (fiance) playing with us. So the machine even was my match maker. cheers

Once again this is why GolfMates is a special community! Kris is a remarkable person and it gives us all the inspiration to overcome almost anything life throws at us. I personally have not been able to play golf for the last year due a disease in my right hand. In two weeks going in for the second surgery to hopefully allow me to get back out there. This guy is a star liam. I had a serious accident back in 2004 I also do not remember the incident due to the brain choosing to forget it. I broke my arm. I had bowel removed. I have lots of scars and I owe it all to the air ambulance and lots of amazing doctors. This guy is an inspiration to us all. “COME ON YOU SPURS”. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What a great inspiration. It hits so close to home since I’ve been playing with one hand ever since I’ve been playing golf. We have to make adjustments and remember we are not able to swing like all of the instruction videos. It’s a challenge but it makes me love playing even more. Once again this is why GolfMates is a special community! Kris is a remarkable person and it gives us all the inspiration to overcome almost anything life throws at us. I personally have not been able to play golf for the last year due a disease in my right hand. In two weeks going in for the second surgery to hopefully allow me to get back out there. Come on you Spurs. What an inspiration. After what happened to him, it is good he developed a good attitude. IT is easy to get down on yourself when your life gets really turned around. It is not what happens to you, but about what you do afterwards.

This guy is a star liam. I had a serious accident back in 2004 I also do not remember the incident due to the brain choosing to forget it. I broke my arm. I had bowel removed. I have lots of scars and I owe it all to the air ambulance and lots of amazing doctors. This guy is an inspiration to us all. “COME ON YOU SPURS”. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

What a great inspiration. It hits so close to home since I’ve been playing with one hand ever since I’ve been playing golf. We have to make adjustments and remember we are not able to swing like all of the instruction videos. It’s a challenge but it makes me love playing even more. Golf mate videos makes me laugh and I watch them while I’m playing to remind me to enjoy playing. Good luck Chris and keep on playing.

As a golfer, with little to no health challenges, see a fellow golf brethren, in a condition that this man is in, steps up and walks-the-walk...I take a step back and say: There walk a man with a spirt we all should strive for. Given every golfer has a "handicap", I can think of no better sport to bring all of us "handicappers" together - which makes this sport so uniquely special. I hadn't heard of the Cairns Cup before seeing this video; I look forward to watching it...and cheering on Team USA! :D
