Hands down the best dog I've ever owned. I had a Male (Captain Morgan/Patch on eye) and Female (Leeloo/had gorgeous eyeliner eyes). So loving and gentle. When we moved onto a small Ranch they literally decimated the Rabbit and Gopher population and had an easy time keeping coyotes away. They are deceivingly fast and athletic. I truly miss them.
I watched your video a number of times since I first heard of the Dogo in 2013. We finally got two when I retired from the military in 2016, and we now have four (no more though). They are like our kids. We designed our forever home around them. They have a large indoor and outdoor enclosure for when we are gone during the day. When we get home the have a half acre fenced yard, and we live on a private airstrip (no planes ever use it) where they love run. It backs up to farmland and there are hogs, foxes, coyotes, rabbits etc and provides a lot of different scents for them. We built a large shower room for bathing the Dogo's. We lived in two different houses while building our new home and made it work, but it's so much better when they have a home that allows all of us to live as a family. The dogs are much happier. You are spot on about the Dogo working their way into your heart and how well they read you. Amazing breed!!!
My DA is 3yo now. Awesome disposition, loves everybody, especially kids. He's so loyal and dedicated that you can't help but spoil him rotten. Best "roomie" I've ever had!
I brought a Dogo from Brett and Renata - I got pick of the first litter from the two dogos in this video. Everything Brett talks about is true and his Dogos are loved family members. The puppies are hand raised from birth. I visited Brett's house three times and stayed for leisurely visits - I liked everything I saw. Our puppy Luca has been super healthy - a strapping boy - almost 90lbs at 7 months. He is a rock star wherever we take him. Great with children, people and dogs of all sizes. He was the best student in his beginning obedience class, that was full of German Shepherds, by a country mile. Super healthy dog with a beautiful shiny coat. If you are looking for an urban dogo this is the place to go for sure! I should add that I am an experienced big dog owner and that I work with Luca everyday and they must know who the boss is!
Charles Patton how can I contact them to buy one. I have a pretty big home, nice size yard. We have a blue nose Pitt not aggressive at all loving playfull dog.
Very nice & informative video. Drove 500 miles to adopt my first Dogo in Maryland named Bishop (renamed Courage). He died at 11. We're on our second adopted Dogo Max, renamed "Chowdah" (yeah, we live near Boston) from Randi at Iron Rock in Texas. He is a Legends Dogo from Ohio (shitty breeder, now shut down). Originally, I did the "which breed is right for you?" test. I wanted a dog that was good sized for protection, intelligent & easy to train, less shedding, minimal human agression & barking (I had a neighbor with an asshole Beagle & another with a Yorkie). Test results were a German Shepherd (my Uncle was a King Shepherd breeder with ACK champs) or the Dogo. The test results said that if someone is near your house, your GSD will bark & go crazy. With a Dogo, the only sounds you will hear is the burglar screaming. Yep, that's the dog for me!!! I haven't turned back, I've been a Dogo owner for 16 years & there is no other breed for me.
I have an "urban" Dogo. I keep her physical activity up with long walks and bike rides. But you are absolutely right...if she sees a cat..POW she's ready for the chase. Back in Hawaii she ended up catch a few wild chickens while biking with me off leash. Great dog though. She loves attention, loves kids and is way too smart. They will figure out how to open Tupperware lids.
i'm from argentine, i had dogos for many years and you nailed it with all the information you gave, very good video! Yes they are awsome and excelent family dogs. Thanks for the video and good luck with your breeding job!
Dogo’s are super dogs!! I just picked up my third last week. 11 weeks old and 33 lbs already. My male Kaymen passed last year and my puppy Wyatt will be filling that void. If you own a Dogo you can relate. They fill your heart like no other dog can. My female Lily is also a daughter of Morocho. Such a good Hunter. She has caught many Javalina’s. They do read people. You need to be aware of their surroundings when off leash as they are fast and do lock on to prey quickly. This video is very informative. Very interesting that most people that have Dogo’s have very similar descriptions. Best dogs ever for experienced owners.
Sup010101 I have staffordhsire bull terrier whos 16 inches tall 60lbs, 22lbs over breed standard and hes still in shape. so like hes like a pocket bully really haha
my family and I live in England and we had a dogo Argentino and although it's against the law we bought one anyway and he was lovely and we never had a problem with him. they are very loving, protective, and loyal. RIP to my best friend hulk.
We have a urban Dogo as well. And everything you said is 100% accurate. If you live in a hotter climate, they will blow their coat in the summer. Otherwise, one of the best family/protective breeds ever!
I have a Dogo mix got Her , her Sister and Brother from a Shelter. My Sons took one of the Females and the Male . My Dog has to be the best Dog I've ever owned , loving and just a joy to be around. She is very good with the Grand Children She's friendly to everyone who comes around, even strangers. Wouldn't have any other kind of Dog
Wow this one of your best videos so far. This man has incredible depth on this breed and it's the breed my wife and I have been wanting and looking into acquiring for our family. Excellent video!
Dogos are one of the only "mastiffs" that really grab me; probably because when you look at the background, they aren't mastiffs the way others are. Very fit, large but not giant, lithe graceful athletes and warm and affectionate, while still being incredible hunters! Sensible animals, energetic yet able to calm. I think they have allergy issues a lot which these people did not touch on, but all in all I really like the family and the way they (well ,mostly the husband) presented their dogs and the breed. I hope Dogos stay the wonderful dogs that they are. Thanks Zeke for another great dogumentary!
Great video. Lots of information. I’m convinced that I’m getting a Dogo from this family. I have talked to Brett over the phone and I can sense his Pacion for the Dogos. He is not just about the $$$$ he is all about the love. Keep up the great work. Blessings from Las Vegas.
I have dogo pup he had some deafness issues. Is it safe for our family cause I have kids of age 4 and 7. Currently they play and take good care of each other.is it safe in future I m first timers
Absolutely majestic. I had a Dogo and didn't even realize it until after he and his mom were killed by the train. Whitey Ford was only 14 months old and his mom, Suzie Q, was 11 yrs when they were taken from me. I still cry everyday. They truly were my family, just like kin.
Most dogs are if raised with cats. We have 5 dogs and 7 cats. No issues at all. My friends are always surprised how good they get along. But thanks for the comment. With some breeds of hunting dogs it can be an issue with cats if the hunting instinct kicks in. Good to hear your Dogo gets along with them so well.
I agree with your explanation , my Dogo is exact like that Once A Dogo , you Will never want an other breed !! There great , but only for responseble owners And you need time for the dog , everyday I take 1 hour just for him Playing , running , biking etc He is my mate for live
My wife and I really want one, Our last dog was a super hyperactive Siberian Husky and extremely intelligent...But We also have two cats that are very territorial, My Bombay used to beat up on the Husky just because he walked by...I dont want to put another pup through that so we have to wait till my Bombay buddy passes on, I'd like to get one as a young pup and also another kitten to raise them together so hopefully he won't turn on cats and vice versa...We love Cats...AND Dogs, we have a city full of other dogs, lots of pits, rots, boxers, you name it...no Dogos though. Oh And here in Oregon we cannot use Dogs for hunting...Lots of other things they can do though. Frisbee, playing ball, Running...We also have a 7 yr old boy, I think a Dogo if trained and treated right would be a fantastic addition to the family someday.
dogo will make a great family pet. they are extremely affectionate. they do have a high prey drive tho (idk about living with cats) they will be ok without hunting but definitely need a lot of exercise. amazing temperament.
I love Dogos. Never seen one though. The closest I've gotten was a Dogo/Cane Corso mix. Looked like a Corso but was white with a brindle patch on his side.
awesome breed.. I have a female that we rescued from the shelter in Naples Florida..she is completely deaf the sweetest dog ever. extremely protective. very smart. I can't say enough positive things about dogos.
Like all kind of powerfull dogs Bro , Dogo is very strong and lovely at the same time . You only be your guide showing limits since baby without violence or shouts
Everything Brett and Hinata have described about this breed is spot on. My 3 yr. old male is fits the profile to a tee. If you don't have the time or can't make the commitment to own this breed, then do yourself a favor and pass up getting a Dogo. They demand to be an integral member of the family.
I live in Australia and the country has finally lifted it's restricted banned dog breeds, were the Dogo was on that list sadly. Now in 2017 they will be ready to be imported into the country :D. I was lucky enough to meet a Dogo in real life twice in Europe. Amazing looking specimens.
Great Video, I own dogos and everything in this video is pretty spot on except about cats. As long as you lay strong boundaries with your dogo and train properly they will be friendly with your cats, they will chase neighbor cats though as they know the difference. They know your cats are a part of the family (as long as you treat them that way) my dogo and cat snuggle and sleep together all the time, my cat licks my dogos face and gives him cat baths and my male dogo will actually walk up to my cat waiting for kisses from him. when he was a puppy he did at first try to chase the cat, and we just corrected him and finally, the cat accepted him and they are now very close to each other. My dogo won't let anyone mess with his cat, and he shows the cat so much respect, I'm very impressed with how good he is with him and how easy it was to get them acquainted. I only had to correct him twice as a puppy and he never chased the cat again and has never bitten the cat. He is only 2 yrs, so as long as you train them they are Great even best buds with your cats!!! My cat doesn't even like dogs so its a big respect thing for him to come up and give my dogo kisses. I told them both from the get go they had to get along though because I wasn't getting rid of either no matter what. My dogo comes from show lines, I have 2 other rescue dogs pit/shepherd mix and Chow mix and the cat is also a rescue. All great animals, and Drogo, my dogo gets along great with everyone. He is great with all dogs small and large and even aggressive dogs he knows how to calm them down. I used to let him play with a rescue boxer who was used as a bait dog and super aggressive toward other dogs, he would let her get a few punches and bites in then just run her until she was tired and they became best friends. So even when another dog is being extremely aggressive and even attacking a dogo they will not fight or hurt it unless absolutely necessary. At least my dogo won't, he's extremely intelligent, gentle, wise beyond what words can describe, almost impossibly patient, and just the kindest dog I've ever met in my entire life and ive been around dogs all my life. Its important to get a dogo from a good bloodline, who you know the full history of both the dam and sire. they do require a consistency, your time, training, and Love like you would give to your own child, so true unconditional love and they will give it back 1,000 fold. No dog will love you as much as this breed, protect you to the death, and protect your family like this dog can.they are extremely laid back and aware at the same time. Also, this breed loves to cuddle!! So please don't get them if you won't allow them on your bed with you! mine personally gets his feelings hurt if he gets kicked off the bed, and will vocally protest sometimes, these are extremely sensitive dogs and each has their own personality. They do not do good with negative reinforcement, which means they dont like to be yelled at or physically punished. Dogos usually dont try to do anything wrong or bad on purpose, they are big pleasers when it comes to making thier owner happy. They do much better with positive training, train with treats, sounds, most of all love and hugs. Mine works best when he gets physical rewards such as head rubs, hugs, and belly rubs along with a good boy and I love you bubba. They love to be told they are a good boy or a good dog. Mine will actually wink at you tell him you love him or say something nice to him. These dogs are 1000 times wiser than us, and honestly, in most cases I think they may even be smarter than us. They are so aware they pick up on everything, he can pick up things several acres away that I can't even see going on with my neighbors (we live in the country). So just be aware of that and dont yell at them to shut up or be quiet. They arnt meant to be disrespected like that. I usually just ask mine what he is barking at and what's up and look out the window/ gate to try to see what he is seeing, then tell him good boy for letting me know and he will usually stop once I check out the "threat" or situation he is alerting too. You just have to remember they want to please you and the job they were bred for was guarding and big game hunting and if you scold or yell or punish them too much you might break or damage that bond with them, and with a dog as good as this you really dont want to do that!! If that is your training style or personality style please dont own these dogs, they deserve so much more than that!
Love Mambo. Learned something knew about them. There is a video of a bunch of dogs struggling real hard to bring down a wild boar for about 10 min....then all of a sudden this Dogo shows up and just handles it in like 2 seconds. Powerful dog.
Great video I have one 7 months old best dog I've ever had. she is 1 of the family everything you said is spot on. She is on the couch with me at 2 am sleeping like a big baby while I'm typing this.
@@trigueiros113 yeah overall strength yes but pound for pound there's very few dogs that are as strong as the APBT and not only it's incredible strength for its size but their overall ability to adapt to almost all situations. I love all dogs the same and each bring different aspects to the table. Argentinas are most definitely one of the bravest and strongest dogs out there.
I start to like this breed but what I read most of the time they very dominant with home owners, isit true? On the point to get me one because I'm looking for a nice family gaurd dog,and stil dont know what breed to choose ,Dobberman or Dogo🙋♂️
Dogos are not killers. They were bred to track as a pack and hold the prey until the hunter dispatched the prey by cutting it's throat. I have one, and he is so smart, cordial, goofy, fun-loving and affectionate!
What a buitiful dog I like to no how much a pup would go for I wouldn’t buy from any one else but theses two husband and wife breeders very knowledgeable about this breed great job keeping it real with theses dogs
First saw a Dogo on Ray Donovan and really fell for the breed. The description they are giving about the Dogo sounds exactly like the traits of my Pit Bull.
I currently have a Belgian Malinois. He requires work, exercise and Sport drills. Consistently being involved mentally and physically. Are dogos good with other dog breeds? Or should they stick with only dogs they grew up with in the household
i was wondering if their was a way to send a pic of our new puppy so i could get ur opinion if her mom was dogo? i know the dad was a full blooded akita but the man we got her from had the mom less than 6months and got rid of her and the dad when she had the pups. thank u
The guy looks and sounds more sober in this video compared to the other one! 😁 Jokes aside, they must be very good owners/breeders, the dogs are very calm, confident, not easily distracted even in an open space with the crew and possibly other distractions around. They look really stable, well done!
My daughter has a dogo who is a son of morocho, his name is bambino and he is an amazing animal. He has hunted wild boar here in south florida and he did very well. But he is now older and he like to just hang around the house with use his two cats and his son mr biggie smalls. We love our dogos and learned so much about them over the years. They a loyal brave and serious about protecting their families.
Amazing video, I have a female dogo akc registered, she is stockier than this female she looks probably closer to in between your male and female and the power is unreal. I also hit a pitbull Rottweiler mix male who is strong but there’s just another gear with her she’s an all out athlete like you said
A vous les pros du Dogo ..... Les oreilles coupé c'est non seulement interdit mais les oreilles qui tombes ça a son utilité au Dogo.. A bon entendeur salut @+Chrys
Thanks for that info I'm actually looking forward to getting a Dogo I had a few questions if you don't mind me asking. I wanted to get one for years now and I was wondering if they would he okay as a service dog? not necessarily for that purpose but just so he or she has that level of discipline and training. Also I was advised that it would be better for me to get a female because she would be more obedient since I would the Alfa in that relationship vs having a male who every once in a while you would have to show your dominance to remind him. I just wanted to see if that info was accurate. Lastly if I were to get a female I personally would like for her to be a little bigger then 90 pounds are all the females that skinny ? Or are there some that get just as big as the boys, sorry for all the questions
I never owned a dogo but this guy answers damn near any question I thought of. He did an excellent job with this
Hands down the best dog I've ever owned. I had a Male (Captain Morgan/Patch on eye) and Female (Leeloo/had gorgeous eyeliner eyes). So loving and gentle. Moracho no. Morocho yes.
Morocho....mean : brunette

A man I can relate to, a Brazilian wife (I am assuming) and Dogo dogs. Simply paradise!!!!
Love Mambo. Learned something knew about them. There is a video of a bunch of dogs struggling real hard to bring down a wild boar for about 10 min....then all of a sudden this Dogo shows up and just handles it in like 2 seconds. Powerful dog.
good job Zeke ,you really are taking this channel to another level!
thank you soo much for your advice.i have just bought my 1st dogo today.
Great video I have one 7 months old best dog I've ever had. she is 1 of the family everything you said is spot on. She is on the couch with me at 2 am sleeping like a big baby while I'm typing this.
I love these beautiful dogs
great video lately you have been showing the best of the best bully breeds keep up the good work
great great beautiful dogs, maybe the only dog i would say it equal with apbt in athleticism and looks
Much much much more strongh and Pain tolerance
@@trigueiros113 yeah overall strength yes but pound for pound there's very few dogs that are as strong as the APBT and not only it's incredible strength for its size but their overall ability to adapt to almost all situations. I love all dogs the same and each bring different aspects to the table. Argentinas are most definitely one of the bravest and strongest dogs out there.
@@jayclouds5599 ONLY boerboel, bullmastif or presa canário can compete with dogo
Great description of a dogo! I have a male from de la cocha and he is very muscular. He does shed more on the heavy side though!

Beautiful noble dogs
Great video. Thank u for all the information.
We have one just turn 6 years old! He is awesome, We love him!!! ADORABLE
Bought one from these couple! My male pup, Axel is like a formula 500 car! Wild pup ( nips like crazy ) but we love him.
This fam is living the life and respect for them for taking care and knowing so much . And offcourse Dog.TV
Que bueno es perro es Dogo Argentino 😀🇦🇷🦌🐕🇦🇷
Thank you! for posting this video. I found it truthful and knowledge filled about this breed of dog.
*pablo is the best dogo argentino i ever seen*
I have had one …amazing dogs
Veery nice dog....!!
I currently have a Belgian Malinois. He requires work, exercise and Sport drills. Consistently being involved mentally and physically. Are dogos good with other dog breeds? Or should they stick with only dogs they grew up with in the household
Real good info I watch the whole video &! Nice dogs
Great video
Great dogs. If I wanted a bully looking dog this would be it.

Gorgeous
Beautiful dogs
Great info, Thanks. Any for sale?
❤️❤️❤️❤️beautiful
Love my Dogo❤
If you're going for a service dog, get a Labrador dude. 😂
Also read alot of dominance issues
Bully bad ass I've been waiting on this! Thank you!
