I absolutely agree with you when you say country is not country any more! I've turned on my car and thought one of my sons changed my country station only to realize the song playing was considered country. I get it.
The last scene showed a woman running with a picknic bascket. Im assuming that was the mom. As far as tim mcgraw songs. Can u do “speak to a girl” its tim and his wife faith hill singing
Well, I'm surprised she got through it without crying because I sure didn't! By the way, well, written song. Some of those Nashville writers have songwriting down to a craft, hooks, clever twists in meanings, the payoff in the last part of the story. People don't realize, it takes a lot of practice for those staff writers on Music Row to craft songs like these 'on demand' day after day! Rock groups just write songs when they are inspired, on a whim or when they feel like it. And many times, there's no real story, just putting some lyrics to some cool melody or song with a great guitar riff that they came up with. I can tell you, staff writers in Nashville have their songwriting craft scrutinized under very strict criteria and are subject to really high expectations from their employers to write hit songs or at least something that merits an album cut! A song like "Don't Take The Girl" is what those in the music biz call, a "Top shelf song"! It will stand out on the first listen and keeps your attention all the way through. I can 'promise' you, when the demo was heard for this tune, they knew it was a hit!
She lives at the end. Don't understand how these kids can be smiling at the end, but say how sad it is... Dust must get into eyes from the first chorus on...😢 There's a few reaction videos of this song that pretend to be emotional about this song, but are smiling all thru it. Sad really
I have to agree with others regarding the story. If you were just to hear the song you might conclude that she died, except for one thing. Each verse ends in a positive way for the girl, she got to go fishing, she was not taken or hurt by the stranger and so this leads me to believe she lived. Once you see the video, it is even more reinforced because at the end you see Johnny and his father fishing and then you see the mother running to them with the picnic basket. Again giving the impression that the the writer (or at least the creator of the video) intended for us to believe the mother lived.
I was born in the late 60's, I listened to 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, & 90's, and then I quit. The music just doesn't grab you, move you, make you think, and touch reality the way it used to, and I'll say this much, it's because the entertainers now (yeah right) are out of touch with reality.
some suggestion 1) Country Chris Stapleton - I was wrong Chris Stapleton - Tennessee Whiskey Chris Stapleton - Sometimes I Cry 2) Sexy/seductive song Two Feet - I Feel Like I'm Drowning Rosenfeld - Do It For Me Black Atlass - Kinda Like It Isak Danielson - Power 3) Soft/Hard Rock Alter Bridge - Watch Over You - Live in Amsterdam Skillet - Awake and Alive Linkin Park - Faint enjoy and have a nice day
Mom is in the picture at the end running and carrying the picnic basket. I didn't catch that the first few times I watched the video. The song though leaves you with the loss of mom, I prefer the video and it's final outcome.
Nice country song! Emotional fer sure! If you can, try Brooks and Dunn's song, "Believe". It's a soulful, meaningful country song you will remember for the rest of your life. THX! Geo
Challenge for both of you to watch James Blunt's "Monsters." Tim McGraw sang one called "If you're reading this" about the soldiers in Iraq that's another tearjerker.
If u ask me Luke Combs style of country and music writing is bringing the Brooks and Dunn/Garth Brooks style of country back. Im an 81 baby and grew up with all the old stuff. Just my opinion.
Tbh back then I was calling contemporary country.....rural pop. With a few exceptions. I didn't consider it "real country" back then. Going off the video she survived. As she was running up on them with the picnic basket. The song itself never gives the results of any time he asked "don't take the girl.". So it really ends however you want it to.
Yes, she lived and is enjoying a picnic with them. Have you done Keith Urban's, Blue Ain't Your Color. A beautiful song and I think you'll like it even if you don't care for him!
Jamie stonebreaker you are absolutely right that was the mom with the picnic basket behind the dad and little boy they were going fishing at the same fishing spot they were at when they were 8 Johnny and the girl that is
It started with Kenny Chesney & his Pukka Shell necklace & Rascal Flatts. Country music died a slow painful death and now all we are left with is Sam Hunt, Florida Georgia Line & litany of other "artist" that I can't differentiate because they sound identical.
Ok guys here is the video type Michael Jackson Captain Eo movie u guys will love this this video is a must watch!!! Its close as thriller sold ao much world wide as well i believe Orlando Florida or idk they had a movie theater showing this it closed down tho but oh man they had a 3d showing ok enough of my talking check it out😎❤u guys
Also y’all wanna see a fire MJ Performance I’ll suggest React to Michael Jackson “BAD” Live In Oslo 1992 and you should also do the Full Short Film/Music Video👑🔥💯
All of the reactors just don't get it. SHE LIVED. That's her with the picnic basket at the end going ti meet grown up Johnny and their son to go fishing
You need to check out some independent young artists: Tyler Childers Seth Anthony Jimmy Rose Morgan Wallen Sturgil Simpson Colter Wall Warren Zeiders Hunter Price Larry Fleet Chayce Beckham Kolton Moore
Hey there, Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong, I discovered your channel this week. 👍 You think this is a sad song? Give a listen to “What Hurts the Most” by Rascal Flatts. “Jesus Takes the Wheel” by Carrie Underwood, Little Moments by the “ hilarious” Brad Paisley. The video is sweet and funny about relationships, and “Belive” by Brooks and Dunn. ( you’ll need tissues, a lot of tissues). These are a few favs of mine. When Country music COOL. Somewhere down the road can you react to Sugarland “Want To” & “Babygirl”. Lead singer Jennifer Nettles vocals are supreme. She has this amazing twang when she sings. Enough said. ❤️❤️❤️ Have an awesome day. 😀😁😁
Tim McGraw; Live like you were dying If you're reading this Something like that Anything by" Hardy Laney Wilson Chris Stapleton Darius Rucker LeeAnn Womack I believe by Brooks and Dunne
Hi! Just subbed. I think he's right ,the only good country today are Tim plus all those like him that started in the 90's early 2000's that are still generating hits like Tim McGraw. Please react to Tim & Faith Hill's " How to speak to a girl" or to anything from Chris Stapleton. Y'all sound like a fun couple, looking forward. Like the diversity, keep it up.
Check out Midland they have that 90s and 80s sound and their very first album was I believe 2017/2018 not sure If you look there's a lot of great modern country I mostly agree with him butt there's some good true country songs but there is a lot of pop and Hip-Hop garbage as well
She shows up with the picnic basket at the end... She’s alive.
Why do none of them see that?
What I always wondered is...why is she a brunette at the end but the rest of the video she is a blonde? 🤷🏻♀️
@@Cynderellee it's also 8 years down the road, and she looks considerably younger then he.
No one cares..its better to think she didnt
She's in heaven, my dude.
People that grew up on Hank and Dolly thought 90s country wasn't country. Seems to always be evolving.
I like older country 100 times better than new country
I absolutely agree with you when you say country is not country any more!
I've turned on my car and thought one of my sons changed my country station only to realize the song playing was considered country. I get it.

My wife and I have never had kids together but this always brings tears to my eyes. Just the thought of losing my wife is enough to make me cry.
Y’all’s country reaction is what keeps me coming back. Keep on keeping on
I love this song . And in the video, she didnt die. If you look closely at the end of the video , the girl is the one that is running down the hill.
I love both old and new country music
I agree 1000% with him
Mother survived. Last scene was her running to join them fishing

Great reaction guys! First time watching but not the last. You two are funny lol...

Your a beautiful young lady and thank you for making my eyes happy
If you want older country that wasn't sad look up John Michael Montgomery. He has some of my all time favorites like Lifes a dance and Sold.
Country is more like pop than country now. I miss the old country. Nothing is filling that gap at the moment.
Well I guess you understand when your grandpa says that's not music, and you actually like it . So basically you're turning into your grandfather.
She's cold !!!
The very very end she runs across the screen with a picnic basket in her hand, she lived!!
We need MJ Live Performances!!!!!😅🙌🏽👑❤️💕🔥

On the country station here, they have nineties at noon
The country music of today sounds like the pop music of yesterday. Sad!
I luv and like county songs like Tim McGraw...alan Jackson...toby Keith...and some other....
Modern Country = Bad Rock
Mom is in the picture at the end running and carrying the picnic basket. I didn't catch that the first few times I watched the video. The song though leaves you with the loss of mom, I prefer the video and it's final outcome.
she was at the end running to them ,watch again at the end
The lady in blue flannel shirt at the end of the video loves fishing. She's been fishing since she was a little girl.
She lived
She lives, that's her running with the picnic basket
I think that's a baby carrier. There is a better view in the original video.
Nice country song! Emotional fer sure! If you can, try Brooks and Dunn's song, "Believe". It's a soulful, meaningful country song you will remember for the rest of your life. THX! Geo
she lived
that was johnny and son ,she was running in the blue shirt at the end scene
Its more country rock now
She was in the last scene with a picnic basket.
THERE ARE STILL SOME OUT THERE KEEPING TRUE COUNTRY ALIVE. IT JUST NOT MOSTLY WHAT YOU HEAR ON THE RADIO
Loved your reactions. IN the end she did live. So it was a happy ending. Check out Indian Outlaw.
Challenge for both of you to watch James Blunt's "Monsters." Tim McGraw sang one called "If you're reading this" about the soldiers in Iraq that's another tearjerker.
Everyone look at 6:26. That’s Johnny wife. God answer his prayers and save her. The little boy was named Johnny jr
If u ask me Luke Combs style of country and music writing is bringing the Brooks and Dunn/Garth Brooks style of country back. Im an 81 baby and grew up with all the old stuff. Just my opinion.
This would have been when I was young......and now I feel old.
More than one a day please...
Listen to the song you might think she died, watch the video and watch it close, the girl's alive.
Need to hear Tell me I was dreaming by Travis Tritt. Another tear jerker
A lot of Country out there 😃
David Allen COE The Ride
Tbh back then I was calling contemporary country.....rural pop. With a few exceptions. I didn't consider it "real country" back then.
Going off the video she survived. As she was running up on them with the picnic basket. The song itself never gives the results of any time he asked "don't take the girl.". So it really ends however you want it to.
Yes, she lived and is enjoying a picnic with them. Have you done Keith Urban's, Blue Ain't Your Color. A beautiful song and I think you'll like it even if you don't care for him!
Chris Stapleton is fantastic 👏
She came running up at the end. johnny had a son named him Johnny and he and his wife was taking him fishing

Maybe try If You're Reading This by Tim McGraw. Also That's How Much I Feel by Ambrosia or the song Diary by Bread.
She lived...she was running towards them as the video ends.
Yeah but without the video it’s left up to the listener to decide whether she lives or dies.
It is hard not to cry
Are you guys on social media Instagram, Twitter or Facebook
Didn’t y’all see her running into the picture in the plaid shirt at the last second?
You should react to Pantera - Cemetery Gates, I think you’ll both will like that song 🤘🏻

Mom did live BTW
Wrong...she didn't die. She was the woman running in the end.
