I attended the 2008 Dick Weber Open. Pete didn't have any outbursts though, despite having a bunch of tough break shots and ultimate loss against Mike Scroggins in the 1st match that day. What pleasantly surprised me was I when walked outside after the event and saw Pete was still there, smoking a cigarette alone, so I approached him and asked him if he could sign my collectors bowling pin and take a photo with me. He was actually really nice. He said "Oh sure!" then put his cigarette in his mouth, signed my pin, then threw the cigarette away when he posed with me for a photo. I told him he's my favorite bowler of all time since as long as I could remember and I was really rooting for him to win that day. He was really humble and even shook my hand with a kind midwestern "Thank you so much I really appreciate you." He and his wife Tracy seem to have a great connection too. She came out shortly after, asked him something in a very sweet tone, he replied in a gracious way, then proceeded off somewhere. Anyway, that reinforced my fandom for the guy, despite the often classless displays on tv throughout the years lol.
Pete gets a bad rap for the bad things he’s done or for people who just don’t like him. But Ive said many times on these types of videos. People go out if their way to be jerks to him trying to get reactions out of him. Anytime I have ever met him, Ive spoken to him with respect he’s earned and he has been nothing but a nice person
The plastic ball championship was so cool. I think an all spare ball championship would still be fun. Especially since the Mix and Axe have decent hitting power
The Right Lane, Thank you for uploading the 5 worst Moments of Pete Weber from the past seasons on the Pba Tour. Also, The Moments that stood out were Numbers 4, 3, and 1 where Pete Weber faced off against Walter Ray Williams Jr. Also, The 1st Semi Final Match from the World Championship between Walter Ray Williams Jr and Pete Weber was very Close.
I was at the 2003 World Championship at TSX in Taylor, Michigan when I was 15 with my parents. The tournament was at Taylor Lanes, where I grew up bowling as a kid. It is now closed, how I miss that place. Love these videos thank you!
1. I read somewhere that Pete Weber and Walter Ray Williams Jr have faced each other 12 times on TV; with WRW having a 10-2 record. Most memorable of their matches was the 1997 St Clair Classic; the last ABC Sports telecast of the PBA tour. 2. How about the five worst TV moments of Marshal Holman? I can name two of them right off the top of my head: 1990 ABC Fall Classic where he had a double gutter ball frame and the 1980 Showboat Doubles Classic where he kicked out a foul light which got him a $2.5K fine and a 10 week suspension. And he also lost 10 straight matches on TV (a record he shares with Steve Jaros) between 1981-1982.
I wouldn't be bothered by the same things that bother other pros. My mental game when I bowled was that I would zone out. I only concentrated on making my shot. Nothing else around me would be able to disturb me. The only way to get my attention would be to turn the lane off just before I released my ball.
@@theogyssey5702 I am just telling you my mental game when I was bowling and it is far better than worrying about hearing a pin drop. I am just stating a fact that you don't like hearing. There are some bowlers that no doubt have that kind of mental game. Although I think you would rather me have the mental game below right. I guess according to you I should be so focused on everyone in the crowd that the slightest move of a muscle would pull me off target and I would raise hell if it cause me to miss my target right. Kicking out foul lights and everything else right.
For those of you avid bowler watchers; from the video it seems walter ray williams jr was a tad bit better in general winning more titles as well? Or was it that pete seemed to be nervous vs walter. just curious
Love him or hate him you still watched what was going to happen when he was on the show. What the PBA needed in the late 90s and 2000s. Enter Belmo for the next love or hate player but for ability more than attitude.
There was a tournament some of you gurus can look up where Pete was throwing all strikes on one lane and couldnt buy a strike on the other. I think it was during the orange piranha years if that helps nail down the time period.
One you definitely could have put on here was when Randy missed a 5 pin spare. Pete had a good chance of winning but left a 3-4-6-7-10 then threw a gutter ball in the tenth frame
Great pick. Not very often you see a pro knock down 5 pins in two shots. Also the game before I believe Pete shot the lowest score to ever win a match (159)
th-cam.com/video/tSFvfuAqD3E/w-d-xo.htmlsi=uzcj1b_aCwZPjIrg I cannot believe you didn’t include this event. I just have to imagine you weren’t aware of it. I urge everyone to watch how outrageous the first 2 matches of this show were for Pete.

4:39 One of my favorite Pedersen quotes
Who did he think he was?! He wasn't!
Oh he was and who do you think you are? cause he is.
The plastic ball championship was so cool. I think an all spare ball championship would still be fun. Especially since the Mix and Axe have decent hitting power
Well thats kind of what the skill ball championship is for
they should do a no oil championship too
@@EGGJAZZ that wouldn’t even be that fun though. many people have shown that no oil challenges are not fun to do
The Plastic Ball Championship was done with specially made plastic balls by the PBA. Players couldn't use their companies plastic options.
They should definitely bring it back

He makes Marshall Holman look like a saint.
That's what a two-year-long cocaine addiction and alcohol dependency problem does to a motherfucker.
Yeah but Pete never destroyed any of the lane equipment that I can remember. Haha
Marshall was waaay worse. At least Pete didnt outright bully new players.
Lol. I always thought Marshall was a dick. Pete was the man who was on the knife edge of being a dick. But you want to have a beer with him.
Kingpin movie in real life! The sunglasses alone! 😂😂😂
Midnight rabbit hole material

Imagine being that cocky and thinking you're that cool about bowling. It's hilarious 😂
He was cool and rich from bowling .. Lol😅
It is hilarious! I totally agree!
He was really good at it which led to his many successes. What's your point?
Worst?? My ASS! Pete Weber, with all his passion and attitude was/is the goat.

Pete Weber Made His Dad( RIP)🙏 Very Proud. PDW🤘🏻
6:30 Del Ballard was 23 here.
Thats what 23 years of real food, sunlight, and normal everyday exercise gets ya. Nowadays kids are poisoned with garbage from the jump

I like to see a video of all Walter Ray's vs. Peter Weber match combinations by year if you can put that together.
Hey, I actually found this playlist a while ago. It's not perfect, but it's almost what you're asking for.

How can you hate Pete Webber? Come on man.
He wears sunglasses indoor and acts like a manchild
I was thinking the 2015 USBC Masters should’ve been on here. A real chance for him to both win the super slam, and win his 11th major
I am Pete I am, you never were..

Do Kris Prather next.
I forgot about Walter Ray’s 2000s frosted tips….
seeing this vintage footage makes me so jealous to not have been born in the 60s at times
PDW!
What about the 1984 Angle Open?
Top 5 Kyle Troup Worst moments. Also up to you but could you mention the person or persons who requested a certain player?
Plastic balls can hook if u have the hand and drilled the proper way and on the right pattern
Who do you think you are?

I've seen that before but I completely forgot about it! You're right, it definitely should have made the list.
Eugene Mccune next?
Couldn't beat Walter Ray on TV
Pete was always fun to watch
I Seen Angry Bowlers Like The Pissed Off Pete Weber On Television The Misses On The PBA Tour That Is What Pisses Him Off.
Who do you think you are? i am!

The worst ambassador for bowling ever if they tested for drugs he would have been banned lifetime
This little guy doing suck it reminds me of X-Pac half the size
I was a PW fan but sometimes he could be such a dick.
Looks awful full of himself for doing something drunk people do on a Friday night
He's a crybaby
Weber is the biggest toolbag ever in the game..
WRONG.
Miss Marshal Holman
This video sucked. More talking than showing what happened.
Please get on with the next clip. Tired of you yapping
Boring !!!!!
Don’t burn the steaks, Pete!
I hate Walter Ray
Peter Weber should not bowling because of is attached
