stressed me out because i was tasked with installing the Porcelain to an area with so many changes in levels. Twists and major dips and turns in level. This was almost impossible to achieve. The video shows all of this and how we change this to try and over come the issues.
i get stressed but we turn it all in to laughter as usual.
I Love a challenge and this Porcelain patio certainly delivered that .
watch to the end for a bit of fun jay end up on the floor with laughter.

Got to sit down ,head rush, absolutely cracking me up. I know the feeling, cutting those slabs and they snap on you. Happens to us all but i do find the 4 inch grinder better.

I have laid tile long enough to get bad knees (I’m really old). I have also watched too many TH-cam videos and struggled as I watched people try to lay tile who have also watched too many TH-cam videos. Thank you for knowing your craft. I hope your customers know how lucky they are.

Never seen a patio thats been twisted and turned to suit levels without putting big straight joints in work until now. That was a great insight. To how its done. Nice one justin and the boys 👍

If you can overcome a job like that,then you can overcome anything Justin mate....50 is the new 40 I say🤣...I'm 52 this year and grunt like a pig getting up on a morning but that's just the job we do I suppose?I still enjoy my work but sometimes get stressed keeping everyone happy at this time of the year with drives/patios/walls etc.I can't understand why customers phone me this time of the year expecting me to fit them in more or less straight away knowing fine well I'm gonna be chocka🙈,crazy!Anyway,Happy birthday Justin mate👍😁

Was a mad one to do this one to be honest. Yea i dont answer my phone Dave got a pre set answer message so they can leave a message if willing to wait other wise i answer the phone for a 10mins call for nothing mare .

I felt your pain there Justin, just had the same on the last patio we did (porcelain), worst one was 4 attempts, had a few 3's and a couple of 2 attempts. We decided no more porcelain😅😅
Back on good old Indian sandstone now.
Not many on TH-cam share what a hard product it is to work with Paul.
Manufacturers should take more ownership of there products aswell.
Definitely not easy and then it gets expensive all the breakages and time it takes it puts a lot of pressure on the installer.

Great job Justin you are a true proffesional, can i ask what grout are you using at the minute. I have just laid 60 sq meters of light grey porcelain tiles and have bought Azpects EasyGrout slurry mix in dark grey but I am a bit nervous to use it.

We used flow point smooth in charcoal on this one .I have used the fuga pave ch grout and i find that brilliant but its totally different to flowpoint.
Never used any Aspects products so i can comment on it .
I no john at greentop has used Aspects and ive heard i likes it johns a very good professional so hopefully you be ok.

Hi Justin, fantastic job as usual especially disguising the change in level. I am starting my L shape patio today, how would you go round a 90 degree corner with the fall going towards the house into ACO’s? Would you do a diagonal cut on the corner or try and disguise like you have on this and other jobs? Any advice much appreciated 👍🏻

Very difficult to explain as there are so many eventualities. Id lay on the principle of this video and try to avoid if possible any 45 or 90 degree lines in the patio if that's possible. Hope that helps you 👍 and good luck hope it goes well for you mate 👍 😀

Hi there. I had the same problem with porcelain slabs breaking. I used a porcelain diamond blade, but the slabs still shattered.. I did think about using the screading method. Look like it worked well done 👏
Pain to cut some are better than otbers .yea the screed did us well but mix your own was expensive 👍

2 questions. 1. what whacker do you use? mine went up the blink yesterday and now got to buy a new one, but cant afford to spend big bucks on an expensive one, so looking at the lower priced ones between £350 and £500. and 2. could you do a video on how you cut your curves? cheers Just
I have a wacker neuson bomb proof not cheap though.

Haha pisser mate them marshalls tiles are questionable at times. Some cut better than others them the arento grey. Superb job Justin. Find all the different manufacturers tiles cut differently. London stone sent a fully coloured same if tie out to customer. Then when they sent the tiles they all had a solid 6mm black vien through the middle very cheeky on there part. The odd just see it doing through slightly. In yet got bullnose 1,s for stairs they were fine think some these manufacturers tell some porkies at times. Some tiles aren’t true also get we dips on the edges. Had 1200mm from talasey level hard on it 4ft level bottom end odd tile 1-1/2mm gap. Wee tip buddy probs do anyway keep the bone dry mot deck damp wetted down.
Yea your spot on with all that lee fully agree .manufacturers defo need to take more responsibility on there products.

IMO opinion the only way to cut porcelain is with a 4" grinder and an Abracs porcelain blade. Gotta be a continuous cut blade as thin as you can find

Yes, In my short experience laying 30m² of porcelain tiles I had much more success with the stated combo over a more expensive (and probably longer lasting) diamond blade by Marcrist.
Porcelain a waste of time lol
Its worth the effort its lovely product in many ways but to cut and install it takes a lot of skill .Its an unforgiving product that needs detail to achieve tbe best results 👌
@Brickright building & landscaping true yeah your work always is top notch make it look too easy hehe, i use a rubi saw on rails for cuts is basically an angle grinder as a small plunge circular saw shape havnt really had any issues with breakages just time consuming going 3-4mm a pass , I buggered one up 60m² with the grouting after all the hard work that went in to it was so defeating, decided just to stick with natural and concrete now and just the odd repair work on porcelain
