Some people believe harnessing bunnies is cruel, but I think that it isn't if you do it properly, and if your rabbit is OK with it. Thanks for this amazing video!
I just wanna harness so when I go out I'm obviously getting him a play pen and a pet bag but I wanna use it for safety so my rabbit can play out doors with out no running aways
FOR ALL OF THOSE NOT SO ADVENTUROUS BUNS: You can always give your bun sunshine by putting them in an exercise pen outdoors, sitting in with them, and just chilling!
Okay, so the story goes like this, I had a bunno for three years, he HATED his harness. Sadly, because of problems with his kidneys I lost him a few months ago. Now I have a new bun, they’re still a baby, and after watching this video I went to the shop and bought exactly the same harness like the one you’re showing in the video. I was prepared for “NO TAKE IT OFF OR I’LL CHEW IT AND TEAR IT IN PEACES!” but I dressed them in the harness coat and bunno was totally chil! They even sploot while having the harness on, they even FLOP with it on! They feel so comfy in it! Thank you so much for the tips, can’t wait for weather to get better (it’s very cold and rainy rn there where we live) and we’ll have small wholesome walks in the park! Please give Cinnabunn a treat in return for the amazing tip! Again tysm!! We love your videos
My bun loves going into the backyard but just recently discovered he can escape, we also live in the country and there’s always vultures and hawks. So this video helped big time! Thank you Morgan and Cinnabun ❤✨
Oh man, bunnies and harnesses is challenging for me to be okay with, but I really appreciate you emphasizing safety, respecting a bunny's boundaries, and considering a bunny's history while training. These are super important. Being able to pick up your rabbit and making sure the bunny is okay with being picked up is also something to consider, as they might be even more terrified if something happens and the bun parent has to do it int he moment.
I’m definitely looking into that for my bun! I’m always so scared that he will escape through my fence or get picked up by a predator so I think he’s only been out once or twice. So excited to let him run around outside for a bit❤️
i am a very experienced bunny mom. this is the BEST video about this subject i have ever seen. should be mandatory viewing for all bunny parents even thinking about using a harness on their baby!!! thank you
Hi, you say you're very experienced. Would you mind helping me out? I'm a lil on the advanced side but I have a few questions regarding bonding with my bunny :)
@@hhdbhn302 I began bribing my baby with treats. I made her approach me. Over time i slowly moved my hand to touch her head/nose area. i never pick her up or make her do anything she doesn't want to do. when she felt safe around me i would pet her until she had enough. she now lays beside me on the couch wanting attention when she is active in the a.m. & p.m. it's slow but worth it. good luck
I have an almost 9 month lionhead Holland lop mix female. I have been curious about this but have never tried it. My older male rabbit was so good that he could walk with me on his own to play outside in the yard.
This video is a complete guid!! I had tried it on my bunny when she was 6 months old she just suddenly panicked and ran in circles around home. I was not able to stop her she was hitting everything to get rid of it finally I could help her to open it and then she peed of fear…. I gave her treats she didn’t eat …I was crying and very guilty…. I bought all types of rabbits favorite fruits finally she grabbed pineapple and I said many times sorry to her now she doesn’t ever remember that moment because I never done that again also is very risky we have eagles and big birds in korea and also outside many dogs and cats they are very fast and until you save your rabbit might be too late… Thank you for the video🍀🐇
When you put the guess what Sundays video is on IG, I commented on your post and said I had no idea.... and the pics you had of CB in the harness was so obvious to know it was a harness video😂😂😂😂
I'd say know your bun, their personalities vary from one to another so it depends on your rabbit preference. I really liked this video 🥰 I also think taking your bun out, if your bun wants to, it's a very good experience for them, and very rewarding for them too.
So I would definitely do a leash test run before going outside. It’s always best to try all new things in a rabbits comfort zone. I had a rabbit that didn’t mind his harsh at all nut as soon as I connected the leash and he felt that weird sensation he freaked out. Also, if your taking your rabbit outside you need to check them for parasites and treat them as needed.
I also have 2 of those pink harnesses for my bunnies!! Ive also been wondering how to harness train my buns without stressing them out. Thank you for this!!
1:15 love this video already. Thx for being honest. 1:44 ❤ 1:58 thx 2:13 that's what I was thinking...it may pull some strands roo 2:55 stretchy leash? Got it. That's a great idea 3:07 lol my bunny is like 2 yrs old😅. In my defense I have children and a dog in the house. (she's not scared of anyone and is really into getting head rubs and pets. But I'm extra cautious with her as she's a dwarf and is like 2 lbs). 6:40 i think this is something i need to try. In my backyard😅. Shes pretty adventurous and is okay with me comforting her in new situations. I think she'd enjoy this as she's shown interest in being outside (looking through my front door). Thx for this video. ❤ it gave me a bit more to think about. I'm just doing some research before i commit. And of course i don't wanna have her out in the 5inchss of snow we currently have. (i give her snowballs but i worry about her getting cold being outside amidst the sbow)
I’m getting a really cute bun! I’m a previous bunny owner so I know a bit but my rabbit hates wearing a harness so thanks so much! And I know so many rabbits love them 💙💙💜🖤🧡but all of them are different💖MY rabbit if I put one on he gets it off easily and make sure Cinnabon is safe!
I set Sugarplum on top of the harness. It is like Cinnabun's harness but blue, and hook the front at the back of his neck, not having to reach under his neck, and then turn it around and secure the velcro at the tummy area. Though, late at night, I let Sugarplum run all around our yard for an hour or so. We live in a safe and quiet neighborhood.
Thank you so much! I have a VERY adventurous hotot boy who loves to spend supervised time in his outside pen, but he seems to want more exploring, so this would be really helpful!
I’m so glad you posted this! I definitely tried and she darted through the grassy part of our pet store parking lot before she begged to be picked up! I was so tired! I definitely want to try again. 😂
This is awesome to know, thank you. My naughty boy has escaped somehow a number of times outside and fortunately is easy to catch since he's well handled and plays a bit of "keep away" instead of outright running from people, but I tried a couple times to walk him on a leash(Letting him have his way) and he just got sulky and fought it. I'll try the having him wear it around the house or his pen a few minutes at a time.
I got that harness before I seen this video and I am looking forward to taking my bunny on walks she used to go outside when she was little but with no harbess
