01 Organon
I’m one
My blood
I owe
I bear
The past
My heirs
I owe
I bear
(bis)
When I smell sweet hay
Peace of mind comes
Distant land I’m from
Honey & sun
Oh, I relieve it
Where I was born
Oh, I can feel it
In the storm
02 Oh Dove
You’re not done
You just broke a bone
Oh dove
You’re not the one that’s gone
To be ours
Like the trees on our shores
All tweezed
The cliffs eat away at our knees
On my knees
I’ll be the one to tell your story, don’t say you’re sorry, you rest and heal
You used to be my spear without fear, you had the will
I want to give you time, give you mine, until you heal
You used to speed your way through the fields, but now you’re still
Soon we’ll roam
There’ll be shade once more
We’ll stray
Oblivious of boats sailing home
Sailing home
03 Sugar
I ran out of made up consolations
I’ve been waiting forever
How can you call me with such conviction?
“Sugar cane, sugar “
You get yourself out of situations
Won’t you leave me, won’t you?
‘Cause I don’t have the time for indignations
“Sugar cane, sugar”
It goes on and on and on
And it goes on and on and on again
(bis)
Can you find just one thing you cherish?
Would you hold me just like you mean it?
Am I the one with much imagination?
Give me one reason
As it gets older,
You keep pulling and pushing away
But you never promised me
To be wiser or better
04 Sorbitol
Took a Flintstone pill
Pantry uphill
Curtain child within
My teens, our dreams
Ride through Hyrule fields
Roaming scuffing
Mileage on my bike breezing
The freedom
I enjoyed through flames
I owe it
Mother and bygones
Remember
Days that gave me aim,
So I can feel the same
I don’t know about your love
I don’t know about your past
Things I did have brought me shame, and pride
Alas, I don’t know about your past
05 Tree Among Shrubs
You make no sound
As folks gather ‘round,
Like shadow hounds
Eyes seem unsound
As folks gather ‘round
And please you aloud
And I now believe that no one asked
About your secret past
The pain to match your strength
And I now believe that no one thought
You had a lonely past
The pain and strengths so vast
From mellow seas,
To houses on wheels,
To slabs in West lands,
Hand in hand
From yellow bills,
To slabs in West lands,
Like bones in your hands
But I see a tree that's standing high among the shrubs
So only one hand may rest its palm upon my cheeks
The only one that I'll need
To know why no one asked
About your secret past
The pain to match your strength
And I now believe that no one thought
You had a lonely past
And pain to match your vein
When it rains
07 Serenade of water
Slow, we all slowly move
“Just like a river’s flow… never ends” gentle
How long,
Go slow on me
No longer young
Hold on to thee
I’m where I belong
Go slow on me
Hold that we’re bond
In truth
Go slow on me
Slow on me
(bis)
Be My Love
Once more
Tears and joys together
Tweeds and stones, our past our tether
Be My Love
Once more
Springs and hail we weather
Gentle
08 5AM Waltz
Don’t Say Much
I know I
Don’t Own Much
I Know I
(bis)
09 Always Lone
I’m not someone
You take away and leave alone
I’m not the one
To shy away and moan
And though I am
A deeply flawed human
I feel the shame
When you lay your eyes on me with pain
It’s not hard to see you’re getting cold
Oh, bring me home
Where I’m proud
Where the scales are plane
And It’s sane
We can play your game
Such a cruel way
To keep you entertained
It’s hard to see who gains
And who plays
I’d rather be the one who got fooled
Than to have my heart cooled
I always care
Always lone,
Always lone,
10 Ante Meridiem
Slide
Staring high
Dolly cam
Fixing light
Must be ‘live
And I'm breathing
Lost in time,
I'm fine
And I'm feeling
And I'm bleeding
“Same”
“We're the same”
“Different times”
Near my bed
Passing friend
11 Lifelong Song
Three times the echoes of my name
How could someone not turn insane
What made you leave, what made you go,
Long road, long time ago,
Whistling your lifelong song
Solace is your lifelong song
(bis)
You fenced yourself from the crowd
Black water, far as eyes can see,
Clear metal taste in your mouth
Nights howl,
Are you invited or not, ‘till dawn?
Three times the echoes of my name
Can one man be an island
I want to leave, I want to go,
A long way, like you taught me so,
12 Shoulders
Time, won’t you ease my shoulders?
They got here unsafe
Winter’s monsters adopted my place
I don’t know how you’ve been
I don’t know who she is but I can tell
She’s ‘got delicate hands
That must dance around you with the grace
Of a free bird
Of a song
Time won’t you ease me?
I wonder if you’re still waiting with
Pride for the sun, for the one
To tell you to go to sleep
Of a bird
Of a song
Of a bird

Sorry man, but You'll Never Get To Heaven...
Driss have mercy
i’m so excited, i’ve had oncle jazz on repeat for a whole year
SAME OMG
SAME
SAME OMFG
You deserve this ~
"You're listening to... Oncle Jazz..."
Every time I hear "Men I Trust" I get the feeling I can die in peace. Even though things aren't okay, it's like they're going to be okay in the end.
check out Alaskalaska, their song Familiar Ways is very much like what you described; foreboding and soothing at the same time.
💖
Someone should dub some alan watts talking over their music
The bass on this album absolutely fucking slaps
I adore Jessy's Bass lines in general, they're so groovy
Wiggly, noodly, funky... it truly is something else
Amazing bass. Amazing
This album feels like a rainy, foggy morning right before your life is about to change forever
thats it
yup that's it. very accurate... very
its the feeling you get when it is raining outside ,you have online school, drinking something warm like coffee or something else and paying attention to things that aren't school
This... was pretty much how the first few days of the pandemic were for me.
Yeesh...
Men I Trust really said “Let’s take all we learned in our previous albums, distill it’s essence, and start from the beginning to create one of the greatest indie records of all time”.
exactly this💜
Exactly ! It sounds similar to Oncle Jazz in a way but like 1000x more polished and detailed
It sounds the same lol, I like it thou.
This album just might be my favorite out of their discography
I stamp that... So far
never known a band who can balance remaining fiercely independent, sticking to their own terms and their own principles, while remaining inclusive, friendly, and welcoming to all
their music is like a friend covering you with a blanket and setting a glass of water next to you at the end of a heavy night
They have an air of authenticity and genuine kindness about them that's rare in the music world. You can feel that beautiful energy come through in everything that they do. They're truly one of a kind!
Fantastically written, mate. Dare I say Kero Kero Bonito fits that mold as well.
I’m pregnant with my first child, and as she wiggles and kicks me in my tummy, I think about how I will soon be giving my entire life to my baby. It’s an exciting moment but it feels just like this album. Every time I play it it’s so bittersweet that when my baby is all grown up I’ll get flashbacks to me listening this album on repeat in 2021.
That's weird
Life will continue to change, but nothing can take away these memories you're having now. Enjoy them.
@ these songs are eternal brother
@ not necessarily, believe me....
@@hourslookingsideways7850 that´s one side of it and then you see your baby grow up and evolve - my daughter outet herself (not surprisingly) as a boy three years ago and every now and then i realize: the love has not dimished for even one millimeter (is that how you measure love, haha) - life is great!
anyway, this is an utterly beautiful album and i´m glad i found it... :-)
love and greetings
this is the band i trust.

There is a unique mood in this album that I haven’t found anywhere else

Hauntingly beautiful nostalgia on a cozy, rainy day
hypnø
YES
The instrumentals are so flipping unique it's like the music you hear in between space-time travel
Men I trust's music is like a painting that you keep staring at, entranced and you keep noticing more beautiful things about it. I can't wait for new sounds!!
Fuck Kanye right now.. he jumpin 4real.. but this is better
Just heard the ringing sound in 5am waltz in my new headphones and it’s amazing
There's music you like because it's popular, because the looks, the lyrics, the history, someone special or because they're great musicians. Then there's the music that touches your soul, that's it right here folks.
When I first heard Men I Trust, they weren't the type of music genre I generally listen to, but they're creativity just pulled me in.. but this album, just made them go to the top of my favorites list. They stayed within their realm, but also went out on a limb and its perfect!!!
When I first heard Men I Trust they weren't even the same genre they are now. They were more like soft-indie rock.
This came out when I first started college. This album was exactly how I felt about starting adulthood. A foggy reminiscence to the past, a tired yet upbeat feeling. The feeling of seeing the world as it actually is at the moment and gratefully accepting you as you are all in truth. This album will forever be a blanket that shys away my newfound adult responsibilities for at least 30 mins 💗
When you first started college? Guy's getting all wistful about an album that came out 10 months ago.
@@MortonSeinfeld yes I am. :)
@@MortonSeinfeld he started college 10 months ago...

One of the most unique, beautiful bands of the last decade
When I listen to this I'm kind of happy and sad at the same time. Melancholic at it's best. This album feels like my past teenage years where I couldn't sleep, sat by my open window all night, secretly smoking cigarettes so my parents wouldn't know and looking at the stars only in my underwear some oversized a hoodie a random boy borrowed me and my cozy socks. I felt alone and was graving someone to share this moment with but in the end I was happy to have this moment all by myself because I knew no-one could ever experience this moment as I did. And that also made me happy and sad at the same time.
This album has one of the best openings (Organon) I’ve ever listened. Men I Trust can only get better. ❤️
I'm a bit speechless after hearing Organon, to be honest. Zero 7 (Destiny, Waiting Line) had a poignancy I didn't think could go deeper.
We all have been waiting for this since 2019!!
This album feels like the three of them have accepted exactly how they want to express themselves. And it is appreciated by these two ears
banger
wtf
banger indeed
You definitely have one of the songs ever
Bbno$
Borgir
"Sugar" is probably one of my favorites. That sweet bassline gives it the perfect seasoning!
And Emma's vocals are softer than cotton candy. What a wonderful song!
'Sugar' is lowkey already at my top three best MIT songs ever.
@@matheuss886 Honestly same, this is overall a great album but Sugar is easily my favourite
This is the kind of album you can just leave on all day on repeat and not have to skip a single song
fr
This album makes me feel like I'm walking through an abandoned velvet curtain factory
haha that’s a way to describe it
bro listen to it while stoned, omg its beautiful and so sad at the same time
@@gasparcarlos13 e x a c t l y, this whole album sounds so haunted

Love this band!

I can’t explain how their music makes me feel 😩
Looking forward to listening to this work of art, what a thrill I feel.
Same... :)
Most anticipated release in a long time.
Can’t believe I have the privilege of seeing this album live
Seeing them play live is even more amazing. I got the privilege of seeing them in a tiny venue right up close and personal. Never forget it
This has to be one of the best albums of 2021 and a breakthrough in indie music. Men I Trust were really able to evolve their sound without relinquishing their previous sound. Amazing production, Tree Along Shrubs is going to be a classic!!!!!!!! Beautiful music. I was amazed how the album took a different turn after the first three or two songs, the beats were crazy on this one, chords, basslines, harmonies, spacey sounds, breathy and sultry sounds! THIS IS PEREFECT YALL
This released on my birthday and I had to work a double and then coming home to this feels like I was here the whole time. I love y’all.
happy birthday
@@elevidence8380 Thank you ✨💜✨
Hey same! Honestly couldn’t have asked for a better birthday present
what a cool coincidence, I hope you had a great birthday!
The album hasn't even come out yet and I've already press the like button, that's Men I trust… I love u guys ❤️
I know I'm going to listen to this 2000 times over and over again
It's actually pretty wild, but I just ran across the academy in this photo last year and didn't even realize it was the album cover until now. Amazing album and that makes it even better for me. For those who are wondering, the building is now a library in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. It's a wonderful little spot and town
It just feels like making my dreams come true, walking alone down the street feeling grateful
Of course the day I stop smoking weed Men I Trust announce a new album...

I’m in love with “tree among shrubs”. The beat line so smooth it merges one with the keys, vocals, and the guitars. The lyrics feel like witnessing a glimpse of light in a mist of melancholy. Magnificent.
I feel protected, loved, like I'm being held close.
It is incredible how you can make thousands feel the same way through your art.

Serenade of water is the most beautiful tune I’ve ever heard, incredible!

I have listened to this album 3 times in the last 3 hours. Amazing as always.
This one is so special. That armonic progression. That synth. That lyrics betwen soul meaning and life. This song is brutal. Perfectly balanced and says to much about Men i trust... in those I TRUST
Ima need music videos with yellow subtitles for this album
im so excited for this u guys are my most favourite band love ur music
literal awakening, I feel like a new person after listening to this album. 10/10 album
This record makes me feel like a tropical fish in an aquarium in an empty restaurant in a half abandoned former industrial town in a small and cold European country in the late 1990s, listening to a St. Etienne single being played at 33rpm through the glass while watching the sun coming up behind the unfinished freeway bridge across the square.
That’s bananas I was just going to say that. Huh…… small world I guess…..or something…..
wait….. what?
Literally perfect album. The best mood and sound. Definitely the best album yet in my eyes.
Saw you guys live at the small FEQ event last month and I just got one thing to say... PLEASE NEVER STOP.
