It would maybe be easier to see what you are doing if the string were a different color. With black it is sometimes difficult to see what you are doing when the strings are going under and over and in between.
For question 1, I used simple 6 mm wooden beads and broken cowrie shells. You can buy them online or in a specialized shop. ( Here is an example: www.ebay.com/itm/175710961520?hash=item28e9307f70:g:Lo0AAOxyBLxRHd-H or www.etsy.com/listing/664877363/cowrie-shell-small-natural-sea-shell?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bulk+cowrie+shells&ref=sc_gallery-1-1&sts=1&plkey=b7a2850399005f72a601f72592a03ff7a03d014e%3A664877363). Instead of the wooden beads you can use any other type of beads you like. Regarding question no. 2, for this type of bracelet, you need shells that are broken, because the 2 strings must go through the shell and cross in the middle of the shell, otherwise, if the shell was full, with the back on, it would fall out from between the 2 strings.
How long is the string supposed to be?
Thank you❤
Thank you for such an excellent tutorial. You went at the right speed and were careful to let us see what you were doing.
Thank you for watching!

What kind of string did you use?
You can use 0.9 mm or 1 mm cord.
