Could also be a moth since I think they use silk as well! I’m hype to see it. I think it’ll be in the new trailer we get for opening night. One more week of waiting!
Had to watch my boys breakdown! In the charge blade video I'm surprised you didn't notice that she's wearing a spider outfit, and the charge blade is from the same monster. When she's holding the axe out you can see the webbing between the axe that's what's holding it together bro.
I did notice, but it was EARLY in the morning for me these release 3an in my timezone. I also think we’ll get the answer when we see the new trailer. Could also be a moth monster since they use silk as well and this looks different than Rakana and Nercylla!
Looking forward to dual blades. The weapon that carried me through world base game. Carried me through Iceborne somewhat too, but I really switched between weapons during that because the dlc monsters were on another level compared to base game. Also, now that we can carry 2 weapons with us, I'm going full dex mode with DB and LS xD. Assuming I can play the game and it doesn't completely cook my pc
10:17 what? No, that's definitely not new, it's just they morphed into axe before charge shield, like how in GU you can't shortcut to charge shield in some styles
You could always charge shield from axe mode like that, or are you saying this is from one of the styles in GU. Admittedly I played CB the least in GU so if it’s from GU I probably missed out on it and thought it was new.
@@Jaycan Thanks for your answer! It's super cool that you speak a little French! I discovered your channel by chance thanks to this video! Your channel is super cool! We'll get along well for sure! haha LONG LIVE MONSTER HUNTER 😁
One thing i've realized is that CB is approaching more to a string based combat Charge -> Axe Swing -> AED -> Axe Swing -> Repeat till Phial depletion Which could be really cool, momentum for Charge Blade is gonna be super important and hopefully they bring back Phial Build up with Savage Axe so that the combos get even longer
That seems to be the theme for the entire weapon roster tbh. More fluidity and less rigidity. More options for the player will lead to more skill expression I’m loving what I’ve seen so far tbh.
Yes I waiting for charge blade I also started in tri and was playing bow and dual blades but when charge blade and Insekt glove came out those two were my favorites
Yea it’s looking SICK. LS is going to reign supreme in popularity once again. I just hope that the math ends up balanced, so we don’t have another base Rise situation where LS was easily the strongest choice.
Kinda surprising that the CB trailer was so tame, I was sure we'd see some crazy Swiss army knife transforming shenanigans. Guess they're saving it for SA?
Maybe! SA has more questions to answer. Will Soaring Wyvern Blade return? What about the compressed charge counter?! Either one of those takes the SA in different directions!
Yes, not a lot of people I saw caught that. The first spirit combo looks more mobile but, between spirit hit 3 and the round slash, it looks like balahara bites the hunter and there's a visual effect letting them ignore the hit to finish the combo. All the hits there are just the spirit combo, you hear the iconic sound design of those attacks each time. Looks like tehere's a move that costs spirit meter that lets you reposition better. Red meter giving extra hits to attacks and extended animations is interesting, it's like red buff on ig. That combo in red with extra hits is a normal combo. People in that closed demo did say that helm splitter had a follow up. They never said whether they were in red or not, just that they say that new follow up to helm breaker. The extra hits in red seam to be to encourage you to stay in red more, not just stay in yellow basically and go to red just to immediately helm breaker, back to yellow, and repeat. Bit sad that they do a guard point animation but do it too soon and they are so close that the attack would be behind them so they have to reposition. Honestly would have told them to do another take of that clip. Nice touch showing the phial filling animation again, then showing charging the shield followed up by charging the sword as an extension of that move. Yeah the backwards S between the icons weirded me out too. I also considered that it may be a really weird stylized 2. That tiny hit with the sword to the butt may be the sneak attack, some said it was an underwhelming wound breaker for sword mode. When we finally see the SAED at the end, that looks like the phials are closer together. Smaller, more concentrated, AOE so it's easier for all of them to hit the head or the best elemental hit zone. At the end too, a friend pointed this out, just before the SAED there is a regular axe attack and what looks like a guard point between those attacks.
Yea there is a lot going on under the hood with these two that’s easy to miss if you don’t have experience playing this weapons. It’s looking like they’re aiming for more fluidity over all in the move sets. I’m loving it tbh!
Good night from Malaysia Jay you saw that saed this my favorite😍 I play cb in mhrise and sunbreak omg tht pretty armor Jay you c tht right nnnnnn I'm first one her again Jay 😂😂❤❤❤❤I'm in love 🤣🤣I also ply cb in mhw my favorite 😊😊can't wait 😮
CB is looking amazing! I’m so glad your main was done justice here! I can’t wait for a playable online demo! Gonna do some streams hopefully and play with all of you!
@@JaycanI noticed you use the mouse to rewind a lot, if you don't know J (rewinds 10sec) ,K (pause) and L (fast forwards 10 sec) and for small jumps use the left and right arrow keys to go forward and back 5 seconds and when the video is paused you can use the full stop and comma to go through single frames forward and back. I hope this helps if you didn't already know that is😅(never mind my dumbass didn't even realize you were using them too 😂 gotta forgive me, its the day after my 22 birthday party, brain clearly hasn't caught up 😅😂)
sneak attacks are most likely just hitting the monster when they aren't aware. they show us in the 'basic mechanics' video, gs using an uncharged slash to sneak attack a monster which causes the same flinch that we see here and in the gs showcase trailer. whats more interesting is both of these moves that are being mistaken for sneak attack are both the second to last clip of the video, in every weapon showcase trailer, the second to last clip has universally been a new move for a weapon, that is also cut very short to only see the attack itself so we can't see what comes before it and raises the question of what inputs are left for this move to be performed by anyone maining the weapon. gs using a wide slash from neutral instead of being locked behind charging into tackle is a very power option but thats a whole other essay
Yea I’m really trying to verify a theory that only weapons that can block get clash attacks so I was looking for a sword mode clash attack to see if that theory is right.
The armor showcases for the LS Doshuguma and CB looking GORGEOUS alongside confirming a brand new spider monster which is awesome.
Could also be a moth since I think they use silk as well! I’m hype to see it. I think it’ll be in the new trailer we get for opening night. One more week of waiting!
Or the third weird option of a random Wyvern that spits webs for some reason and not a bug
@@Jaycan Honestly I may prefer a more moth like monster since I don't think we've had one like that. Could make for a really cool fight.
That’s what I’m saying!
