@@andrez1142 Apparently you didn't notice my avatar. Anyhow, I've owned my Heads/Cam/LT/intake/tuned 08 C6 Z06 since 2017. I've have been driving fast cars aggressively on the street for the past 30 years.

Nice car, I also own one. Now the thing is to be relax, smooth driving. You look stressed out, keep the hands on the wheel and when you are about to shift then take one hand to the stick. You look undecided to shift or not to shift. Keep pushing and practice. You have a great car to carve curves.👍👍👍

What exactly are the head issues on these cars. I'm in the market for a vette but dont want to buy something I have to sink a ton of money into from the start
@@jrvbamafan1 hollow exhast valves and out of round valve guides. All model years for the z06 suffer and have a tendency to drop exhaust valves grenading the engine.
@@doyleboyscustoms3151 oh ok. Well damn I didnt know that. Makes me think twice about looking at a z06 now. I dont want to pick up something I've got to immediately get fixed. Appreciate the response
@@jrvbamafan1 these cars run for about 30k-40k. That being said if you find one for about 35 and go through rpm or another reputable shop for the head fix youll make it out without your pockets hurting. I just got lucky yesterday and found one with a built texas speed motor from rpm for 31k. Car has well over 40k into it
Enjoy the car man, you're short-shifting way too much. I have a H/C/I C6Z06 and redline it any chance I get.
Thanks so much, I’m still getting used to the car, only put like 500 miles on it so far, but once I’ve get up to like 5.5k I start to spin pretty bad as well. Hopefully I’ll be banging through gears better soon ☺️

Redlining the ls7 is actually not the best idea it puts a lot of unnecessary wear on that engine plus peak power is hit well before 7,000 rpm in this thing
I truly hope you have a radar detector? I also enjoyed seeing the Vette ride through town. I needed to see the suspension at low speeds. BTW the Z06 is on a Z51 suspension, correct?
No...stiffer springs and roll bars than a Z51 with different shock valving

@@petercarey6883 It's a beautiful road, one of the best that I could find close by. Unfortunately, there is usually a decent amount of traffic on it and it's curvy enough that it's hard to pass. I really should chill on the high rpms your right hahah, hopefully I can fix the heads issue asap it's just a financial issue at this point.

You should at least have your radar detector in use, if your going to drive like that, cause you never know when the trooper might be shooting around the curve. fifteen over the speed limit and your toast.

@@CaylebPletos I got the S3 or S4 Solo not really sure but I got it because it was cordless and you can store it quickly when going in somewhere. But it has saved me a couple times. lol

Art 354 what do you mean? What’s your guess as to what happened? I’m still deciding between a C6Z or C7 stingray and one detouring factor is the C6Z seems to always break loose... I wish I knew why, it’s honestly a concern of mine
@@dylancoric3734 Yeah C6's are more wild, C7 is more civilized. But if you are experienced driver it shouldn't be a problem for you. It depends which one you like more in terms of appearance
@@dylancoric3734 The C6Z in the vid is running all seasons. A pair of semi slicks in the rear should do the trick. Just keep the traction control on and it should never concern you.
Your driving makes me nervous, but what makes me more nervous is that grenade under the hood. Every time you start that engine, you take a chance of those valve guides failing and pulling the pin....
That's an overrated issue that for the most part plagues a very small percentage of early model C6 Z06s
@@goldenmanuever1176 Cool a simple search on Corvette Forum will give you the numbers..It's a small percentage, besides if you're buying a Vette you can easily afford that fix.
