This man knows music.
I am not a massive fan of vaporwave nowadays(I'm more of a metalhead). But something about George Clanton just sticks with you. He is more than just a vaporwave musician. He is a musical genius.

He has said that he associates himself with vaporwave as a way to market himself, instead of a source of inspiration for his music.
I remember hearing this in my sophomore year of highschool during the 2 hour long morning bus rides. At times I would be freezing my balls off but hearing this album over now does bring back memories when I'd take the best naps on a bus if I didn't get enough sleep the night before.

@@himbourbanist Yeah, it was that long because it was a transfer station, so the school bus would have to indivisualy pick up a kid from a different neighborhood, drive to the station, wait, then hop onto the bus that would actually take you to school. And when the day eneded, it was the same process but in reverse.

I feel old now
I remember when my grandmother was in the hospital when I was a kid we would always play this song for her, and when she was in hospice. My whole family gathered around and played 100% Electronica and also "I Would Walk 500 Miles" and even though my grandmother was in a medically-induced coma 23 hours a day it always made her be more responsive.
I found george last year during my depression, and his music really did put a smile on my face when nothing else did. I hope you still open up for the garden! I have my ticket just waiting
I think the first time I heard George Clanton was with "200% Electronica" like 3 years ago.
Then I got into "Slide", which was pretty much my soundtrack to a failed love.
I can't believe that I never listened to this album before, which was right under my nose. I absolutely love it. It's so comforting and dreamy. Hits you right in the feels.

Man I had this album on repeat when it came out! personally think he's one of the God fathers of the synthwave era, I'll occasionally listen to it just too think of the good times when I was a kid.
i guess we've grown up so fast... but yes, i agree george clanton is a pioneer into what may be the biggest musical revolution of our day and age.

@@a.c.7573 dude esprit rules. once i dived into georges discography, i realized i had stumbled upon esprit quite a few times. i remember accidentally clicking on girls only when i was like 9, and because i was a staunch pink floyd and led zepp "born in the wrong generation" kid, i didn't want people to know i was listening to electronic music, so i didn't say anything. from there i discovered mac +, the vapor memory yt channel, 2814, and late night delight. mind you i was like 10. then i just kind of forgot about vaporwave until i got some random pad chennington video in my recommended about 1 or 2 years ago and i fell right back in. honestly considering getting a tattoo of the statue on the cover of floral shoppe because of how much vaporwave has shaped my life. either that, or a tat of the phone on this album. sorry for rambling haha

First heard this particular album during c o v i d and something about it just hit different. Its got the nostalgia, the lofi, the feel of vaporwave but it goes beyond and just feels unique. A lot of layers and textures that bring up all sorts of emotions, but there is an overall feeling of peace and triumph.
