I've noticed alot of your fellow streamers are just.. unlikable assh*les and they make money. So I think I got this! One question for you boss man, should my channel be the same title as my gamer tag, or what?
I have been thinking about streaming for awhile now but never took the plunge and actually do it. At the moment I don’t want to be a professional, I just want to do it for fun but once I have practiced and got the hang of setting up streams that experimented a bit then I might go on to do it professionally 👍🏻 Even as a casual streamer though I will arrange a streaming schedule since I work full time and in a relationship so I’ll organise it around my spare time.

I didn't realize mobile streaming was so easy, I've wanted to stream my glass blowing studio as well as my music recording studio and I thought I'd have to get a new PC just for my glass and music studio. Thanks for the info

Really insightful…thank you! While not interested in being any kind of content creator, influencer, nor a game streamer (love games though), I have been interested in streaming the kind of work I do and offering mentorship to junior professionals in a live environment, and this gave me just enough direction to continue on my own.
Have tried OBS, but as you said in the video, it is bare bones to start and there are scarce few plugins or add-ons for Mac to make it anywhere near as useful (or fun) for me or viewers.

Thank you for the video! I have been thinking about streaming odd and on for a few years but i think im going to start just for fun for the timing being. I dont watch many stream tho, is there a specific length streams should be? Or can they be really short even? I dont have lots of time so i dont know how long the streams could be, but ik lots of people do them for like 6+ hours, would shorter streams like and hour or less just not be worth it?
It's up to you. But for gaming sessions usually most people do 2-8 hours

Hey I have a question about the video. So I currently stream through my Xbox. So my first question is so for me to add the cool stream effects and overlays I will have to purchase a capture card? Second for the capture card I have a Macbook pro, can I use this type of laptop to use for the streaming software for twitch studios?
You'd need a capture card and pc. Macbook Pro might work, but double check that Twitch Studio and other streaming software are compatible with mac

I use Davinci Resolve for all my editing and I use the desktop version of CapCut to edit my YT Shorts +

Hi! canyou please make a video about setting up audio! I guess I don’t understand the proper way to hook everything up.. i have a hyper x microphone , wired headset, elgato & Xbox series x with my laptop using Streamlabs! when i have my headset plugged into my microphone i can hear alerts and all game audio but cannot speak to my friends im playing with using my microphone but my twitch chat can hear them, then once i plug my headset into my controller i can talk to game by plugging in my attached headphone but then all game chat goes away from stream… im just super confused and you’re videos helped me set up my stream so figured I’d ask if you could help! thanks so much !

Is there any way to DL a Twitch stream and cut it up and edit it for TH-cam?
I've streamed a couple of times to Twitch but I could never find a way to do that and Twitch deleted the streams after 2 weeks which was really a major turn off for me trying to stream to Twitch. (Granted this happened several years ago, idk if things have changed since then)
Like, if they weren't gonna save my work could they not have let me save it myself and put it other places?

Streaming feels like it could be fun, it'd be a hobby but my times would be set in stone (due to working a set schedule at work). How much enjoyment do you personally get out of streaming? For someone not doing it as a full time (or even part time) job, would it be fun?
(I only ask so directly because it appears you've replied to like, every comment immediately below, lol)
I dipped a toe in streaming from my phone yesterday, Lol the hoops you have to go through to do it on TH-cam is ridiculous compared to Twitch if starting at Zero. I can see why Twitch is still the best place to start even if TH-cam feels like it has much more stable code underneath. You don't have to reply to this part I just wanted to rant into the void about minor frustrations :)
Complete and brutal honesty. I had a lot more fun streaming when I didn't do it for a full time job. Luckily I realized that early and took a focus to the TH-cam Channel and made this my full time job instead of streaming which is the best decision I've ever made. I still really enjoy streaming, but when my livelihood and paycheck depended 100% on it, it wasn't fun. Luckily now I put myself in a position that I CAN stream, but don't HAVE TO stream which makes it 1000 times better for my mental health and makes my streams a lot more fun for everyone involved since there's no one forcing me to be there.
As for TH-cam streaming, I personally experienced that if you don't make YT videos or Shorts to supplement your YT livestreams, then it's not really worth it. People don't usually find your YT channel from your livestreams, but rather from your shorts or videos and then come to your livestreams from those. But that's just my experience.

So it appears you had fun doing it part time, does that mean you had a regular job and did streaming on the side but then liked 'content creation' enough to make it full time?
So far I only plan on doing this in conjunction with my normal job, for fun, but I don't want to appear too amateurish so I am watching a ton of videos about basics before starting. Perhaps to my detriment but I'd rather have some kind of heir of professionality when I do things. Thx in advance for reading~
@@Sb129 Everyone has to start somewhere! So I wouldn't put too much prep into it and honestly just go for it. I worked at a restaurant when I first started streaming, but then liked the freedom of doing content creation full time compared to your typical 9-5 job :)

hey man question for you! so i notice streamers when they die or are loading, ect. in a game they can hotswap there camera size from the corner to there full stream. is there a way to set up a hot key to hot swap between camera sizes during a stream? im having trouble finding a video on this! cheers
I'd recommend just making 2 different scenes, 1 with the game w/ cam and the other 1 with just a full screen cam and using a hotkey to switch between the 2 :D

I've been interested in a streaming on twitch for a while but I'm currently juggling it with college as well so would it just be better if I schedule the streams for my free times despite wanting to do it as a hobby?

Hey man I don’t know how to fix this issue but I’ve already set up nighbot, stream labs and WiseBot but when I go live on my ps4 and I go to my twitch account my stream just doesn’t show up. I don’t think this is common but the stream just doesn’t show up on my account

Nope! There's pretty much no algorithm on Twitch so there's no worries on making a new account

Is ther a way to Use aCapture card and a web cam that uses an virtual avatar or would that be to complicated?
You could do that. It's definitely complicated, but you'd just set up your capture card like normal with your console game or whatever you're trying to stream and then after that's set up then you can learn about how to setup a virtual avatar and set that up in OBS

hi dude when i go on twitch studio i press my avatar to costumize it and it takes me to the browser when i was done i saved and went back but it is just the deafualt avatar still I tried going backto the browser and it was still how i put it can you help with this please
Try closing and re-opening Twitch Studio after you've made your changes on the Twitch Website :)

My issue is i havent been able to find a end stream button on my Playstation or on the twitch app and so far havent found anything to help me last i tried streaming console restarted and i lost my footage

You can switch between the two if you wanted to stream from your Xbox one day and your Phone the other day
What using a laptop to stream on twitch? What about streaming on youtube and twitch at the same time?
You can use a laptop to stream on Twitch. If you want to stream to both YT and Twitch at the same time you can use a service like Restream.io
I created a twitch account today and I live streamed me playing Webkinz next on my phone and I played for an hour and thought it was live streamed the whole thing but once I was done playing the live only recorded the first 10 minutes when I played for almost 2 hours. I'm still learning twitch streaming. I then went onto my other webkinz game on my phone and played for a few minutes to test it out and mind you I've been playing on webkinz next for over 2 hours and I'm very tired at thus point and now by the time I'm doing my 3rd live stream while playing I started to feel sick to my stomach and I ended the live which was only 10 minutes after a short little test I ended my last live stream and went to lay down. I went onto my twitch account to watch the 3 live streams and as I'm watching them I'm feeling sick to my stomach all over again. What am I doing wrong with my live gaming streams?
If your Twitch stream keeps ending, it can be due to bad internet connection, software conflicts, Twitch server, or your device hardware issues.
@@CpawsMusic thanks I live in the middle of nowhere out in the country and in my area our Internet is very crappy I didn't think of that.
I want part-time stream/hobby, but I'm wondering how would I set up my game files, PC I only play Sims at the moment maybe I will try Fornite, it reminds of a game I've played in the late 90s.
It's the whole stream management, game files, back up computer, equipment to start, small space PC stream.
I'd recommend getting an external ssd if you're planning on downloading a ton of games otherwise if you're just planning on streaming 1 or 2 then you don't really need to worry much about it.
@@CpawsMusic External Drive makes sense even if it's Sims because those mods add up.
